Bruce McGill: Whether you love him or hate him, there is no question that George W. Bush is one of the most controversial public figures in recent memory. In an unprecedented undertaking, acclaimed director Oliver Stone is bringing the life of our 43rd President to the big screen as only he can. W. takes viewers through Bush's eventful life -- his struggles and triumphs, how he found both his wife and his faith, and of course the critical days leading up to Bush's decision to invade Iraq.

"W." TV Spot
It will be interesting to see how both sides of the aisle react to this movie. If it’s seriously damaging to the President’s reputation (which is how the clips look), I can only imagine that the Republicans will be crying and the Democrats will be cheering. And vice versa. And I just have to say how much I love this poster. The Oliver Stone-directed biopic stars Josh Brolin as George W. Bush, Elizabeth Banks as Laura Bush, James Cromwell as George Herbert Walker Bush, Ellen Burstyn as Barbar

'W' Trailer Makes Commentary on Bush's Funny Face and Post-Punk Policies
Alright, Oliver Stone, if you want to make your W trailer into an abbreviated Talking Heads video, that's fine, but at least make Josh Brolin do the appropriate dance moves for it. As it stands, he's just doing a lot of funny faces and spitting pretzel out of his mouth, which doesn't make for that entertaining of a movie. Still though: take that, Bush! New trailer for Oliver Stone’s ‘W’ …
Whatever your opinion of President Bush, or of Oliver Stone for that matter, this movie actually looks funny… if not sort of sad. It goes without saying that the film will be heavily biased, politically speaking, but all that aside… I can’t help but find myself a little intrigued having seen three distinctly different trailers for the film, leading me to actually look forward [out of curiosity] to an Oliver Stone film. This is an anomaly, trust me. I do not like Oliver Stone. Here a link

'W.' trailer: Can his expose of George W. Bush get Oliver Stone back in the Oscars derby?
Oliver Stone's newest film, "W.," about the life of the current U.S. commander in chief could well put the three-time Oscar winner back in the derby. As you will see from the trailer, Josh Brolin eerily embodies George W. Bush, just as his father, James, bore a strong resemblance to President Ronald Reagan when he portrayed him in a 2003 TV miniseries. Oscar winners Richard Dreyfuss as Vice President Dick Cheney and Ellen Burstyn as Barbara Bush lend support as do Oscar nominee James Cromwell as Preside

Will W. Be The Funniest Movie Of The Season?
Even after the first W. trailer was released this summer, we weren't sure what to expect from Oliver Stone's film. Well, that's not exactly true. We expected that it would be totally bananas, but we didn't know how far it would take things and whether it would be any good.   From the looks of it, W. goes further than our imaginations even figured. One of our favorite movie blogs, In Contention, posted a new television spot (and linked to another over at Huffington Post) and well, consider us incredib

EXCLUSIVE: ‘W.’ Photo Reveals Bush’s Wild Side
By and large I love me some Oliver Stone. I will defend just about all of his work except for “Alexander”. But even I am not sure what to make of his take on the life and times of George W. Bush. “W.” opens in just over a month and each glimpse me leaves me simultaneously intrigued and skeptical. Will Oliver pull off something special? Your guess is as good as mine. In the meantime, here’s an exclusive image.

New Images of W.
USA TODAY has a batch of New Images from the biopic movie W. about the rise of our current president George Dubya Bush played by Josh Brolin. Some of the are behind-the-scenes photo of Oliver Stone directing his actors. The article also has the description of the beginning scene from the movie and yes, the movie is a comedy/satire. That explains the first TV Spot and the second TV spot. Maybe Stone wasn’t aiming for a fair portrayal after all. * To view more photos of W., just click on the image belo

Brolin, fellow film figures arrested in bar brawl
Actor Josh Brolin, in Shreveport starring in director-producer Oliver Stone's "W.", was arrested early today during a bar fight at a downtown Shreveport nightspot. According to Shreveport Police patrol report, officers were called to the Stray Cat bar in the 200 block of Travis Street just after 2 a.m. to deal with a rowdy patron. As more officers arrived, several other patrons at the bar, including Brolin and fellow actor Jeffrey Wright, 42, tried to impede the officers, the report said. In all, the

Election season: Three political movies for fall
It’s hard to say whether Hollywood has Election Fever, or why symptoms of that fever would show up, all at once, just before a showing of Burn After Reading—in which the U.S. government is like somebody’s exasperated dad, at best—but there’s a definite theme to the theatrical fare this fall. Come October, the roster is packed with political movies, from pomp-and-circumstance dramas to smaller, more character-driven stories. Here are a few slated for release before Christmas: Milk:
