W.: Trailer
Whether you love him or hate him, there is no question that George W. Bush is one of the most controversial public figures in recent memory. In an unprecedented undertaking, acclaimed director Oliver Stone is bringing the life of our 43rd President to the big screen as only he can. W. takes viewers through Bush's eventful life -- his struggles and triumphs, how he found both his wife and his faith, and of course the critical days leading up to Bush's decision to invade Iraq.

A TV Spot is now online for Oliver Stone’s new film W. starring Josh Brolin, James Cromwell, Ellen Burstyn, Elizabeth Banks, and Thandie Newton.

It will be interesting to see how both sides of the aisle react to this movie. If it’s seriously damaging to the President’s reputation (which is how the clips look), I can only imagine that the Republicans will be crying and the Democrats will be cheering. And vice versa.
And I just have to say how much I love this poster.
The Oliver Stone-directed biopic stars Josh Brolin as George W. Bush, Elizabeth Banks as Laura Bush, James Cromwell as George Herbert Walker Bush, Ellen Burstyn as Barbar
'W' Trailer Makes Commentary on Bush's Funny Face and Post-Punk Policies
Alright, Oliver Stone, if you want to make your W trailer into an abbreviated Talking Heads video, that's fine, but at least make Josh Brolin do the appropriate dance moves for it. As it stands, he's just doing a lot of funny faces and spitting pretzel out of his mouth, which doesn't make for that entertaining of a movie. Still though: take that, Bush!

Will W. Be The Funniest Movie Of The Season?
Even after the first W. trailer was released this summer, we weren't sure what to expect from Oliver Stone's film. Well, that's not exactly true. We expected that it would be totally bananas, but we didn't know how far it would take things and whether it would be any good.
From the looks of it, W. goes further than our imaginations even figured. One of our favorite movie blogs, In Contention, posted a new television spot (and linked to another over at Huffington Post) and well, consider us incredib
Election season: Three political movies for fall
It’s hard to say whether Hollywood has Election Fever, or why symptoms of that fever would show up, all at once, just before a showing of Burn After Reading—in which the U.S. government is like somebody’s exasperated dad, at best—but there’s a definite theme to the theatrical fare this fall. Come October, the roster is packed with political movies, from pomp-and-circumstance dramas to smaller, more character-driven stories. Here are a few slated for release before Christmas:

Elizabeth Banks as Laura Bush and a porn star, unfortunately not as one character
TORONTO, Ontario (AP) -- Elizabeth Banks has what it takes to be a porn star or first lady. And she'll be strutting her stuff as both on the big-screen within a two-week span.
On October 17, Banks' take on Laura Bush arrives with "W.," Oliver Stone's film biography of President Bush, played by Josh Brolin. On October 31, Banks co-stars with Seth Rogen in "Zack and Miri Make a Porno," Kevin Smith's comedy about two best pals and platonic roommates who shoot their own skin flick to cover their mounting debts
New trailer for Oliver Stone’s ‘W’ …
Whatever your opinion of President Bush, or of Oliver Stone for that matter, this movie actually looks funny… if not sort of sad. It goes without saying that the film will be heavily biased, politically speaking, but all that aside… I can’t help but find myself a little intrigued having seen three distinctly different trailers for the film, leading me to actually look forward [out of curiosity] to an Oliver Stone film. This is an anomaly, trust me. I do not like Oliver Stone.

‘W.’ Trailer: Oliver Stone’s Bush Movie Still Looking Hilarious
Tagline: Based on a true story.Translation: Yep, they include the part with the pretzel. The Verdict: The new, second trailer for Oliver Stone's Bush biopic, W., has a lot going for it — the (obvious-in-retrospect) choice of the Talking Heads' "Once in a Lifetime" for the soundtrack, Josh Brolin's hilarious, spot-on Bush impersonation, and Elizabeth Banks playing a mean Laura, straight man to George. This clip may be slightly less madcap than the first one, but its jokes are better. We bet this is goin

What? Two PrivacyWatches in one week? That's your reward — all of our reward, really — for all of your attentive spying, neck-craning and blabber-mouthiness in recent days. And while we regret we have no epic Kim Kardashian traffic mishaps to report (and eventually debate), we can vouch for primo sightings of a single Ryan Gosling, the renowned pool shark Kevin Federline and a symbolic meeting of A-list and Z-list at one of the city's most glamorous steakeries. New Images of W.
USA TODAY has a batch of New Images from the biopic movie W. about the rise of our current president George Dubya Bush played by Josh Brolin. Some of the are behind-the-scenes photo of Oliver Stone directing his actors. The article also has the description of the beginning scene from the movie and yes, the movie is a comedy/satire. That explains the first TV Spot and the second TV spot. Maybe Stone wasn’t aiming for a fair portrayal after all.

Thandie Newton: 'Madonna Is A Gifted Actress'
Thandie Newton has defended MADONNA's ill-received movie career - insisting the pop superstar is a talented actress.
The Crash star says many critics underestimate Madonna's acting skills - and that she will be remembered as a talented thespian.
The Holiday hitmaker won critical acclaim for 1985's Desperately Seeking Susan and in 1997 landed a Golden Globe award for her role in Evita. But her acting career has also been plagued with a string of box office flops including 2002's Swept Away.

Thandie Newton's Teenage Lesbianism In No Way Helped Her Play Condoleezza Rice [Method Acting]
As rumors circulate that Condoleezza Rice was passed up for John McCain's vice presidential slot due to questions about her sexuality, her film portrayer Thandie Newton sat down for an interview with gay magazine The Advocate. The actress, who is playing Rice in Oliver Stone's election-tipping presidential fantasia W., said that she herself doesn't believe Rice is a lesbian — and it's too bad, because Newton has the same-sex experience that could have informed such a role:

Holy Madonna!
Just like a prayer, Little Miss Kabbala Madonna took a trip to Rome and went to the Basilica di Santa Croce in Gerusalemme. She took along Lourdes and Rocco, flying in from Germany.
It's tradition for women to wear a head convering in the Botanical Gardens and the Basilica, but when has Madonna ever vied for tradition? She was given a guided tour of all the artifacts and paintings. Maybe she's working on a sequel to "Like a Virgin."

Thandie Newton Says Madonna is a Gifted Actress
Wow, a story that has nothing to do with a plane crash!
Thandie Newton, 35-year-old mother of two and star of the movie "Crash" and TV series "ER," says that Madonna is a talented actress. That's not a typo.
Newton says, "Actually, I think Madonna is a great actress and it's only in years to come will people see that. But for me, she is truly gifted."
In other news, Thandie Newton has just been declared officially retarded.
