Amy & Tina Do Hillary & Sarah To Hilarious, Depressing Effect [Clips]
newVideoPlayer("/FeyPoehler_Jez.flv", 506, 423,""); As predicted by many, Tina Fey appeared alongside Amy Poehler in the cold open for this weekend's season premiere of SNL. The two — appearing as Sarah Palin and Hillary Clinton — delivered a message about sexism, an issue, Poehler/Clinton noted, "I'm surprised to hear people suddenly care about." Not surprisingly, the sketch, seen above, was both funny and painful because the things coming out of Fey's mouth were not so dissimilar to the boneheaded th
Tina Fey Bows to Pressure, Speaks With Alaskan Accent
Just in case you found something better to do on Saturday night than watch the mostly bad, Michael Phelps–hosted SNL season premiere, and you somehow inexplicably managed to avoid seeing it on another, more fastidious blog sometime in the past 36 hours, we thought we’d let you know that the best part, in which Tina Fey returned to do an awesome impersonation of Sarah Palin, is currently streaming on NBC’s Website. Phelps' Midas Touch Intact
Viewers didn't seem to mind Sarah Palin and Hillary Clinton - portrayed hilariously by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler - in lieu of Barak Obama (The real one!) on SNL's season premiere on Saturday.
The 34th season opener, hosted by golden boy Michael Phelps, debuted Sept. 13th with a 7.4 rating/18 share in the metered markets. That's the highest local-market average for an SNL season premiere since 2001 and an increase of 64% from one year earlier on Sept. 29th with a 4.5/11.

‘SNL’ Premiere Could’ve Been Even Worse
Photo: Courtesy of NBCThe season premiere of Saturday Night Live that you likely fell asleep halfway through — seriously, that locker-room sketch where Michael Phelps danced is probably still going — isn’t necessarily the one that Lorne Michaels had envisioned. According to Tom Shales, Barack Obama had been scheduled to appear but canceled Friday night because he didn’t think it was appropriate to do the show in the aftermath of Hurricane Ike. Chuck Norris was supposed to be on

"Saturday Night Live" Has Best Premiere Ratings Since 2001
With a little help from Tina Fey doubling as Sarah Palin and from guest host Michael Phelps, "Saturday Night Live" logged its best season premiere since 2001.
It was also the most-watched "SNL" for any date since December 17, 2002, when former vice president Al Gore was the guest host and jam band Phish was the musical guest.
"SNL" averaged a 7.4 household rating/18 share in the top 55 "metered"
MCCAIN CAMP: TINA FEY IS “DISPRESECTFUL…SEXIST”
John McCain’s spokeswoman Carly Fiorina has chimed in on Tina Fey’s portrayal of vice presidential contender Sarah Palin from this weekend’s Saturday Night Live.
Her verdict? “Disrespectful”, adding Fey was “sexist” and failed to delve into Palin’s substance.
Because, you know, offering in-depth character discussion is SNL’s forte.

Tina Fey as Sarah Palin on SNL (Full Video - NBC)
John McCain adviser Carly Fiorina called comedian Tina Fey “sexist” and “disrespectful” Monday in response to Fey’s impression of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) on Saturday Night Live.
She (Carly) can eat a bowl of dick - but out of a uni-sex bowl (so I won’t be accused of saying something sexist).

McCain Camp: Tina Fey Is 'Sexist'
In response to Tina Fey's genius Sarah Palin impression on this weekend's Saturday Night Live (at right), McCain spokeswoman Carly Fiorina called Fey's portrayal "sexist" and "disrespectful." You know what? That's totally fair, because SNL never makes fun of any other political candidate. Oh wait…
Fiorina went on to say that "just because Sarah Palin has different views than Hillary Clinton does not mean that she lacks substance." Fair enough — so w

She continued "of course, the portrait was very dismissive of the substance of Sarah Palin, and so in that sense, they were defining Hillary Clinton as very substantive, and Sarah Palin as totally superficial."
Fey returned to SNL on Saturday, where she and Amy Poehler who played Hillary Clinton delivered a special "non-partisan message" at the opening of the show's season premiere. (Watch the sketch.)

Tina Fey IS Sarah Palin
Here it is, Saturday Night Live's Sarah Palin skit starring Tina Fey. Not a lot to add to this one: it's note-perfect, and it says a lot about how incredible Fey's impersonation is here that Amy Poehler's best Hillary Clinton bit yet is relegated to the second-best performance category. Greatest Living Olympian Michael Phelps hosted the show; no word on whether or not he got handsy with Fey or Poehler after they wrapped it up.

McCain/Palin Ticket: No Laughing Matter For Gay Community
Over the weekend, Tina Fey did a hilarious send up of Vice Presidential nominee Sarah Palin on Saturday Night Live. And SNL hasn't been the only one poking fun at the Alaska Governor who has foreign policy experience because she can "see Russia from Alaska." But Palin's nomination and McCain's campaign aren't very funny if you are gay and lesbian.
Last week Palin was interviewed by ABC's Charlie Gibson and one of the questions Gibson asked touched on gay issues. Here was the exchange:

McCain Camp: Tina Fey "Disrespectful" and "Sexist"
McCain Spokesperson Carly Fiorina lashed out at Tina Fey today on MNSBC, calling her portrayal of Sarah Palin both "disrespectful" and "sexist." Tina Fey, a strong supporter of Sen. Hillary Clinton's campaign (she endorsed Clinton on SNL last season), is seen by no reasonable person as sexist.
Meanwhile, rumors that Fey will appear on SNL again have already begun and the AP calls her performance, "by all accounts a virtuoso impersonation."
