Andy Samberg: Ludacris and T-Pain shared musical guesting duties on last night’s episode of “Saturday Night Live.” Ludacris performed “One More Drink” with T-Pain and Luda returned the favor later in the show by performing “Chopped N Skrewed” with Pain (above). If that wasn’t enough, the two also participated in a comedy sketch with Andy Samberg and Kenan Thompson. T-Pain better watch out ’cause the Blizzard Man is coming for him. Watch below. “Blizzard Man” Sketch This entry was posted on Sunday, November 23rd, 2008 at 9:47 am and is filed under Live Performances, TV Appearances, T-Pain, Ludacris. Saturday Night Live: Weekend Update Thursday (October 23, 2008) - VIDEOS
Filed under: OpEd, Saturday Night Live, Episode Reviews, Reality-Free Well, that concludes Saturday Night Live's three week run of "Weekend Update Thursday." There were some good jokes here and there, including tonight's especially strong cold open, but looking back, we really could have done without these three episodes. Most of this material, election-related and otherwise, could have been bumped to the regular Saturday program without any problem. I'm sure we could come up with a list of sketches in the

Amy’s Poehler’s SNL Shout-Out
Amy Poehler gave birth to son Archie 2 week ago, and on the night she gave birth, Amy’s SNL co-stars saluted her - something she reportedly “really loved.” The cast inserted the words, “We love you, Amy!” into Frankie Valli’s classic Can’t Take My Eyes Off of You, and fellow cast member Kenan Thompson explained, “She texted us. She was watching with the baby in the bed. She said, ‘Aww, you made me cry! I’m with Archibald the baby and watching it.’” Dad is Amy’

SNL's Seth Meyers Answers To The Ladies Of The View [View Askew]
newVideoPlayer("/viewseth_jez_512K.flv", 475, 270,""); Seth Meyers, Weekend Update anchor and head writer for Saturday Night Live, was on The View this morning, which must have been a little nerve-wracking for him, since SNL did a View sketch this weekend, in which Kristen Wiig played a hysterically hysterical, "fact" finding Elisabeth Hasselbeck. Kenan Thompson played Whoopi, Fred Armisen nailed Joy Behar's wrist movements, and Casey Wilson played Jennifer Aniston, who was supposed to be sitting in for Sh

Saturday Night Live: Michael Phelps/Lil Wayne (season premiere) - VIDEOS
Filed under: OpEd, Saturday Night Live, Episode Reviews, Reality-Free(S34E01) Well, well, Saturday Night Live is back for another season and we couldn't be more excited. Actually, we probably could be more excited, but we're still tuning in and that's what matters. Personally, I believe they took a risk in inviting an athlete to open the season with a bang, as I often find their performances super-awkward and damn near unwatchable, but there are folks that go totally nuts when sports people host. Plus, Mic

SNL Update Thursday VIDEO!
VIDEO! Watch video of SNL Update Thursday with Amy, Seth and Fix it Part 2. SNL Update Thursday sketch features Seth Meyers, Amy Poehler and Kenan Thompson’s Fix it! In the sketch, Kenan Thompson plays an economist who deals with today’s problems with an interesting idea - just shouting “Fix it!” Initial reviews to tonight’s broadcast are very good. Washington Post Tom Shales says of tonight “Did the political jokes have a little less bite than usual? Maybe, possibly,

Saturday Night Live: Ben Affleck/David Cook - VIDEOS
Filed under: OpEd, Saturday Night Live, Episode Reviews, Reality-Free (S34E07) Although I have fond memories of Mango and Ben Who-fleck working Saturday Night Live together back in the day, I was pretty disappointed by this episode. I think someone told Ben Affleck that he's pretty all right on SNL and it got to his head, because he was trying way, way too hard. It was almost to the point where it was unbearably awkward. If not for Senator John McCain's appearances, this episode would have been wholly unrem

Are You There, Amy? Text ME!
Amy Poehler is, like, one of my very biggest girl crushes. And when she did that rap? On that pre-election SNL episode? Mocking Sarah Palin while Sarah Palin sat right there? WHILE SHE WAS LIKE ELEVENTEEN MONTHS PREGNANT? That made me love her even more. Now that the baby's here, she's no longer rappin' it up at SNL, but at least we can console ourselves with the knowledge that she's watching. And texting! Poehler's SNL costar Kenan Thompson told PEOPLE magazine that Poehler watches

SNL's Kenan Thompson: I Doubt Tina Fey Will Be Back as Sarah Palin
Now that the election is over, is Tina Fey done doing Sarah Palin? You betcha. Asked if she'll return as the Alaska Gov., SNL's Kenan Thompson tells Usmagazine.com, "I doubt it. She'll probably hang that up now. It's time to get back to 30 Rock because I'm sure she's busy enough with that." How is the SNL cast going to tackle post-election sketches? "We're going to go back to the groove that we were in before all the political stuff," he told Us Thursday at the opening party for Juicy Couture's

Amy Poehler Texts Pals at SNL from Bed
Now that Amy Poehler is a new mom – of son Archie Arnett, born Oct. 25 – the Saturday Night Live star has started viewing the NBC show differently. From home, that is. Poehler's SNL costar Kenan Thompson tells PEOPLE Poehler watched the show in bed with Archie (dad is comedian-actor Will Arnett). Poehler sent Thompson a special text message after she witnessed the cast's vocal tribute to her the day she gave birth, when they tweaked Frankie Valli's lyrics "I love you, baby" to "We love you, Amy.

JT As Beyonce’s Back Up Dancer On SNL
JT looked oh so fine in that slinky leotard and sexy black pumps shaking his booty as one of Beyonce’s back up dancers for her “Single Ladies” music video on Saturday Night Live last night. Andy Samberg and Bobby Moynihan shook what their mamas gave them right along with JT and the result was really quite funny. They had the moves down pat. First he did his infamous “**** in a box” routine, and now this little jewel makes things official - if his singing career ever fizzles, he can always

Ludacris And T-Pain Meet Blizzard Man
Ludacris and T-Pain participated in a skit on last night’s ‘Saturday Night Live’ with Luda replacing T-Pain at the Megahits Studio with Andy Samberg’s character, the Vanilla Ice influenced Blizzard Man. Ludacris loved Blizz’s cheesy raps, but T-Pain was horrified before Tim McGraw, who played Blizz’s record company boss, walked in to back his guy. Watch the comedy clip below. ‘SNL’: Paul Rudd’s Pixelated Crotch Takes on Prop 8
Not long ago, we (and lots of others) predicted that once the election was over — after Tina Fey and Will Ferrell stopped showing up, and following Amy Poehler's departure to have a kid — SNL would be a sad, unfunny, irrelevant mess. Happily, though, we were completely wrong (as usual!). Skit for skit, Saturday's episode might've just been the funniest of the season so far. In an apparent reaction to the passage of Prop 8, most of the night's sketches made punch lines out of intolerance of homos

SNL: The Blizz Takes On T-Pain [Clips]
Let's face it: last night's Saturday Night Live was pretty bad. Continuing the dark and creepy direction they took off in last week, the SNL crew took us through a weird skit sequence that involved a mentally ill woman putting super-glue on her teeth, fur-covered turkeys running for their lives, and the worst character the show has tried to push on us in a long time, Jeff Montgomery, sex offender/mental patient, showing up to ruin a family's thanksgiving and creep out the audience. Host Tim McGraw re

"Saturday Night Live" scores with swipe at Madonna and spoofs of James Bond, Arianna Huffington, Bill Clinton, automakers and "Dateline"
There is life after Sarah Palin and Tina Fey. "Saturday Night Live" is carrying on just fine after the election. This weekend's show was the most consistent since the season's start. Current events keep supplying choice material for satire. The show opened with a devastating spoof of Big Three automakers seeking help on Capitol Hill. The execs were unworried that C-SPAN was showing the hearing because no one watches that channel. (Fred Armisen was just wonderful as Rep. Barney Frank.) "Wee

Justin Timberlake Would Like To Serve Beyoncé Some "Mexican Breakfast" [Videodrone]
Saturday's episode of Saturday Night Live was pretty weaksauce overall, so one of the relative high points came with the above skit, which placed Justin Timberlake, Andy Samberg, and SNL's new guy in a scenario where they, clad in leotards and heels, were B's newer, spazzier, more penis-enabled dancers for her "Single Ladies" video. I guess someone in the writers' room saw the Google numbers for "single man dances to single ladies" and acted accordingly. But I have a very important question: Where is Beyonc

Paul Rudd And Andy Samberg Paint A Pretty Insane Picture On SNL [Painting Pals]
Last night's Saturday Night Live was seriously bizarre, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Taking a fairly dark turn after the Election Mania that gave the show a ton of buzz and a serious bump in the ratings, SNL returned last night with guest host Paul Rudd, putting out a show that was both wacky and terrifying. (As one commenter asked last night, "Did they get a deal on fake blood, or something?") Perhaps the strangest skit of the night was the digital short starring Digital Short Superstar An

We Call Bullshit On Rosie vs. Barbara [Faux Feuds]
Have you heard the wacky news? Rosie O'Donnell and Barbara Walters are "at it again"! No, they're not having creepy lesbian eldersex, they're a'feudin' and a'fightin' all over again. They haven't had a public dust up recently, not since Rosie was fresh off Walters' ladychat Hindenburg The View. Lots of folks seem to be buying into the latest war of words (I'm looking at you, Fox News)—which arose when comedienne Rosie said something about how the camaraderie on the show is false and celebrity intervie

Where's Justin Timberlake's SNL 'Single Ladies' video?
If you're one of the thousands (perhaps millions) of people who searched the Web for Justin Timberlake's hilarious "Saturday Night Live" performance as a leotard-clad, high-heeled dancer upstaging Beyonce in her “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)” music video, here’s the latest buzz: An "SNL" insider tells a GaySocialites source that Timberlake only agreed to do the piece for a "set price," and that means he would get "performance residuals" for any further dis

Beyonce Knowles Named “Style Star of the Year”
Being honored for her trendsetting ways, Beyonce Knowles was spotted out on Wednesday night (November 19) for a Seventeen shindig at the Hearst Tower in New York City. Posing alongside Seventeen Editor Jane Jameson and Editor in Chief Ann Shokethe, the “If I Were A Boy” singer was on-hand as the magazine unveiled Knowles as their 2008 Style Star of the Year. Meanwhile, Beyonce recently also opened up about her instant classic dancing skit with Justin Timberlake and Andy Samberg on

SNL Backstage: Justin Timberlake & Andy Samberg
I’m not a big fan of Justin Timberlake and could have easily gone without his “Weekend Update” bit this weekend on SNL. But mix him with Andy Samberg and Paul Rudd to be Beyonce’s back-up dancers and you’ve got my attention.
