Translator Abdolhossein Sharifian dies at 83

John Steinbeck: Veteran Iranian writer and translator Abdolhossein Sharifian has died at the age of 83 at Kasra Hospital in the capital city of Tehran. Sharifian passed away Monday morning after being taken to hospital for respiratory problems one week earlier. According to ISNA, Sharifian translated about 50 books and wrote a number of short stories.
