Wolverine Cage Fight Cake! - Geeky Cake of the Week
For the birthday of her friend Roslee (a “BIG Hugh Jackman fan”), it occurred to confectionery artisan Kathy to combine three of every man’s favorite things: double-layer cake, Wolverine from the X-Men, and cage matches.
If this is what Kathy does for her girlfriends, what do her guy friends get for their birthdays? Steroids and a jack-hammer?
Whatever. I’m just glad that a cake featuring bladed weapons and a ring-cage have finally graced the pages of this here blog. Took long
'Wolverine' Producer Teases 'Deadpool' Film
In a red carpet interview with ComingSoon.net/Superhero Hype!, Lauren Shuler Donner producer for the upcoming X-Men Origins: Wolverine had nothing particularly new to say about the prequel in which Hugh Jackman will reprise his role as Wolverine. However, her comment on the job Ryan Reynolds does with his role as Deadpool in the film opened up an intriguing possibility.
When asked about a possible spin-off for Reynold’s character, Schuler Donner responded: "I hope so. I really hope so. He'
Be Still My Heart -- New 'Australia' Trailer!
The release date of Australia is a mere month away, yet there's been little in the way of promotion for it. A few posters, a new release date, a few interviews with Hugh Jackman and Nicole Kidman -- that's it. While this could spell a lack of confidence, I think it's largely due to the fact that Baz Luhrmann was still tinkering with the film as of August.
But at last, there is a new trailer, courtesy of MSN, but sans embed code. It's an odd trailer. It starts off in a style that's quite contemporary, both

Hats Off To Hugh - Pants, Too, While You're At It
Let's call a spade a spade - there is no legitimate reason for posting these pics of Hugh Jackman beyond the fact that "he's so pretty." So, that's what I'm doing. Deal with it.
For those of you who need to rationalize ogling the gorgeous actor -- try this on for size: Hugh will grace the cover of October's Men's Health where he talks all about getting in shape to play Wolverine in next May's prequel, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine."
And f'reals, the casting director of that movie should be my new BFF -- ju
Theories About Bloggers [Kevin Roberts]
Kevin Roberts is an important ad agency CEO, which makes one wonder why his blog is all about how he loves Hugh Jackman, Italy, and rugby. George Parker's theory: because Roberts is the "world's most pretentious douchenozzle."

Producer talks Wolverine Origin film
X Men Origins: Wolverine will be released in May next year, and new has been a little thin on the ground. Now one of the producers has been talking about what we can expect.
Lauren Shuler Donner pretty much sums it up in three words, and repeats them a lot.
For the uninitiated, X Men Origins: Wolverine, stars Hugh Jackman reprising his role as Wolverine from the X Men films. What can we expect from a film telling the back story of the mysterious Wolverine? Lauren Shuler Don

Time to Hype up Wolverine and Deadpool in X-Men Origins Flick
Not by me of course. Producer Laurewn Shuler of X-Men Origins: Wolverine recently spoke with comingsoon.net about the film, in process she tries to tease the fans about Wolverine and Deadpool. I’m not falling for it because I know the truth! Here is what she had to say:
May 1st, 2009! I guess it’s closer to the first “X-Men” in tone because it’s a little darker, but there’s a lot of action. It’s his origin story. It’s really good. I’ve been in the edit
Trailer Cache: Australia
The new trailer for Baz Luhrmann's Austrailia has us a little dumbfounded. The film, Mr. Luhrmann's first since striking the fancy of Oscar voters seven years ago with his multiple nominated revisionist musical Moulin Rouge!, features so many references to other movies that it's actually hard to keep up.
Mostly Australia culls from African Queen; Hugh Jackman actually appears to be wearing Humprhey Bogart's wardrobe from the John Huston film, while Nicole Kidman seems to be reading Katherine Hepburn's di
Must Watch: Second Full Trailer for Baz Luhrmann's Australia
Welcome to Australia. An epic and exciting new trailer for Baz Luhrmann's Australia has debuted this morning. At long last we finally get to see what this movie is really all about - the "rule breaking" romance between Hugh Jackman and Nicole Kidman. I've said it before when the first trailer hit and I'll say it again - this movie looks absolutely amazing.
I definitely think Baz Luhrmann has pulled off another huge success and I really can't wait to see it. At least it'll be enough of a love letter to A

CHICAGO– In his short career as a writer and director, Neil Burger has taken on the John F. Kennedy assassination in “Interview with the Assassin” and the mysteries of magic in “The Illusionist,” which starred Edward Norton, Paul Giamatti and Jessica Biel. The latter came out the same year as the similar film “The Prestige” with Christian Bale, Hugh Jackman, Scarlett Johansson and Michael Caine.
With his new film “The Lucky Ones,” Burger tackles the dichotomy between the fighting soldier
‘Australia’ Trailer Not Totally Helping Hugh Jackman’s Case
Earlier this month, the Times revealed some of 20th Century Fox's anxieties about Hugh Jackman, the star of their big-budget epic love story Australia — namely, the fact that people sort of think he's gay. So how's the movie's new trailer do in beefing up Jackman's manly pedigree? It starts off well enough, with Hugh throwing down in a big dusty brawl. But when his love interest, Nicole Kidman, shows up, he's more thrown off by having a guest around than he is having a hot woman in his presence. We do

New ‘Australia’ trailer
I’ve been hearing some good things about Hugh Jackman’s performance all along, but for some reason, he’s never cracked my Best Actor chart. It’s a crowded field, but anyway, this is a great trailer. I’m a Baz supporter through and through, and I’ve been told this isn’t the straight-up epic it appears to be from the materials released so far. It isn’t Baz restraining his vision for the sake of a style of film he hasn’t tackled yet; it is very much a
New 'Australia' Trailer: A Romantic Adventure with Wolverine and The Others
If Crocodile Dundee II were a big-budget Lifetime Original Movie based loosely on Pearl Harbor, this is what it would look like. Except this is directed by Moulin Rouge's Baz Luhrmann, stars Hugh Jackman and Nicole Kidman, and will surely be nominated for several Oscars, whereas the Lifetime version would be called Danielle Steel's Down Under, and would be watched by only sad housewives. It looks pretty good if you're into that whole sweeping, epic romance sort of thing (no one is judging you):
