Nevada's Free-Movie Lovers Ambushed With 'Valkyrie' Screening [Building Der Buzz]
Valkyrie. It's that rare movie which, without even having been released, has already managed to break free from its celluloid constraints to become a genuine state of mind. ("How you feeling?" "Oh, a little Valkyrieish, you?" "Same.") We all know the story by now: Odd flight of historical fancy by Nazi-obsessed director Bryan Singer; Tom Cruise signs on, bearing an uncanny resemblance to Col. Shtuffel Von Klingenhauser, the movie's famed Hitler-hunter; mishaps and flatulence follow, Nazis are injured and s
Tom Cruise as Villain in ‘Shrek 4′?
Tonight I got an email from one of our regular sources at DreamWorks, whispering in my ear to let you know that Tom Cruise is being considered to voice one of the villains in Shrek Goes Fourth. The sequel is due out in 2010 and this time it’s being directed by Mike Mitchell, who is rumored to be something of a Tom Cruise fan. He also has a history of working with high-profile Scientologists. In 2005 he directed Kelly Preston in Sky High.
Sounds funny, hopefully this one will be true, I imagine a very

Tom Cruise to Produce and Star in ‘The Monster of Florence’
The movie is about eight double homicides which are believed to have been committed single handedly between 1968 and 1985 in and around Florence. The movie is based on a true story and has already been made once in the 80s.
Yikes! Sounds very dark, but definitely intriguing.
Chris McQuarrie, who wrote the screenplay for Valkyrie, is in charge of the script. Word has it that Tom is waiting to read the finished script before he decides if he’ll star in it.

Suri Cruise: Most Likely to Be...
Yesterday we voted Kingston Rossdale as most likely to wind up as a superhip, superawesome DJ. We didn’t see many objections from you, so let’s continue our celebrity baby fan fiction with one of our favorite obsessions here—Suri Cruise.
Already sporting Burberry and Armani dresses with killer Mary Janes, Suri’s definitely going to know fashion. This paired with an interesting Tom Cruise upbringing will most likely cause Miss Cruise to develop a fashion sense light-years ahead of th
Life & Style Serves Up a Big Hollywood Showdown between Brangelina and TomKat!
There were many storys about how Tom was allegedly jealous of Brad over media attention he received when he was starting to “date” Angelina.
Now the mag makes it a feud between Brangelina and TomKat.
The cover presents the two couples as bickering over a bunch of things and now there’s a big showdown.
Here’s the problem. The story feels more appropriate for Variety than it does for Life & Style.
There’s no love - no emotion. It’s a work cover!
On another note, Life & Style has two
Oops…
I just realized that I failed to add “Valkyrie,” the Tom Cruise film that has stopped and started like nobody’s business, back to the charts in this week’s Oscar update. Oh well, we’ll adjust the next time around (when Torotno is safely behind us).

Germans May Get Riled by Tarantino’s Bastards
Uh oh. You don’t want to get the Germans mad. When the Germans get mad, they … write bad things about you in their newspapers. That seems to be what happened when Tom Cruise came to town for his WWII movie “Valkyrie”, which apparently was so full of inaccuracies that German historians that saw it got into a tizzy about it. (Was it the fact that everyone in the movie talked in their own native accents? Or maybe it was when Tom Cruise outran a Nazi robot firing vaporizing rays?) Now th

Tarantino’s Bastards Causes Angst in Germany
Apparently Quentin Tarantino’s treatment of Nazi Germany isn’t as lighthearted as it is in, for example, The Producers.
Today The Hollywood Reporter brings word that Quentin Tarantino’s script for Inglorious Bastards has leaked online in Germany and those who’ve read it are, well, not happy.
Tobias Kneibe, film editor of the Suddeutsche Zeitung, compared the response to Bastards to the firestorm over Tom Cruise’s yet to be released Valkyrie:

From Samurais To Shrek?
Cinema Blend reports that Tom Cruise is in consideration to provide one of the voices in 2010's Shrek Goes Fourth. While his casting is still officially unconfirmed, Cruise may be set to play one of the film's villains, opposite the previous films' cast members Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy, Cameron Diaz, and Antonio Banderas.
Cruise struggled to maintain his A-list pedigree in recent years thanks to a series of high-profile public appearances in which his behavior was considered erratic. More recently, howe
