Nothing But The Truth Review, Toronto 2008
Writer/director Rod Lurie distorts the Valerie Plame scandal into a women in prison fantasy about the crazy lengths one suburban mom/high powered career woman will go to in order to protect a child. Can't wait to see what he does with the Sarah Palin story.

SHORT TAKE: “Nothing But the Truth” (***1/2)
I gave a brief reaction to Rod Lurie’s “Nothing But the Truth” a few weeks ago, but I thought now would be a good time to fully explore what the film has to offer. Debuting tonight at the Toronto International Film Festival, “Truth” holds up on multiple viewings and, given the particulars of the narrative, one might be inclined to recommend a second look.
Lurie has built a modest career efficiently telling stories on the screen. He hasn’t knocked a critically acclaim
Nothing But The Truth Review
Here is an excerpt from a review for Kate's movie, Nothing But The Truth, which premiered this week at the Toronto Film Festival:
Kate Beckinsale gives the best performance of her career (and that's saying something considering how good she was in David Gordon Green's Snow Angels earlier this year) as Rachel Armstrong, the D.C. reporter who breaks the story about a fellow soccer mom who is in fact a CIA operative, played by Vera Farmiga.

Now that the VMAs are over it’s time to focus on the Toronto Film Festival going on in Canada. Kate Beckinsale was spotted looking lovely while in town for the premiere of “Nothing But The Truth” in which she plays a “female reporter who faces a possible jail sentence for outing a CIA agent and refusing to reveal her source.”

Palin comparison...GOP VP choice looks like a bunch of TV characters
Filed under: News, Celebrities, TV Squad Lists, Reality-FreeLast Friday, Senator John McCain shocked the world by announcing that little-known Alaska Governor Sarah Palin was his choice as vice presidential candidate for the Republican party. If you were like me, you couldn't help but notice that Sarah Palin -- a very attractive, 44-year-old mother of five -- looked an awful lot like some familiar TV faces, like 30 Rock's Liz Lemon.
In fact, at least one Hollywood writer recognized in Sarah Palin's being
Hidden (Quasi) Gem - Tyler Perry’s Meet The Browns
I’ve watched almost every Tyler Perry product of the last few years, including a few plays, on DVD for work-related reasons. While House Of Payne is perhaps one of the worst television series ever created, Perry is steadily improving as a filmmaker in the feature film front.
Maybe it was just the incredible advantage of having Angela Bassett read your script, but Meet The Browns was actually a pretty good film. It’s a billion times subtler and quieter than Diary Of A Mad Black Woman or Daddy
Anthony Edwards to return to ‘E.R.’
Anthony Edwards will reprise the role of Greene, who died of a brain tumor at the end of the 2002 season, in flashback scenes in the Nov. 13 episode, NBC announced Thursday.Dr. Greene will be shown with other characters from the show’s past and during an encounter with series newcomer Dr. Cate Banfield (Angela Bassett), an attending physician at County General, the network said. Anthony Edwards to the ER, STAT!
Anthony Edwards will be returning to NBC's long-running series "ER" to appear in an episode of the show's fifteenth and final season, TV Guide reports.
Edwards' character, Dr. Mark Greene, died of a brain tumor on the show back in 2002. But he is being brought back to appear in a flashback scene with new series regular Angela Bassett, TV Guide senior editor Will Keck reports in his column.
In the episode, Bassett's Dr. Cate Banfield enters the emergency room -- but not in a doctor capaci
Jessica Alba at the Obama Speech
Jessica Alba stayed in Denver and attended the Obama speech yesterday along with many other celebrities. Following the speech Alba said “I think that Barack Obama is the change that we need and I am so excited to be here. It’s anniversary of the Martin Luther King speech and all of it has come together. There is such synergy and so much love.”
Among the many celebs attending the event, we could see Susan Sarandon, Tim Daly, Anne Hathaway, Jennifer Hudson, Fergie, Will.I.Am, and Osc
Anthony Edwards ER!
Anthony Edwards ER RETURN! Anthony Edwards returns to ER’s FINAL SEASON in episode “Heal Thyself”. Yes, dead Dr. Mark Greene will come back alive for ER.
How?
Cue the flasback! If you are good on your ER history, Dr Green died of a brain tumor in Hawaii back in 2002.
But now he’s alive, in new flashback scenes. Angela Bassett’s Cate Banfield reportedly has to visit County General Hospital ER, and guess who is her doctor as a patient? Edwards!
Anthony Edwards Rushes Back to 'ER'
NBC’s ER is coming to a close and production is rounding up the best actors and actresses who have graced the show’s previous seasons to come back for a guest stint. In fact, we previously reported that season 15 will be very star-studded, with stars such as Angela Bassett, who will play Dr. Cate Banfield, a replacement for Kari Matchett’s outgoing character, Dr. Skye Wexler. Moreover, her real-life husband Courtney B. Vance will be playing her on-screen hubby, Russell Banfield
Anthony Edwards to return to "ER" for one night only
Sure, his character died. But this is TV, so Anthony Edwards can return to "ER."
Edwards will play Dr. Mark Greene again in an episode to air Nov. 13 on NBC -- during the November sweeps ratings period, of course.
In new scenes, Greene will be seen with other characters from the long-running series' past. "ER" will end its 15-year run on NBC this coming season. Oscar-nominee Angela Bassett is coming aboard as Dr. Cate Banfield.
Edwards' return could mean we'll see more "ER&quo
Courtney B. Vance Joins Angela Bassett on ER
For lots of people, the thought of working alongside their husband or wife is either a fantastic prospect or a fate worse than death. Seems that Courtney B. Vance subscribes to the former way of thinking as he’s joining his gorgeous wife Angela Bassett as a new attending on ER.
Vance will be appearing on a recurring basis as a new attending County General and he’ll be playing the onscreen husband of Bassetts ‘troubled’ new attending. It’ll be the first time they’ve both appeared together on the
Anthony Edwards To Reprise His Role For One Episode Of 'ER'
NBC announced that Golden Globe winner and Emmy® nominee Anthony Edwards will reprise his role as Dr. Mark Greene for one episode of NBC's long running show "ER" (Thursdays, 10-11 p.m. ET/PT). Edwards will return in the episode entitled "Heal Thyself," which was written and directed by executive producer David Zabel, and will air on November 13.
The installment will feature Dr. Greene in a series of newly shot scenes that will feature other characters from the show's past while also giving insight
ER season 15 finale leaks

Edwards heads back to "ER" in guest spot
LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Actor Anthony Edwards, one of the original stars of the NBC hospital drama "ER," will return to the landmark TV show in November in flashback scenes playing his now-deceased character of Dr. Mark Greene.
He will share scenes with actress Angela Bassett, previously announced as a new addition to the "ER" cast for the show's upcoming 15th and final season, the General Electric Co.-owned network said on Thursday.
Edwards, 46, first appeared in the 1994 "ER" pilot episode
Anthony Edwards returning to ER (!)
Filed under: ER, Celebrities, Casting, Reality-FreeRemember a while back when we talked about this being the last season of ER and producers were trying to get old cast members to come back for an episode of the show and we joked that they should find a way to get Anthony Edwards back on the show for an episode even though his character died?
The producers have Anthony Edwards coming back to the show for an episode even though his character died.

Anthony Edwards Back on "E.R.??"
When I read TV Guide's Will Keck reporting that Anthony Edwards would be appearing on the upcoming season of "E.R.," I needed to double-check what year it was.
That's right, kids. Producers may not have scored a George Clooney guest spot (yet!), but they are asking Mark Greene to make an appearance. In case you didn't know, Dr. Greene has been dead for about six years now. Hey, it's the last season -- anything goes!
Seriously though, don't expect the character to scrub in for surgery. Greene will app
