‘Australia’ Delayed
The film was originally set for release on November 14th, but now they’re moving it to November 26th, five days after Harry Potter would have debuted on the 21st, had it not been moved. Without the Potter juggernaut to steal your cash, Australia doesn’t have to worry about trying to get its share before Potter hits theaters. It’ll be easier fending off Bolt and Twilight, which are now opening on the 21st instead.
Makes sense, Potter is such a huge movie, all the others need to scoop up the
"Australia" to Top "Titanic"?
Marcos Oliveira, head of 20th Century Fox in Australia, told the Sydney Morning Herald that he believes the upcoming Australia, starring Hugh Jackman and Nicole Kidman and directed by Baz Luhrmann will become “the biggest [film] of all time” in that country.
That’s saying a lot, since Titanic came out of that studio, as well.
Further fueling my interest in this film is Jackman’s comment at the Australian International Movie Convention. He called his part in the film “the rol

Deception (2008) Movie Review
Had a chance to checkout Deception which is coming to DVD at the end of the month. The film stars Hugh Jackman who is one of my favorite 'newish' leading men in film. The plot of this crime thriller goes like so;
An accountant (McGregor) is introduced to a mysterious sex club known as The List by his lawyer friend (Jackman). But in this new world, he soon becomes the prime suspect in a woman's disappearance and a multi-million dollar heist.
The story behind Deception is a good one and definitely origin
FOX has no Mojo and still plans to bring us more X-Men, Deadpool, and Daredevil
Twentieth Century Fox has not been doing to well lately. The summer movies did horrible at the box office! Maybe because they all sucked ass. Lets take a look at the movies that they released this summer.
‘The Happening’, ‘Space Chimps’, ‘Mirrors’, ‘Babylon A.D.’, ‘The Rocker’, ‘X-Files’, and ‘Vegas’.
I myself only saw three out of these 5 films. ‘The Happening’ which I can’t believe Fox did. I want to know who at the studio read the sc
Steamy New Photo From Baz Luhrmann's 'Australia'
''It's romantic, adventurous, and huge in scale,'' says Hugh Jackman of Baz Luhrmann's WWII-era epic Australia (out Nov. 14). Jackman stars as a rough-hewn Aussie cowboy who falls for a prim Englishwoman (Nicole Kidman) while helping her reclaim her dead husband's cattle farm.

Director and Studio Battling Over X-Men Origins: Wolverine?
These power struggles just never end in Hollywood. We finally are hearing a solid report from Jeffrey Wells at Hollywood Elsewhere that there is some sort of power struggle going on with X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Apparently we've got another case of a studio exec, Fox's Tom Rothman, trying to change a character to fit the widest possible audience when the director, Gavin Hood, who knows what he's doing, has been shooting something they don't like.
I also remember writing numerous articles, like this one
Fox Moves Australia Release Back
Variety says that Fox has decided to move Baz Luhrmann's Australia , starring Hugh Jackman and Nicole Kidman, away from the recently moved Quantum of Solace . The studio will go out with the pic in North America on November 26 instead of the previously planned November 14.
Hollywood’s Most Overpaid Movie Stars
One of the most anticipated movies of the upcoming fall season is “Australia,” Baz Luhrmann’s epic mash note to his home country, which stars Hugh Jackman and Nicole Kidman as Outback lovers.
Kidman, more than anyone, is likely hoping it’s a hit. Despite winning an Oscar for her performance in 2002’s “The Hours,” Kidman has become the most overpaid celebrity in Hollywood.
Forbes looked at each star’s last three films that opened wide before Jan. 1 (in order
Fox moves 'Australia' release back
Fox is shifting its big-ticket Outback romance “Australia” to Nov. 26.
Pic was slated for Stateside release on Nov. 14, about 48 hours after its Nov. 13 world preem Down Under, but now the Oz date will also shift to tally with the U.S.
Warner Bros. recently moved its next “Harry Potter” movie from Nov. 21 to next summer.
Saga of an English woman (Nicole Kidman) who comes to remote Australia and falls for a rugged cattle driver (Hugh Jackman) is set against the backdrop of WWII.

Keith Urban- Makes Staying At Home Chic
Keith Urban is just another regular dad. He loves his role as full-time dad Sunday Rose while his wife, Nicole Kidman, is filming. He said, "When my wife's working and I've got time off, I'm just Mr. Mom during the day, taking care of the little girl". Ah, how sweet. Stay/Work-at-home dads are so chic right now. The family was in Australia recently and now is in London while mommy Nicole is rehearsing for the movie/musical "Nine". That's a nice place to s

Can Superheroes Save 20th Century Fox From Itself?
Fox has not had a good year -- and as with most drama-filled issues, they really have only themselves to blame. Variety points out that they were the only studio this summer that didn't have a $100 million domestic earner. What they did have was a lot of widely-derided flops like The Happening, Space Chimps, and Meet Dave. They also had films that might have done well, had they chosen to actually sell them, like The X-Files: I Want to Believe. They were also dealt a bit of bad luck when it came to X-Men Or

Lynn Collins On Being The Silver Fox To Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine In ‘X-Men: Origins’
Actress Lynn Collins recently told MTV News that playing Marvel mutant Silver Fox in the upcoming “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” not only allowed her to embrace her Native American roots, but also brought her very close to star Hugh Jackman.
“We’re lovers,” said Collins of her character’s relationship to Wolverine.
In Marvel Comics history, Silver Fox was a former love of Wolverine, and the pair lived together in the Canadian wilderness during the late-1900s before a series
Can ‘Australia’ Finally Convince Audiences That Hugh Jackman Isn’t Gay?
20th Century Fox sure hopes so! In a story in yesterday's Times, overcompensating executives at the studio hilariously describe Viva Laughlin–toplining, three-time Tony Awards host Hugh Jackman as "rough-hewn" and a "young Clint Eastwood." "There are not many actors who have an ability to pick up a Nicole Kidman, throw her on the bed and ravish her with believability," says Australia director Baz Luhrmann. Additionally: "He is also excellent with a cattle whip."

Is Hollywood Lacking In "Manly" Men? [Gender Benders]
Are there any tough guys left in America? Over on Entertainment Weekly's PopWatch Blog, Mandi Bierly links to a piece in Variety written by Anne Thompson, in which Thompson asks, "Where have the manly movie stars gone?" She claims the Hollywood machine has churned out nothing but boy-men. Johnny Depp? "Fey." Brendan Fraser? "Goofy." Keanu Reeves and Tom Cruise? Just not macho enough! When a studio wants a real manly type, they turn to the UK, Australia or Europe: Christian Bale, Gerard Butler, Hugh Jackman
Nicole Kidman says filming ‘Australia’ is a dream come true
The ‘The Others’ actress has described the flick, directed by Baz Luhrmann, based on her native country Australia as ‘the last of a dying breed’. “They don’t build stuff like this any more,” The Age quoted Kidman, as telling The Sunday Times newspaper in Britain.
“To feel that air and see people ravaged by the elements, as hard as it is, it’s exquisite,” she added.
Kidman, who is acting alongside Hugh Jackman in the film, plays Lady Sarah Ashley,

Who Will Be Cast In The New Ghostbusters Movie?
Well, it's official: Production has begun on a Ghostbusters Threequel, precise title as yet unknown. Columbia pictures has put Office Co-Executive Producers Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky to the task of writing the latest installment, almost 25 years after the original hit the theaters. Which leads one to wonder: Who, prey tell, will be chosen to play our beloved Ghostbusters and company?
So without further ado, in the order they are listed on IMDB, here are BWE's Ghostbuster 3 Casting Predicitions:
Week in Review: And Kanye Blogged On
It's been an exciting week, and we have only Kanye West to thank for it. The popular blogger-musician debuted an awesome new single, announced a new album, got arrested for smashing cameras, and still managed to keep his Website updated with the typical trenchant cultural commentary ("Is it me or is INTERVIEW mag the shit now!!! I enjoyed this issues on the plane the other day!"). But what else happened this week?
• Hugh Jackman went over the rainbow.
• We ranked the Coens' idiot comedies.
