Rumor has it that there is friction between Fox CEO Tom Rothman and director Gavin Hood.
Fox killing another Superhero?
Fox don't have a great reputation of letting their talent develop their projects, and it looks like Wolverine is the next to be suffering from their interfering executives with an eye to produce a teenage friendly film.
Word is that the director, Gavin Hood, who is trying to make a darker Wolverine film in keeping with the original story, was almost fired by Fox, probably because he stood his ground and wouldn't turn it into a kiddie film.

Get ready to see Michael Douglas as you’ve never seen him before. The 63-year-old husband of Oscar-winning actress Catherine Zeta-Jones is about to camp it up in a new biopic based on the life of Liberace.
The flamboyant Las Vegas pianist and television mainstay died of complications from AIDS in 1987.
Director Scott Soderbergh, who previously worked with Douglas in the 2001 film Traffic, will get behind the camera for the biopic.

Fresh off the news that Steven Soderbergh's Che has been picked up by IFC Films, now there's word that the director's developing a film based on the last years of singer Liberace. Michael Douglas will star as the flamboyant singer, while Matt Damon is in talks for the role of Liberace's supposed companion of five years. Of course, being so prolific, Mr. Soderbergh still has a few films lined up before he can even get to this, so expect to see Liberace sparkling into theaters sometime in 2010.

Michael Douglas is set to play flamboyant entertainer Liberace in a new movie, Variety reports.
Michael Douglas as Liberace?
Michael Douglas looks set to play the flamboyant pianist Liberace in a biographical film about the man's life which will be directed by Steven Soderbergh. However the plans aren't to make it any time soon, and Douglas isn't getting any younger.
Interestingly another Soderbergh regular may be set to take up a major role in the film, and the reveal of the character does suggest which part of Liberace's life the film will focus on. Matt Damon looks set to take the role of Scott Thorson.
