Verne Troyer's ex is firing back at the 2'8" actor after he accused her of abuse in a new lawsuit.
"This lawsuit is ridiculous and riddled with lie upon lie from
Verne Troyer and his camp," Holly Bannon, a rep for aspiring actress Ranae Shrider, tells Usmagazine.com in a statement. "It is in our opinion a transparent attempt to secure as much publicity as he can from his less than average career in the wake of his most recent failure in The Love Guru."
On Thursday, lawyers for
Troyer, 39 — who is seeking $20 million in damages — said the actor feared for his safety after Shrider once held him against his will.
Troyer's lawyer told TMZ: "When you pick up a 2'8" human being and throw him to the floor, it hurts."
But Bannon tells Us, "the only abuse that ever occurred in their household was that of emotional abuse inflicted upon Ranae and her dog Lacy on the occasions when he hit Ranae and her dog with his 'reaching sticks' or kicked them when having one of his drunken rages.
"This alleged abuse certainly has not seemed to affect his recent round of interviews or his golf swing over the weekend. Is this not the same man who is renown as a professional stuntman in all his movies?"

Verne Troyer has filed a $20 million lawsuit, claiming TMZ violated his rights by publishing and airing portions of his sex tape.
In the suit, filed Thursday in U.S. District Court in downtown L.A., Troyer claims TMZ violated his privacy rights and infringed on his copyright and trademark by running portions of the tape on TMZ TV and TMZ.com. He also alleges TMZ violated his right of publicity and misappropriated his name and likeness.

Verne Troyer aka Mini Me, has settled a lawsuit he filed to prevent distibution of a sex tape starring Troyer and a former girlfriend.
Troyer filed a $20 million lawsuit against porn broker Kevin Blatt, distributor SugarDVD and celebrity gossip Web site TMZ after snippets of the 50-minute tape were released last month.
Records show Blatt and SugarDVD have signed agreements requiring that they get Troyer’s approval before selling or distributing the tape or any images from it.
