Jennifer Garner: In an emotional video released on Youtube Thursday, actress Jennifer Garner pleads: "I'm begging you to please support this...to attend this event, and to give whatever you can...in any way you can."

Could this be a fundraiser to combat the current genocide in the Darfur region of Sudan, perhaps? A gala to raise money for breast cancer research? Pediatric AIDS maybe?

Nope. Garner, along with hubby Ben Affleck, will serve as ceremonial hosts this fall for a fundraising event called 'Starry Night.' Expected to raise $500,000 of the $26 million needed, proceeds will go to constructing an athletic building on the grounds of West Virginia's University of Charleston.

At a news conference on Thursday, UOC President Ed Welch announced the fundraising event, explaining, "there is just one building on the campus of the University of Charleston that has not been replaced or significantly remodeled in the past 50 years - the athletic complex."
