Will Smith Is Not Cap, Says Marvel [Captain America]
Following on from yesterday's rumors that everyone's favorite Hancock was preparing to play America's Greatest Fictional Soldier, Ain't It Cool is reporting today that "multiple sources" from Marvel deny that Will Smith was ever offered the role of Captain America. "Marvel never offered the part, nor did they approach or entertain a conversation about Will Smith for [the role]," the site says. So, now we know. Unless, of course, these sources turn out to be wrong. [Ain't It Cool]
Will Smith is Captain America... Yeah Right!
MTV is reporting that Derek Luke is saying that he heard Will Smith was offered the role of Captain America in the upcoming Marvel Movie. Think about that for a second. That is like me saying my Bus Driver told my Son that Will Smith got offered the role in Captain America. If the fact that Captain America is a major superhero character and is WHITE is not enough to debunk it.. I dont know what is.
Of course Nick Fury has been recast from white soldier to african am

SuperRumors: Batman and Captain America…
No big surprise, but the rumors have really been flying lately around casting of some superheroes and villains alike. One of the most shocking, and easily the least likely, is that Marvel was considering Will Smith as Captain America. First, this would be a terrible choice for the character, but would almost guarantee a huge box office… but, it appears Marvel has already killed this rumor stating that they’ve never even considered him, let alone actually offered him the role.
Batman… yes,

Eve was out & about in West Hollywood yesterday showing off her new lacefront. Supposedly she was walking hand-in-hand with a new man. But I won’t insult your intelligence by posting a pic of him. I’m guessing Eve’s publicist put that rumor out there which means Eve has a new movie or TV show in the works. Is she still rapping?

Will Smith Is Not Captain America (Probably)
Ladies and gentlemen, you can put off the awkward self-examination of your racism for another day, as AICN talked to Marvel, and Marvel denies offering Smith the role of Captain America, or even talking to Smith. Shockingly, it may be true that Derek Luke—the actor we'd never heard of—is not the Hollywood know-it-all he might believe himself to be. At any rate, I'm proud to have done my part to pass this goofy rumor throughout the nerdernet.
During the general freak-out yesterday, several TR commenter

Will Smith Set To Become The Last Pharoah
He was the Fresh Prince. Now Will Smith is moving up in the world – he’s going to play a Pharaoh. Smith has signed on to star in The Last Pharaoh as Taharqa, a Nubian pharaoh who ruled over Egypt from 690BC to 664 BC, along the way repelling Assyrian invaders and maybe even, according to something I just looked up on Wikipedia, stopped an army from destroying Jerusalem and therefore helped to shape the Western world.
Smith has wanted to play Taharqa for a while – and, being the biggest movie star in
Will Smith As Captain America?
Crap. I just did a spit-take all over my computer screen.
Will Smith is the Fresh Pharaoh of Egypt
From the Fresh Prince of Bel-air to the Fresh Pharaoh of Egypt circa 677 B.C.? Most definitely. In today’s Hollywood, what Will Smith wants, Will Smith gets. Heck, if Will Smith says he eats babies for breakfast because it helps to keep his teeth shiny on camera, we’d all offer him our first born to feed on. Yes, Will Smith is that powerful all around the world. Or maybe just America. Okay, he’s pretty much just powerful in that small section of California where they make movies and what h

While speaking to Derek Luke about Miracle at St. Anna up in Toronto, the actor let slip that, as far as he knows, Will Smith was offered the part of Captain America.
