Hugh Jackman: The latest issue of Empire Magazine features a new look at X-Men Origins: Wolverine and as such the Marvel character is on the cover. Hugh Jackman reprises his role as Wolvey and the flick also stars Liev Schreiber, Ryan Reynolds, Taylor Kitsch, Will.i.am, Danny Huston, Dominic Monaghan, Daniel Henney and Lynn Collins. The May 2009 release tells the story of Wolverine’s epically violent and romantic past, his complex relationship with Victor Creed, and the ominous Weapon X program. Along the way, Wolverine encounters many mutants, both familiar and new, including surprise appearances by several legends of the X-Men universe. Check out the cover below and head here to read Empire's report from the set.

Hugh Jackman as ā€˜Wolverine’ on Empire Cover
Along with gracing the cover with claws and mutton chops, Jackman gives some insight as to what fans can expect from theĀ X-MenĀ prequel:Ā “There’s a scene in the first X-Men movie, where Wolverine’s introduced in a bar, fighting in a cage, and you felt that he did this every night of his life. If this movie is successful, you should feel that this guy can walk straight off the end of this film and into that bar.ā€Ā  Jackman isn’t the only one talking for the cover article. The magazine

Wolverine Empire Cover
On the front of January's Empire magazine cover we have a familiar face, in a familiar pose, wearing familiar clothes. Yep...it's Wolverine. Ideally we'd get a few shots of Liev Schreiber's Sabretooth or our first real look at Taylor Kitsch's Gambit, however it seems like we'll have to wait for the good stuff while they give us some new but not entirely unique shots of Wolverine… Continue reading Wolverine Empire Cover...

Producer talks Wolverine Origin film
X Men Origins: Wolverine will be released in May next year, and new has been a little thin on the ground. Now one of the producers has been talking about what we can expect. Lauren Shuler Donner pretty much sums it up in three words, and repeats them a lot. For the uninitiated, X Men Origins: Wolverine, stars Hugh Jackman reprising his role as Wolverine from the X Men films. What can we expect from a film telling the back story of the mysterious Wolverine? Lauren Shuler Don

Wolverine Will Slay the Definition of Badass, Says Producer
It has been a little while since we've talked about X-Men Origins: Wolverine. In fact, not much has been said since Hugh Jackman showed up at Comic-Con and knocked 6,000 people out of their seats with an explosive surprise clip. In fact, it actually seems a bit odd that we ...

Hugh Jackman Talks Australia and Wolverine
As a matter of fact, I did get a copy. Fox was handing them out like door prizes at the press day for director Baz Luhrmann's long-awaited follow-up to Moulin Rouge, Australia, which co-stars Jackman and Nicole Kidman as well as a whole host of legendary Aussie actors. The tonally uneven, at times over-indulgent, always-lush love song to the titular country's spirit, national identity, and infamous outback will almost certainly divide audiences as surely as it's received pretty universal condemnation from c

Time to Hype up Wolverine and Deadpool in X-Men Origins Flick
Not by me of course. Producer Laurewn Shuler of X-Men Origins: Wolverine recently spoke with comingsoon.net about the film, in process sheĀ tries to tease the fans about Wolverine and Deadpool. I’m not falling for it because I know the truth! Here is what she had to say: May 1st, 2009! I guess it’s closer to the first “X-Men” in tone because it’s a little darker, but there’s a lot of action. It’s his origin story. It’s really good. I’ve been in the edit

Empire’s New Cover Will Tear Your Damn Head Off
"I'm going to tear your goddamn head off." That is how the several minute clip ended at Comic-Con, Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) making a friendly gesture of war to his arch nemesis Sabretooth (Liev Schreiber). The film is X-Men Origins: Wolverine, from director Gavin Hood, and it is the cover story ...

'Friday Night Lights' Star Lands 'Wolverine' Role
The cast of 20th Century Fox's superhero drama "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" has expanded to include Taylor Kitsch, will.i.am and Ryan Reynolds. Also joining the Marvel adaptation are Danny Huston, Lynn Collins and the previously reported Liev Schreiber. Gavin Hood ("Rendition") is directing Hugh Jackman in the project, which looks at the early days of the surly, fast-healing, claw-sporting mutant. Production is already underway with a May 1, 2009 release date in the cards.

Taylor Kitsch on Playing Gambit Alongside Hugh Jackman's Wolverine
Taylor Kitsch, of "Friday Night Lights" will be making the jump to the silver screen playing Gambit in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Here is a short interview he gave where he discussed what it's like to be a mutant, and learn at the feet of Hugh Jackman... Lynn Collins On Being The Silver Fox To Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine In ā€˜X-Men: Origins’
Actress Lynn Collins recently told MTV News that playing Marvel mutant Silver Fox in the upcoming “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” not only allowed her to embrace her Native American roots, but also brought her very close to star Hugh Jackman. “We’re lovers,” said Collins of her character’s relationship to Wolverine. In Marvel Comics history, Silver Fox was a former love of Wolverine, and the pair lived together in the Canadian wilderness during the late-1900s before a series

Photos from Wolverine Set Emerge
Take a look at High Jackman's mutant character in Army fatigues. A Flickr.com user has posted some recent pictures from the set of the new X-Men spin-off, X-Men Origins: Wolverine. They are currently filming in Blacksmiths Beach, Australia. The film stars Jackman, Liev Schrieber, Danny Huston, Ryan Reynolds and Dominic Monaghan. The film is set to be released on May 1, 2009.

New 'Australia' Trailer: A Romantic Adventure with Wolverine and The Others
If Crocodile Dundee II were a big-budget Lifetime Original Movie based loosely on Pearl Harbor, this is what it would look like. Except this is directed by Moulin Rouge's Baz Luhrmann, stars Hugh Jackman and Nicole Kidman, and will surely be nominated for several Oscars, whereas the Lifetime version would be called Danielle Steel's Down Under, and would be watched by only sad housewives. It looks pretty good if you're into that whole sweeping, epic romance sort of thing (no one is judging you): Co

Producer Lauren Shuler Donner Hypes ā€˜Wolverine’ And ā€˜Deadpool’
Much like his hyper-mysterious origin in the comics, news about 2009’s “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” has remained shrouded in secrecy. With the exception of co-star Lynn Collins explaining her character’s (The Silver Fox) love affair with the X-Men’s resident berzerker, and rumors regarding onset turmoil, details about “Wolverine” have been few and far between. Fortunately, the fine folks at ComingSoon.net have got your hook-up. Catching up with “Wolverine”

Theories About Bloggers [Kevin Roberts]

Looking Fine As Hell Like Always
Hugh Jackman looks smokin’ hot during a photo shoot on Friday morning in Sydney, Australia. The Aussie actor, who turns 40 next Sunday, had the two favorite females in his life visit him on set–his wife Deborra-Lee Furness and their 3-year-old daughter Ava Eliot. Next month, Hugh will be ramping up his press coverage. His upcoming movie, Australia, opens in theaters everywhere on Friday, November 26! Australia Trailer
Hugh Jackman & Nicole Kidman in Farmhand Epic! Gayer than Gay Part II / Dustin Rowles

Trailer Cache: Australia
The new trailer for Baz Luhrmann's AustrailiaĀ  has us a little dumbfounded. The film, Mr. Luhrmann's first since striking the fancy of Oscar voters seven years ago with his multiple nominated revisionist musical Moulin Rouge!, features so many references to other movies that it's actually hard to keep up. Mostly Australia culls from African Queen; Hugh Jackman actually appears to be wearing Humprhey Bogart's wardrobe from the John Huston film, while Nicole Kidman seems to be reading Katherine Hepburn's di

THE FILM STRIP: Hugh Jackman on racism in 'Australia' and missing Halle Berry.
*In the film "Australia" Hugh Jackman is Drover, the clever cattleman, who is transformed by his caring for the orphan Nullah (Brandon Walters). The film not only mirrors events in Jackman's real life but some of the racist practices perpetuated against blacks in the United States.
