FOX411: Michael Jackson Turned Down Again
Quincy Jones is not going to help Michael Jackson make a new album.
The legendary producer of "Thriller" and "Bad," Jackson's two most successful collections, tells me he's concentrating on a big tribute collection set for next spring. About two dozen hip and R&B stars are recording Jones' songs for the compilation.
"We're trying to set up something for Mariah Carey now," said Q, who was one of the several prominent guests Tuesday night at an all-star fundraiser for Tony Bennett and wife Susan's Explo
Whoopi Goldberg Has The Hots For John Mayer
At Tony Bennett's Exploring the Arts Gala in Manhattan last night, Whoopi Goldberg took to the stage after John Mayer's performance of three songs and confessed her attraction to the romantically-fickle singer.
The View co-host gushed, "Oh my God! How cute is John Mayer?" Swooning over the singer's O-face
which seems to be a staple in the on-stage grimaces that constitute a

Whoopi Goldberg challenges Barack Obama to come on "The View" and relays her worries about Susan Lucci on "Dancing With the Stars"
Whoopi Goldberg is urging presidential candidate Barack Obama to drop by "The View."
"Barack, you need to come and sit with us, because people are now starting to say we didn't invite you," Goldberg said. She noted that the ABC chatfest had invited Obama and his wife, Michelle, several times. Could they be skittish?
Especially after what happened to John McCain? He faced surprisingly tough questioning when he and wife Cindy visited "The View." Later, Cindy McCain said at a
Whoopi Goldberg, Unlikely Fashion Plate [Dress You Up]
newVideoPlayer("//whoopidress_def.flv", 506, 423,"");This week on The View, Whoopi Goldberg has been cajoled into throwing caution to the wind and "dressing like a girl" (as Joy Behar so delicately put it). Yes, you read that correctly. Whoopi, whose style has been fondly described by our own Molls as "lesbian train conductor" chic, is trading in her Crocs and oversized collared shirts for Eileen Fisher dresses and patent red leather heels. Sure, she looks good. But her patronizing co-hosts are acting like

Last January I wrote a post entitled Things we Probably Won’t See on The View this Year. I decided to go back and look at what I wrote and see if any of those things have actually happened.
1. Whoopi Goldberg this happy during an interview segment:
While for the most part Whoopi still looks bored to tears during the interviews, she has appeared to enjoy some interviews lately, when it is with someone she likes, like Aaron Eckhart. Here is a photo of Whoopi looking pretty happy during the Eckha

Jon Favreau Confirms Mandarin In ‘Iron Man’ Franchise, War Machine, IMAX And ‘Demon In A Bottle’ Likely
During a press event held yesterday to promote the September 30 release of “Iron Man” on DVD, writer/director Jon Favreau had quite a bit to say about the film’s much-anticipated sequel, as well as the story that will potentially lead into a third “Iron Man” film.
Here’s a quick rundown of what he had to say about the future of the “Iron Man” franchise:
Favreau confirmed that Iron Man’s longtime nemesis, The Mandarin, will be a major villain in the fra
Microsoft’s New “I’m A PC” Ads Feature Green Folks, No Seinfeld
If you were one of the unfortunate millions that saw Jerry Seinfeld and Bill Gates talk about “nothing” in a string of commercials to promote Microsoft Windows, I’m sorry. Seinfled supposedly received something like $10 million for that BS, making him the winner and the rest of us dumber because of it.
Thankfully, Microsoft’s new wave of ads is much less “WTF” and more “Originality is a bitch, so let’s just piggyback onto what Apple has done.” I mean, I
Video: Pharrell in Microsoft ‘I’m a PC’ Ad
Microsoft has scrapped comedian Jerry Seinfeld and replaced him with celebrities such as Pharrell Williams and Eva Longoria Parker in a new series of TV ads promoting Windows.
Pharrell claims to be a PC in the commercial, but he’s actually a Mac user. In this case, there’s no truth in advertising.

Jon Favreau Reveals ‘Iron Man 2′ (And Maybe 3) Details!
Jon Favreau spoke at a big press gathering for the upcoming DVD release of the Iron Man and he was open to share where he may be going with the sequel and maybe even a third film.
The big morsel involves of Jim Rhodes, aka War Machine. Rhodes, played by Terrence Howard, wasn’t a huge part of the first movie, but there are plans to make up for that. Favreau stated that he would love to do the “Demon in a Bottle” storyline, where Tony Stark falls into the deep, dark hole of alcoholism.
Microsoft’s new ad: I’m a PC. Also, a douchebag
So after the new ads with Jerry Seinfeld were a catastrophe of the highest order, Microsoft went back to the drawing board for their ad campaign. And made this.
Yes, that’s pretty great. You know what’d be just as funny and possibly more poignant? An ad with Pete Townshend saying “I’m a PC”. Because, yes, a man who got busted with kiddie porn on his laptop appeals to me just as much as that piece of crap above.
What the fuck does the guy who catches fish use a PC for?

Jerry Seinfeld Microsoft ads scrapped; company says ‘We meant to do that’
The pointless and ire-inducing Microsoft ads featuring Jerry Seinfeld and billionaire founder Bill Gates reminding you how much of your time is wasted using the all too fallible operating system have been withdrawn from the airwaves. The ads featured the two in everyday situations that were meant to show that Microsoft is hip and approachable but just managed to come off as lame.
It is widely believed that the ads, which cost Microsoft a reported $30 million, including Seinfeld’s $10 fee, were pulle

Review: ‘The Hunting Party’ on DVD
‘The Hunting Party’ was co-written and directed by Richard Shepard whose last feature film was ‘The Matador’ (2005), which gained him some notoriety for his style. While that film did receive some critical acclaim, ‘The Hunting Party’ I believe is a bigger step up for Shepard. His writing and directing in this film has definitely benefited from a stronger pace and tempo and a refined sense of his own stylistic approach to the material. The story is based on an Esquire mag

Neil Patrick Harris made his acting debut at age 15 in the 1988 Whoopi Goldberg movie Clara's Heart; since then, he's worked steadily, with dozens of roles in TV shows and movies, a stage career including a Broadway stint with Proof, and films roles in Starship Troopers, Undercover Brother, and more. But throughout the '90s, he was best remembered as the titular precocious underage doctor on Doogie Howser, M.D. In 2004, he picked up praise, laughs, and a new cult following as "Neil Patrick Harris," a strung
Microsoft announcement tomorrow: No more Seinfeld ads! [Breaking]
Remember those awful Microsoft ads with Jerry Seinfeld and Bill Gates? Well, now you can forget them. Microsoft flacks are desperately dialing reporters to spin them about "phase two" of the ad campaign — a phase, due to be announced tomorrow, which will drop the aging comic altogether. Microsoft's version of the story: Redmond had always planned to drop Seinfeld. The awkward reality: The ads only reminded us how out of touch with consumers Microsoft is — and that Bill Gates's company has millio
Microsoft's agency, spokespeople love their Apple products [Advertising]
Ad agency Crispin Porter + Bogusky made Microsoft's "I'm a PC" ads using Macs, according to a Flickr user who downloaded an image version of the ad from Microsoft's web site and perused its meta data. After Digital Daily posted the news, a Microsoft flack confirmed the news and said: "Agencies and production houses use a wide variety of software and hardware to create, edit and distribute content, including both Macs and PCs." Along with its ad agency, Microsoft's spokespeople in the "I'm a PC" campaign ar
