Kevin Bacon admits: 'We were swindled!\"
Kevin Bacon and wife Kyra Sedgwick were among the celebrities taken to the cleaners in the alleged Ponzi scheme run by disgraced financier Bernard Madoff, but Kevin tells Life & Style he's trying to keep his losses in perspective.
"There are a lot of things I'm grateful for: my health, my family, my career, my family's health," he told Life & Style Friday at a Television Critics Association press event in LA. "We'll march on. We have to. There

Ha! You Got BACON’D!
It’s bad enough Kevin Bacon has become a sidekick in recent films and to realize that his wife, Kyra Sedgwick (TV’s The Closer) may be a bigger star than he is, now he’s pulling an Ashton Kutcher with the clip above called Bacon’D! Via funnyordie, actually..I think his previous video, Join The Kevin Bacon Movie [...]

Somebody give Kevin Bacon a job! And not a blow job! Well, unless you're going to pay top dollar for it. Seriously, can't they write him into the Footloose remake? Or maybe a network can buy Bacon'D? Something Called 'People's Choice Awards' Praises 'Dark Knight,' '27 Dresses' [Awards]
A mysterious show known as the 2008 People's Choice Awards was broadcast Wednesday on CBS, selecting The Dark Knight, 27 Dresses, Will Smith, Reese Witherspoon and others among its many honorees.Apparently celebrating its 35th anniversary, the awards were based on tabulations from hoi polloi votes flooding this Web site. In recognition of this anonymous constituency, many of the winners, including Bale, Witherspoon, Ellen DeGeneres and Carrie Underwood, appeared live on the broadcast to accept bulky glass s
The Closer: ‘Split Ends’ Preview (9-1-08)
Although Monday, September 1, is a national holiday, Labor Day, in the United States, there will still be a brand-new episode of The Closer called “Split Ends.”
On this “hair-raising” installment, Team Brenda investigates the murder of a hairstylist for a TV show who also has a disturbing background filled with abuse. And if that’s not enough — an abused woman — to irritate Brenda, then how about another visit from her wonderful but slightly meddling parents? You
The Closer: ‘Tijuana Brass’ Preview (9-8-08)
Brenda gets in deep you-know-what during “Tijuana Brass,” the September 8 episode of The Closer, when reporter Ricardo Ramos’ article on Priority Homicide is published and the you-know-what hits the fan due to its negative depiction of Team Brenda. Yes, the boys and two girls can come off as an abrasive bunch to the uninitiated, but who in their right mind would argue they don’t get the job done?
Of course, Chief Pope gets pissed about the potentially damaging publicity, which is a
The Closer: 4.8 ‘Split Ends’ Review
Although definitely not the best or most riveting episosde of The Closer so far this season, “Split Ends” does have its moments. Many of them, in fact, are comedic, which is a nice counterpoint to the very grave and extremely depressing topics the show has tackled in recent weeks.
The main murder of the installment involves a 33-year-old Hollywood hairstylist named Rachel Hughes, whose viciously beaten and bloody body is found underneath a trailer on the lot of her popular TV show Trauma Unit.

Who, Besides Anne Hathaway, Will Win a Golden Globe This Weekend?
Given our hilarious rate of success in forecasting last year's winners, we really have no business at all making predictions about this Sunday's Golden Globes — but don't expect that to stop us! And this may be the most predictable awards season ever, but one should never underestimate the Hollywood Foreign Press Association's tendency to throw curveballs or Vulture's amazing ability to be wrong about things. At least we feel pretty good about Anne Hathaway's chances! The rest of our picks, after the
2008 Emmy Awards Trend Alert: Dripping With Beading
Lavishly beaded dresses are no strangers to the red carpet. Nevertheless, their gorgeousness paid us many visits at the 2008 Primetime Emmy Awards. Whether on neutral, black, or white dresses, sparkly beads and crystals made the carpet a much more luminous place tonight. Case in point: Kyra Sedgwick in L'Wren Scott (left). Without the bead detailing, the dress would simply be a plain white dress. Gasp! Beading also appeared on asymmetrical straps, cap sleeves, trains, and sprinkled all over. See who else wa

'The Starter Wife' is all about the women
Cable television, where the lineup features mobsters, serial killers, psychopathic bikers and drug-dealing suburban parents, Friday night rolls out the real gamble: a chick flick.
That would be the series version of "The Starter Wife," which began as a miniseries last year and did so well it's returning for 10 more episodes (9 p.m., USA).

The key to this resurrection, says co-writer Sara Parriott, was convincing Debra Messing to continue as the star. "We would not have gone
Which Shorter Hemline at the Emmy Awards Is Most Fab?
Not many celebrities busted out non floor-grazing frocks this year at the Emmys but the ones who did worked it well. This time, shorter hemlines ranged from sassy knee length to retro ankle skimming heights. All of these ladies look distinctive, but which look was your favorite?

Emmy Awards: Best and Worst Dressed
Taking a cue from the stock market, last night’s Emmy Awards were in constant, violent flux. The show opened with The Almighty O, Oprah, and then plummeted into the outer rings of hell when the reality hosts took the stage armed with ... nothing. Steve Carrell and Ricky Gervais managed to jolt the show back to life but then the Desperate Housewives took the stage and used their time to prove they’re the happiest cast on TV (Dana Delany kissing Marcia Crosses forehead was Manson-style overkill). All nigh

Golden Globes 2009: Jennifer Morrison

Morrison is wearing Oscar de la Renta (who was all over the red carpet dressing ladies like Amy Adams and Kyra Sedgwick) with Lorraine Schwartz jewelry.

(S04E09) It would appear that summer really is coming to an end. The Closer will wrap up its run next week with the big, explosive, finale. And with the end of the season in sight, "Tijuana Brass" started wrapping up the major ongoing story. The infamous Ramos article was finally published, and the the effects were many and varied. It couldn't have come at a worse time either, as Priority Homicide found themselves in the middle of a very delicate case.
