You can finally breathe easy 'cause the long wait is over!
The time hath come for me to make the most eagerly awaited announcement since Rumpelstiltskin told his name to the miller's daughter!
I'm referring, of course, to the name of the winner of Pow's super spectacular "Ultimo" contest! We were besieged with answers from all over the city, the country, the hemisphere, the world! Unfortunately, the other planets in our galaxy don't seem to be using the Internet or the responses would have been too overwhelming for us to handle! (By the way, didja know that "whelm" means the same as "overwhelm?" So if ever you're in a hurry and wanna save a syllable- but I digress!)
Okay, I'll admit it-I was just rambling on to keep up the suspense. But I won't let the tension mount any longer. So here it is-the contest result that all you precocious Powsters have been waiting for!
The first of our cerebral contestants to hit us with the correct answers to our two riotous riddles is-- JONATHAN DILLARD of Stanton, CA!
Here, once again, for your enjoyment and edification, are the two riddles together with Jolly Jonathan's amazing answers:
1: "Who is the supervillain who shares his name with a Chinese dialect and who is the hero he vows to destroy?" The answer, which will be forever inscribed in the Pow Book of Records, is of course, the Mandarin- and Iron Man is the hero he has vowed to destroy.
2: "What is the name of the main female character in Shaman King?" Face it, what else could it be but Anna Kyoyama? As you may have guessed, those questions were formulated as a gesture of good-will to our Asian friends and as part of Pow's never ending quest for world peace.
So, congratulations to good ol' Jonathan on winning the spectacular all japanese, all exclusive version of Ultimo. Remember, O fate-favored one, try not to let thy sudden fame and acclaim go to thy noble and victorious head.
Mark ye well that we, the Paragons of Pow, ne'er must flaunt our pride or power.
And, for all you countless thousands who haven't yet won a prize, heed ye these wondrous words-- no loyal member of the Legion of Pow is ever a loser-only a winner whose time hath not yet arrived!
Gotta go now. It's not easy to dream up contest ideas so I wanna get a head start for the next one! In the meantime, always remember---
If it don't include Pow, it don't matter no how! (Ungrammatical, I admit. But words to live by!)
Excelsior!
Your Man Stan
