Heath Ledger's family is \"overjoyed\" by his Golden Globe win...
I watched Maggie Gyllenhaal being interviewed on the red carpet before the Golden Globes began on Sunday and when she was asked about her "The Dark Knight" co-star Heath Ledger, she talked about his wonderful performance as The Joker in the film then added thatit was all just "so sad."
That bittersweet feeling continued a short time later when Ledger's name was announced as the winner of the best supporting actor prize. He's now the Oscar front-runner and it is damned sad that he is not alive to be able to
Aaron Eckhart's Batman return?
The actor - who played District Attorney Harvey Dent and later the villainous Two-Face in 'The Dark Knight' - suggested the audience may have been deceived by the apparent demise of his character.
He said: "I think Harvey - if he's not dead - is in a serious coma, and I'm not sure he's coming out. They might pull the plug on him."
At the end of 'The Dark Knight', Batman pushes Two-Face off a building and leaves him lying on the ground.
Aaron also hinted that director Christopher Nolan
'Slumdog Millionaire' is the top dog
The movie about an underdog wins four awards, including best dramatic picture. A tribute to the late Heath Ledger balances the ceremony.
In a ceremony alternatively as solemn and celebratory as the movie that won a leading four prizes -- the rags-to-riches drama "Slumdog Millionaire" -- Sunday night's Golden Globe Awards helped focus the Oscar race as it honored the late Heath Ledger for his performance in " The Dark Knight."
Will The Joker and Two-Face be in 'Batman 3'?
That's a darn good question, right? Whatever will happen in the end, we've been hearing plenty of rumors about the sequel to "The Dark Knight" for months now, and as you all know, rumors are rumors and they certainly shouldn't be taken seriously until we hear it officially from the filmmakers themselves.
Anyway, as far as the Two-Face thing is concerned, it's not exactly a rumor.
MTV
briefly caught up with Aaron Eckhart at the Golden Globes Sunday and asked the actor whether Harvey Dent may
Aaron Eckhart: ‘Two-Face character will not return to Batman’
Rumours that the Two-Face character from the Batman movie ‘Dark Knight’ will be resurrected, have been put to rest by American actor Aaron Eckhart, who played the role.
The mutilated villain appears to fall to his death at the end of the movie, and there were talks about his coming back to life in the next Batman.
But Eckhart has confirmed that the character is dead, and that director Chris Nolan has no intentions of bringing him back.
“It would be easier than anything to bring him bac
‘The Dark Knight’ Star Aaron Eckhart Hints At Possible Return Of Two-Face
FROM SPLASHPAGE: In the past, Aaron Eckhart has had no problems stating matter-of-factly that Two-Face was done for, telling SuperHeroHype back in September that his character was as “dead as a doornail.” Well…maybe not that dead.
When MTV News caught up with “The Dark Knight” star on the Golden Globes red carpet, he was considerably less [...]
B.O. Update: 'Lakeview Terrace' Wins Friday with $13.5M
Samuel L. Jackson’s “scare tactics” in Lakeview Terrace (Sony) have put this Neil LaBute-directed thriller at the top of the box office heap for the three-day weekend. The racially-charged, crooked-cop yarn sold an estimated $4.7M in tickets on Friday, and it should finish the weekend with $13.5M or so.
For Jackson, Lakeview Terrace doesn’t even crack his top 15 openings, settling for a number on par with 2006’s Snakes on a Plane ($13.8M), but it is easily LaBute’s all-time biggest o
Is it possible that TWO-FACE could make a comeback in Batman 3?
The speculation about a third Bat-flick is rife once more as Aaron Eckhart (otherwise known as Two-Face) has reignited the discussion due to a comment made by him at this year's Golden Globe Awards.True, Eckhart dismissed Two-Face's return back in September when he confirmed that the character had died in The Dark Knight. But as Comic Book writer Brian Azzarello once joked - “When Heath Ledger died, Harvey Dent came back to life.” And he could possibly be right.Don't take Eckhart's words as gospel, and
In 'Lakeview Terrace,' LaBute adds to 'gallery of rogues'
In many of his scripts and stage plays, Neil LaBute has written about men being men - sometimes reprehensibly so, as with Chad, the cold-blooded lothario (played by Aaron Eckhart) in "In the Company of Men," or Cary, the womanizing painter (played by Jason Patric) in "Your Friends and Neighbors."
So when LaBute was approached to direct "Lakeview Terrace," a mainstream Hollywood thriller about the rising tensions between a black cop and the young interracial couple who moves into his Sout

Dark Knight's Two-Face May Not Be Dead
one of the big questions on nearly everyone’s mind was whether or not Two-Face was really and truly dead. It was a few weeks after the film’s debut that Aaron Eckhart, the actor behind Harvey’s missing face answers the question definitively, telling us all that the character was “dead as a doornail.” Now though, with rumors indicating that Chris Nolan has finally started work on the story for a sequel, Eckhart seems to be backpedaling a little.

'The Unborn'
David Goyer's horror film with Odette Yustman and Gary Oldman nods to 'The Exorcist' but proves long-winded despite its brief running time.
