South Park: “Ungroundable”
Seemed like a closing fit to an unusual seven episodes. We weren’t completely enamored with it, but it definitely had its moments. Since we’re pressed for time we’re going to do this bullet-point style.
The goth kids and their incessant bitching saved the episode. It was similar to the Crab People episode when Mr. Garrison resents mainstream America taking to the stereotypical forms of gay culture, in that these are two groups of people attempting to distinguish themselves, and for whatev

Filed under: Other Comedy Shows, Industry, Programming, Video, Reality-FreeYou would think that the highest-rated Comedy Central show of all-time would either be an episode of South Park or one of the nightly news satire programs, The Daily Show or The Colbert Report. It's actually none of those. The biggest audience-getter was a Christmas special featuring various puppets. The Sunday debut of Jeff Dunham's Very Special Christmas Special grabbed 6. 6 million viewers. It's Goth vs. Vamp When South Park Takes on Twilight
In a very timely take on the Twilight phenomenon, last night's episode of South Park has the town's school being overrun by a cult of teenage vampire wannabes. These children of the night take their style cues from the local Hot Topics and drink Clamato to seal their transformation. Then it's cult vs. cult, as goth kids attempt to banish the newcomers who, they complain, have "bogarted" their style. For them, the worst of it is that no one seems able to tell the two groups apart.

Watch This: Even 'South Park' is Doing Vampire Shtick
Those of you who caught last night's South Park episode would have noticed a pretty familiar and topical theme: vampires. We're not sure whether the boys intentionally made sure this episode aired the week Twilight was to arrive in theaters or if they just got lucky, but it was all pretty funny nonetheless. And while they didn't reference Twilight (the one thing the episode was missing)*, they did take a few jabs at Hot Topic and the difference between goth kids and vampire kids. In the episode, the charact
SOUTH PARK: BIGGER, LONGER Sequel?
I’m a big fan of South Park. there I said it, I don’t know if I’m going straight to hell for saying that, but you gotta admit, this past decade, our world has been turned upside down by the animated comedy series that pushes boundaries like no other. Cartman, Kyle, Stan, Butters, Kenny and the fourth grade gang would go where no man has gone before to make fun of current affairs and today’s pop culture and media. If you’re being talked about… you can bet your ass you̵

MUSICAL DISTRACTION: “I’M GOING UPSTAIRS,” BY JOHN LEE HOOKER
Today’s Musical Distraction actually comes from one of our readers – a financial whiz who flirted with McCain early on, but come election day plans to “take that next step” with Obama.
Mainly because he’s been crying himself to sleep at night over the market collapse and believes that Obama’s policy prescriptions, while not necessarily music to his free market-loving ears, are far more common-sense, reality-based than McCain’s.
He calls this song his

Hey, Guess Who’s Not Going to a Washington D.C. Public School?
Despite pleas from the community for President-elect Obama to send his girls to one of the (god-awful) Washington D.C. public schools, in hopes that his daughters’ attendance there would help the schools improve, Barack has opted to send Sasha and Malia to the presitigious Sidwell Friends school, a private Quaker school that Chelsea Clinton also attended.
What do you think of Obama’s choice? Should he have sent the girls to a public school?

Couric appeared as a guest on Wednesday's show, and they had an amusing coversation about the election, Barack Obama and Sarah Palin. But the New York Post pointed out that Let
