Eclipse Casting and Auditions (Yes it's Twatlight please don't die)
Summit Entertainment has started preparing the sequel New Moon, based on Stephenie Meyer's second book in the series, and to contain costs, the studio is filming the third book, Eclipse, back to back using the same new director. On Sunday, December 7th, Summit Entertainment confirmed that Catherine Hardwicke will not direct the films New Moon or Eclipse. Filming begins on New Moon in March, 2009, and will continue right through completion of Eclipse. Auditions and any open casting calls for New Moon and Ecl
Twilight 2 and 3, New Moon and Eclipse, to Film Back to Back?
Yes, says the Acting Auditions blog, which lists upcoming auditions for movies and TV shows. According to the blog, Summit Entertainment is planning to shoot not one, but two “Twilight” sequels back-to-back in order to save on the cost of production. The first sequel we already know will be based on the Stephenie Meyer book “New Moon”, and since “Eclipse” is the third book in the series, it would only make sense that it would be the third installment in the mo

‘Twilight’ Premieres In Paris With Strange Body Language
We’ve been bringing you photos from the many “Twilight” premieres around the world, most recently in Paris and Munich. Now, it could be my imagination running wild, but ever since this weekend’s news that Catherine Hardwicke won’t be directing “New Moon,” the body language on the red carpet has become a little awkward.
While in Rome and Madrid, the cast were very close with their director, arms around shoulders and big smiles. And then there was last ni

She lives for the beach, dies for Tabitha's Salon Takeover, inhales cheeseburgers, wishes Stephen Colbert were her uncle, secretly admires the Olsen twins, and makes out with Eric Bana, Clive Owen and Viggo Mortenson (it’s not alwa
'Twilight': Hardwicke Fired?
Photo GallerySummit Entertainment isn't wasting any time moving forward with the second installment in Stephenie Meyer’s bestselling Twilight series, New Moon. After Twilight generated $138.6 million you’d think the studio would be hesitant in making any major changes but the Upstart distributor is not bringing back director Catherine Hardwicke.
Both Summit and Hardwicke cite Summit's wish to rush the movie into production as one reason for their split. Summit wants to release the picture, which
‘New Moon’ could be Directed by Chris Weitz
Since Summit let Catherine Hardwicke go from the ‘Twilight’ franchise the question remains, who will take on the role of director for the sequels? It looks like Summit has put and offer out to director Chris Weitz. Why is he you ask? He wrote and directed films such as ‘About a Boy’ and ‘The Golden Compass’. I guess Summit Entertainment really liked the look of ‘The Golden Compass’ even though it made no money, and I agree it did have a nice look t

'Twilight' fans flock to setting of vampire romance
If you're a "Twilight" fan, I'm sure you've heard of Forks, Washington before. But that question is: have you already been there?
If not, you should definitely on going, because ever since Stephenie Meyer's books became a hit, the town has seen an increasing number of visitors curious to see where Bella fell in love with a vampire.
Forks is the setting of the "Twilight" books, which chronicle the romance between a 17-year-old who moves to the town and falls for Edward Cullen, a vampire.
CNN today posted
Catherine Hardwicke: No on Directing "New Moon"
The Web is buzzing about the news that Catherine Hardwicke will NOT be directing “New Moon,” the next installment of the “Twilight” franchise.
Though I’ve heard rumors about tension on the “Twilight” set (and who really knows for sure?), according to a joint statement from Summit Entertainment and Hardwicke, the targeted release date of late 2009 or early 2010 doesn’t mesh with her schedule.
This has got to be tough all the way around. The fans

Director Chris Weitz to Spice Up Twilight Franchise With Vampire-Pie Romance?
Is Summit Entertainment replacing Catherine Hardwicke — record-setter for the biggest-ever box-office weekend for a film helmed by a woman — with some penis-having dude? Maybe! According to never-wrong Vulture buddy Nikki Finke, the studio has asked Chris Weitz, the man behind American Pie, The Golden Compass, and About a Boy, to step into Hardwicke's recently vacated position as the director of the two upcoming Twilight sequels (he's purportedly still considering it). Weitz did do some impressi
Rumor: Chris Weitz May Direct Twilight Sequels New Moon and Eclipse
The corpse of Catherine Hardwicke’s Twilight-directing career isn’t even cold yet, but Summit Entertainment is apparently wasting no time in finding a new director. The other day, we discussed how Hardwicke had been removed from the franchise. Now, Nikki Finke at Deadline Hollywood Daily has a source that informs her the offer for the sequel is going out to Chris Weitz.
In the past few years, Weitz has produced American Pie and its two sequels, along with Nick and Nora’s Infinite Playlist
