Movie Review: ‘Twilight’ - By Cupcake XO
Imagine leaving your sunny and lively hometown of Phoenix, Arizona, to go live in the cold, rainy and dull Forks, Washington. Imagine leaving your frantic mother, to go live with your relaxed father. These extreme changes are what Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) must endure in Catherine Hardwicke’s Twilight. The movie opens up as Bella is leaving Phoenix, and adjusting to her new surroundings. She soon finds herself at school and is captivated by the presence of a group of stunning schoolmates, who are the

This Thanksgiving, Twilight fans have plenty to be thankful for. Their beloved world has crossed over into the mainstream as one of the year's most successful movies. The bigger news is that sequel New Moon is now a lock and it's very likely that Stephenie Meyer's entire series will eventually be adapted for the screen. The cast and crew should be thankful as well, as they now have job security within these uncertain economic times. Our friends over at MTV have compiled some of their Twilight coverage int

Cast Interview, TWILIGHT
MoviesOnline recently had the pleasure of chatting with the actors who play The Cullen Family:  Peter Facinelli, Elizabeth Reaser, Ashley Greene, Jackson Rathbone, Nikki Reed, and Kellan Lutz, at the Los Angeles press day for their new movie, “Twilight,” an action-packed, modern-day love story between a teenage girl and a vampire. Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) has always been a little bit different, never caring about fitting in with the trendy girls at her Phoenix high school. When her m

What’s next for ‘Twilight’?
The first movie to be adapted from Stephenie Meyer’s breakout hit — about the chaste romance between rebel vampire Edward and a shy high school girl named Bella — left many, if not all, of the author’s fans in a state of religious ecstasy. Plans for the next installment, “New Moon,” are under way.

‘Twilight’ Sequel in the Works, Says Studio
HOLLYWOOD, CA (Hollywood Today) 11/23/08 – “Twilight,” the big-screen adaptation of the Stephenie Meyer vampire novel of the same name, will get its sequel. Summit Entertainment announced Saturday that it would begin work on “New Moon,” the next chapter in the Bella Swan/Edward Cullen saga, which would also be based on its corresponding literary work. Despite a mediocre critical response, the book series’ devoted fan base of mostly (but not exclusively) teen and ‘tween girls came out in force

Link: 28 Reasons the ‘Twilight’ movie is better than the book
I never read the book but enjoyed the movie to an extent.  I understand how all the hardcore Twilight fans are saying how the movie left out their favorite scenes and how the love between Bella and Edward seemed rushed… but hey, give them a break!  Here is an awesome article that explains why the movie is better than the book. xhttp://nymag.com/daily/entertainment/2008/11/slideshow_of_Twilight.html This entry was posted on November 26, 2008 at 1:52 pm and is file

'New Moon' Rising Thanks To 'Twilight' Success
Having already acquired the movie rights to the next three Twilight novels, Summit Entertainment has now given the green light to begin production on the sequel New Moon. Big box office returns over its opening weekend have secured the Twilight franchise and reluctant Robert Pattinson's future as a heartthrob no matter how vehemently he claims to be a bad kisser. EW: Behind Twilight’s Success Plus Sequel Details
Stephenie Meyer’s best-selling Twilight saga just took a shocking bite out of the box office. Well, shocking to everyone but her fans. This week’s Entertainment Weekly has the story behind the smash—and the scoop on the sequel, New Moon. The first movie to be adapted from Meyer’s breakout hit—about the chaste romance between rebel vampire Edward and a shy high school girl named Bella—left many, if not all, of the author’s fans in a state of religious ecstasy. Made for under $40 million, Tw

Twilight, Pattinson, Stewart Hit LA at Night, Creates Mayhem
Heartthrob Robert Pattinson tried to tame his unruly hair for the LA premiere of Twilight last night, though I prefer it when he lets it flow free. He posed with his onscreen love Kristen Stewart while thousands of fans screamed with excitement. The movie boasts another hot young thing, too, Cam Gigandet who is still Volchok from The OC to me. Wherever these kids go these days madness follows and Buzz sat down to chat with Robert about it all — check out part one and part two of the interview. Jennie Gart

Plans For 'Twilight' Sequel Begin Taking Shape
Catherine Hardwicke is in talks to follow-up her record-breaking Twilight movie by directing the sequel New Moon. The filmmaker scored the biggest debut ever for a female director when the vampire love story shot to number one in the U.S. on Sunday, and she's keen to get cracking on the sequel - so her young cast doesn't change beyond recognition. She tells USA Today newspaper, "(Twilight star Taylor Lautner) told me the other day that he had gained 14 pounds since I last saw him. He's only 16." The seq

Twilight (2008) Movie Review
I saw Twilight twice over the weekend, each time with a person who hadn't read the book(s), and can happily report that, despite the film's sometimes glaring flaws, we all enjoyed it. THE PLUSES: -The casting was 50% spot-on, with Kristen Stewart as Bella, Billy Burke as Charlie, Kellan Lutz as Emmet Cullen and Ashley Greene as Alice Cullen all very well-cast, image-wise. The trio of "bad" vampires are adequate too. As a fan of the book series, I had serious doubts about Robert Pattinson as Edward before

'Twilight' Breaks Box Office Records
It was definitely a hefty display of girl power at the end of the Twilight opening weekend. Raking in a hefty $70.6 million the audience was estimated to be 75% female and the largest opening ever for a film directed by a woman. The teenage vampire flick was originally expected to pull in $60 million at most, but "word of mouth" helped bring in that $10.6 million. Um, you're welcome, Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and the rest of the gang. Photo Credit: Getty Images We

'Twilight' Beats Wednesday Opening of 'Four Christmases' To Lead Thanksgiving Box Office; 'Australia' Debuts Distant #7
THURSDAY EARLY AM: For this 5-day Thanksgiving holiday, it looks like Twilight and female tweens and teens will go together like turkey and pumpkin pie. It's too soon to call the weekend movie-wise based just on Wednesday's grosses. But the expected frontrunner, New Line/Warner Bros' sour Four Christmases, came in only No. 2 with $6M from 3,310 theaters behind $8M from 3,419 venues for Summit Entertainment's no-sex, no-violence, no-stars vampire romance that should spend another weekend No. 1. "All tho
