'Surfer, Dude' Matthew McConaughey Does Diaper Duty
Matthew McConaughey is all smiles at the premiere of his new movie Surfer, Dude. No, it's not an autobiographical tale of Matthew's shirtless life, but I'd be willing to bet there's a lot of art imitating life taking place.
Anyways, the movie will probably serve as an education aid for Matthew who enjoys teaching his newborn son how to surf. McConaughey also told Jay Leno recently that even though he enjoys a solo surf expedition now and again, he doesn't mind diaper duty--with certain exceptions.

Liveblogging Barack Obama And John McCain’s 9/11 Forum Makeup Sex
All of the week’s partisan bickering and lipstick-related nastiness can’t change the fact that both Barack Obama and John McCain want what’s best for this country, except for Barack Obama. Now we will liveblog the endless string of platitudes and remonstrances to “never forget” that are required of any politician commemorating the day when Rudy Giuliani failed to protect his city from two commercial airliners. CNN informs us that the candidates will not speak together at tonigh

On the Net: Celebrities blog about the election
The heiress' entry into politics with a memorable Web video for FunnyOrDie.com earlier this summer may have been purely for laughs, but she's just one of many entertainers using the Internet to express views on the upcoming election.
Politics and celebrity have always been somewhat awkward bedfellowssome fans resent their favorite movie star using their fame to political ends, while most politicians welcome the glitz (and money) that can come from having a celeb in their corner.
Here are a handful
Sarah Palin On Possible War With Russia: “Perhaps”
Excerpts have leaked from Charlie Gibson’s first of three interviews with Sarah Palin, which will be aired in some form tonight on his ABC News show. We were expecting a puffy sort of chit-chat, and it mostly is, except for the part where they talk about WAR WITH FREAKING RUSSIA. Now, when you run around saying Georgia and Ukraine should be let into NATO — as both John McCain and Barack Obama do — as some reward for establishing a vaguely democratic government, that’s much more than
Bill Clinton: Obama wins 'pretty handily'
John McCain and Barack Obama may be coming together today for a rare and silent joint observation of what they share in common - a show of reverence for all those who lost their lives in the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11 - but they made their way to Ground Zero with some high-profile appearances of their own.
Obama made a house call on Former President Bill Clinton at his offices in Harlem, where the two had lunch.
"I predict that Sen. Obama will win and win pretty handily,'' Clinton said.
The former

Katie Couric's 'Lipstick' rescue: CBS
CBS News has rescued evening anchor Katie Couric from a Web-ad that attempted to parlay Couric's words on "sexism'' in the Republican Party's dispute with Barack Obama over "lipstick on a pig.''
The network demanded that YouTube pull the ad that the Republican Party had rolled out in response to Obama's remark about the McCain campaign's claims that it offers the real promise of change: "John McCain says he's about change, too, and so I guess his whole angle is, 'Watch out George Bush.' Except for econom
McCain, Obama Appear Together for Ground Zero Visit
John McCain and Barack Obama made their first official appearance together as their parties' presidential nominees today during a visit to the World Trade Center site. McCain's wife Cindy and Mayor Bloomberg also accompanied the candidates down the ramp to the "pit." (Michelle Obama is in Chicago with the daughters.)
The NY Times reports "they walked shoulder-to-shoulder down a long ramp toward the site, occasionally chatting along the way." After paying their respects by the reflecting pools, laying flo

Palin says she’s ready for high office
AP - Sarah Palin proposed NATO membership for Georgia and Ukraine, at risk of putting the U.S. in conflict with Russia, and declared her readiness for high office Thursday as she took a cautious step out of the protective bubble she’s been in since joining John McCain’s ticket.
"You can’t blink," said the first-term Alaska governor, asserting in an ABC News interview that she is prepared to be vice president and take on the weight of the presidency should it ever come to that.
It was her
Sarah Palin is the Lipstick: Obama on Letterman
Straight from the horse's mouth, which is Obama, we have the truth on Lipstickgate 2008! The failed policies are the pig and Sarah Palin is the lipstick. Oh, got it.Also, in When Harry Met Sally, Sally is the dog in the scenerio. Wow, it's like a zoo in here. A small, stinky petting zoo, but a zoo nonetheless. Here's a video(s) of Barack Obama and David Letterman chatting about pigs and politics: Related: Ferguson is a Good AmericanPhoto
Tobey Maguire To Give Big 9/11 Speech!
Tonight at 7:40 p.m., according to secret CNN documents obtained by Cryptome, Spider-Man star Tobey Maguire is going to give a 9/11 speech, right after New York governor David Paterson and before "two 9-11 family testimonials." We do not know why or how Spider-Man is going to save our city from the menace of the anniversary of 9/11 but we are still excited. Also apparently John McCain and Barack Obama are going to be there. Maybe one of them will pick Tobey to be their vice presidential candidate!

Matthew McConaughey May Expose More Than Just His Chest in 'Surfer, Dude' [Body Boarding]
Eternally shirtless actor Matthew McConaughey has never been afraid of showing a little skin, but the lengths he goes to in his new film may make even his hard-to-shock mother blush. According to a review in San Diego City Beat, McConaughey's new stoner opus Surfer, Dude (opening in select locations this Friday? Who knew!) reveals more of the actor than most non-Apatow male stars are used to baring:
There’s no shortage of bare breasts, and McConaughey takes a potshot at himself with a naked did
