For the first time since leaving the group in 2006, former Backstreet Boy Kevin Richardson joined the rest of the group onstage in Los Angeles Sunday night, on the last stop of their Unbreakable tour at the Palladium in Hollywood.
In a fan-made video that's surfaced online, the audience erupts into deafening screams when Richardson emerges onstage to join the group for "Shape of My Heart," from the group's Black and Blue album. He's seen goofing around with his former bandmates, and at one point even lifts

For One Brief, Shining Moment, The Backstreet Boys Were Rendered Complete Again [Reunions]
The four remaining Backstreet Boys took the departure of member Kevin Richardson pretty hard when he left the ground in 2006 to pursue "new goals"—they even acknowledged that it would be hard to fill his shoes in a promo pic. So his return to the group during Sunday night's show at the Palladium in Hollywood, Calif., was greeted not only by lots of screaming from fans (seriously, you may want to turn down your computer speakers before hitting "play" on the above clip of "Shape Of My Heart"), the other

As part of Idolator's extensivecoverage of the demise of "smooth jazz" radio, it's our duty to inform you that WJZZ in Philadelphia, owned by the Greater Media group, flipped away from the format yesterday. Replacing the relaxing sounds of Chris Botti and Dave Koz: another adult-contemporary station, this one branded as "A Younger Approach to Today's Soft Rock." Considering the last three songs played at the "New Now 97.5" were by the Backstreet Boys, Maroon 5, and the Eurythmics, it's a little difficul

‘Four Christmases’ Owns the Holiday While ‘Twilight’ Tries to Hang On
I know I am late with the numbers, but Fantasy Moguls didn’t do their normal update and I am only a box-office regurgitator, not much of a prognosticator. I leave the guessing business to Laremy, and as it turns out it looks like he may have overestimated Twilight this holiday season as it is looking at a larger drop than some expected while the Reese Witherspoon and Vince Vaughn comedy is doing better than expected.
First to Four Christmases, which was projected to take somewhere in the $38.5 milli
’Four Christmases’ Beats ’Twilight’ For No. 1 Thanksgiving Box Office
Nikki Finke's Deadline HollywoodFRIDAY AM: Waistlines expanded on Thanksgiving Day, and this 5-day holiday is shaping up as big for moviegoing, too. Maybe it's because of the grim economy that audiences wanted laughs, but the mediocre comedy Four Christmases, helped by a short 80-minute running time, knocked off Twilight for No. 1 on T-Day and should stay on top all weekend. I toldja it was too soon to call the weekend movie-wise based just on Wednesday's grosses. But the expected frontrunner, New Line/Warn

'Twilight' Beats Wednesday Opening of 'Four Christmases' To Lead Thanksgiving Box Office; 'Australia' Debuts Distant #7
THURSDAY EARLY AM: For this 5-day Thanksgiving holiday, it looks like Twilight and female tweens and teens will go together like turkey and pumpkin pie. It's too soon to call the weekend movie-wise based just on Wednesday's grosses. But the expected frontrunner, New Line/Warner Bros' sour Four Christmases, came in only No. 2 with $6M from 3,310 theaters behind $8M from 3,419 venues for Summit Entertainment's no-sex, no-violence, no-stars vampire romance that should spend another weekend No. 1. Britney Spears, 'NSYNC Led The Class Of '99, But Whatever Happened To Len, Orgy?
The pressure had been building up behind the scenes for longer than most music fans realized. But when the teen-pop explosion burst onto the charts in early 1999 it felt like the music world had been blindsided overnight by a flood of squeaky-clean acts who would dominate the charts for years to come.
And in some cases, those ripples are still being felt today. It's hard to believe it now, but over the course of a few months between late 1998 and early 1999, radio and MTV were inundated with the debuts and
