Tilda Swinton:

I’ve never seen a proper interview of Tilda Swinton and I must say she was really funny! She visited with Letterman on Wednesday for her first ever late night interview to chat about her new movie with Brad Pitt and George Clooney, “Burn After Reading.”

A (Sort Of) Paean To Tilda Swinton [The Chronicles Of Tilda]
Tilda Swinton taught me it was okay to have pubic hair. I was 14, and friends with some mean boys who had me convinced that no one would ever touch me unless it was completely shaved. Swinton was naked on the TV screen in my English class — in Sally Potter's Orlando — and there was her bush for all to see. If pubes were okay for a movie star, they were all right for me too. Later, I realized that Swinton was less a movie star per se and more, as nerve.com put it, "the least ordinary actress ar

Stars in Rewind: McDormand and the Coens, 'Blood Simple' '80s-Style
The latest wacky work from Ethan and Joel Coen, Burn After Reading, is headed to screens next week. As you might have seen from the trailer, the flick has brought together the awesome collection of George Clooney, Brad Pitt, John Malkovich, Tilda Swinton, and Frances McDormand. But this is certainly not the first Coen movie that Frances has graced. In fact, they jump-started her career in 1984 with Blood Simple. Above, you can check out the trailer for the film, which follows love triangles and murder. McD

Tilda Swinton Says She’s Not An Actress
Says Tilda:  “. . . I’m not really an actress because the more I know about what real actors are subjected to within the film-making process, I’m not one at all.” Yeah, so what the eph is she?  I wonder what she checks off as her occupation on her tax statements?  If you earn your living acting, I’m gonna have to go ahead and call your ass an actress, okay?     Tilda also said this:  “I don’t choose roles, I choose people. I’ve never chosen a role i

BURN AFTER READING, EH!
Proving that he’s a true fan’s movie star, Brad Pitt spent over 30 minutes meeting and greeting with fans as he arrived at the Burn After Reading premiere held at Roy Thomson Hall during the 2008 Toronto International Film Festival. Joined by his costars John Malkovich and Tilda Swinton, the 44-year-old actor was all smiles as he made a slew of wisecracks about pal George Clooney who was seemingly missing in action despite being seen earlier today at the Milan Airport en route to Toronto. Mean

Tilda Swinton Blackbook September 2008 Photos
She’s by far one of the most original persons promoted in the media. And she shamelessly knows and takes advantage of that. I think, after all, that this is her power – she reigns, just like the Blackbook article said. Tilda Swinton reigns on the shallow and superficials just because she knows her power lies in their amazement. (more images after the jump) Tilda is the kind of man-woman, woman-man who enjoys being goth because she can’t do girly. That’s understandable and simply great because sh

TIFF Review: Burn After Reading
When the worlds of Washington, DC political intrigue, infidelity, fitness centers and internet dating intersect and collide in a darkly hilarious fashion, you must be watching a film by the Coen brothers. Burn After Reading, Joel and Ethan Coen's follow-up to last year's critically lauded award winner, No Country for Old Men, was actually written by the duo as they were adapting No Country, but the two films couldn't be more different. The colliding worlds in Burn After Reading involve a CIA analyst name

Tilda Swinton, Frances McDormand, Brad Pitt and George Clooney are bookended by the Coen Brothers while promoting Burn After Reading at the Venice Film Festival. They all may be a part of the same flick, but they fer sure ain't sharing a similar fashion sense. Joel and Ethan are behind-the-scenes director types, so we'll give their humdrum outfits a pass (tho ya think you could sport a tie or something when screening your movie?) Helena Bonham Carter, who just joined the cast of McG's upcoming Terminator Salvation, confirmed to SCI FI Wire that she plays a villainous character in the SF prequel. "I kind of play a baddie, definitely a baddie," Bonham Carter said in an interview while promoting her new film, the comedy-drama Sixty Six. "I don't know how much I'm allowed to say, but I'm a very bad person." Bonham Carter is a new addition to the cast of the film, which already includes Christian Bale, Sam Worthington, Anton Yelc

Scottish Robert showcases 'Stone Of Destiny' on home turf
Unveiling a new film is a special moment for any actor. For Robert Carlyle, though, the world premiere of Stone Of Destiny was especially memorable, as it took place at the Edinburgh Film Festival in his Scottish homeland. And, as he was joined by his beautiful 24-year-old co-star Kate Mara, even a torrential downpour couldn't dampen his spirits. Robert wasn't the only proud Scot on the red carpet, either. The film - which charts the true story of four students who stole the Stone of Scone - an artef
