Tom Cruise as Villain in ‘Shrek 4′?
Tonight I got an email from one of our regular sources at DreamWorks, whispering in my ear to let you know that Tom Cruise is being considered to voice one of the villains in Shrek Goes Fourth. The sequel is due out in 2010 and this time it’s being directed by Mike Mitchell, who is rumored to be something of a Tom Cruise fan. He also has a history of working with high-profile Scientologists. In 2005 he directed Kelly Preston in Sky High.
Sounds funny, hopefully this one will be true, I imagine a very

Yikes! Sounds very dark, but definitely intriguing.
Chris McQuarrie, who wrote the screenplay for Valkyrie, is in charge of the script. Word has it that Tom is waiting to read the finished script before he decides if he’ll star in it.

Germans May Get Riled by Tarantino’s Bastards
Uh oh. You don’t want to get the Germans mad. When the Germans get mad, they … write bad things about you in their newspapers. That seems to be what happened when Tom Cruise came to town for his WWII movie “Valkyrie”, which apparently was so full of inaccuracies that German historians that saw it got into a tizzy about it. (Was it the fact that everyone in the movie talked in their own native accents? Or maybe it was when Tom Cruise outran a Nazi robot firing vaporizing rays?) Now th
