Samuel L. Jackson and Bernie Mac Team Up in 'Soul Men' Trailer
What a pity it is that we lost both comedian Bernie Mac and musician Isaac Hayes in such short order, and what a stroke of good fortune that they both happened to have completed their roles in the upcoming comedy, Soul Men, in which Mac's character tries to get Samuel L. Jackson to join him for a televised reunion concert.
Yahoo! Movies has released the trailer for the film, and it reflects both the best tendencies of director Malcolm D. Lee and his worst as a writer (though he isn't credited as one here).

Bernie Mac and Isaac Hayes' Soul Men Trailer
The first trailer for the comedy Soul Men has hit and it's almost sad to watch, considering two of the film's prominent cast members passed away quite recently. The story doesn't help lighten the mood either: in honor of their recently deceased band leader, two estranged soul-singing legends (played by Bernie Mac and Samuel Jackson) decide to put on a reunion performance at the Apollo Theater. Unfortunately this trailer looks terrible, but maybe that's because it's not my type of humor. This has definitely

Isaac Hayes & Scientology
The passing of soul musician Isaac Hayes is the latest in a string of celebrity deaths, but one that strikes me as especially tragic. Hayes was most recently famous for voicing the character of "Chef" on the satirical cartoon South Park, until the show began to pick fun at Scientology. According to most accounts, Hayes got a somewhat hypocritical attack of conscience over picking fun at his own religion, and he resigned from the show.
It now appears that he may not have made the decision himself. Isaac's

Samuel L. Jackson says “Lose the Bikinis!”
Samuel L. Jackson has played some outstanding characters in the past: Shaft, Mace Windu and Nick Fury. Now he is trying on the voice of the people. In a recent interview with shobizspy, Jackson voiced his opinion on PG films containing strippers. Jackson said” Strippers who don’t strip..suck!” He was referencing a scene in his new film Lakeview Terrace that has a bachelor party with three ladies who dance but remain fully clothed. Jackson added, “But this is a PG movie (actually PG-1

Neil Patrick Harris is embracing the news that Britney Spears will appear on his CBS sitcom How I Met Your Mother — and he’s also having some fun with the idea.
“I was shocked that Madame Spears was willing to come and do some acting,” Harris, 34, tells Entertainment Tonight.
Noting “she hasn’t acted in a while,” Harris goes on to say, “This is a very interesting role. It is very not like her at all in real life in any of her previous chapters.”
