Sarah Chalke: One week before next weekend's Primetime Emmy Awards lots of stars of the small screen came out in LA on Saturday for the presentation of the Creative Arts Emmy Awards. The show airs Saturday and was hosted by two of my favorites, Sarah Chalke and Neil Patrick Harris, who kept the laughs coming. As expected, Mad Men and John Adams both took home multiple statues — check out all the winners here. Kathy Griffin kept things raunchy when she won again while Sarah Silverman's acceptance speech for "I'm F*cking Matt Damon" was uncharacteristically touching. She said, "Let's be honest, Matt Damon had very little to do with this being popular. . . Thanks to the person for whom this whole video was made: Jimmy Kimmel, who broke my heart – who'll

In a ceremony for the Creative Arts Emmys held Saturday in Los Angeles, and hosted by Neil Patrick Harris and Sarah Chalke, Sarah Silverman won two Emmys for the incredibly funny and oddly poor-timed video, “I’m F’cking Matt Damon“. What was gay at "The Shmemmys"? Lots.
This weekend the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences held their annual Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards ... or, as they have been better known since Kathy Griffin vaulted them to the spotlight with her "suck it, Jesus!" acceptance speech last year, The Shmemmys. The event honors a host of behind-the-scenes talent and lower-profile categories ... although from the sounds of it, it may soon overshadow its behemoth big brother in terms of sheer character. The awards were co-hosted by Neil P

The 60th Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards
Ashley Tisdale, Kathy Griffin, Lisa Edelstein, Sarah Chalke, Valerie Bertinelli, Brenda Song, James Gandolfini, Monique Coleman, Sarah Silverman, Chloe Sevigny, and Seth Green walked the red carpet for the 60th Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles.  It seems like there is always an award show a brewing. I think from August to February or so it gets to be a bit ridiculous. But I always LOVE to see what the women choose to wear. So keep 'em coming!  Anyone else thi

The Creative Arts Emmys were held last night in Los Angeles, and big names took home a number of statues.  The Creative Arts Emmys celebrates the more minor categories, the ones who weren't big enough to make the big show, if you will.  The Creative Arts Emmys will air Saturday, September 20 on E!, a day before the Primetime Emmys air live on ABC.  Neil Patrick Harris (How I Met Your Mother) and Sarah Chalke (Scrubs) hosted the event, which included such winners as Cynthia Nixon (Law & Or

‘I’m Fucking Matt Damon’ Wins an Emmy!
Photo: Getty ImagesAt Saturday's shamefully non-televised Creative Arts Primetime Emmys ceremony — an awards show that every year sounds more and more fun than the boring, televised Primetime Emmys ceremony — Sarah Silverman picked up her first-ever statue for her hilarious, YouTube-conquering song "I'm Fucking Matt Damon," a winner in the Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics category. But it was a bittersweet win, of course, as the song was written for her ex-boyfriend Jimmy Kimmel, with

Sarah Silverman is So Not Over Jimmy Kimmel
Sarah, doll face, you’re hilarious. And pretty. Jimmy Kimmel? He looks like he’s squinting, and he’s got a gut, and his O-face must suck, because let’s face it, his face already looks like he’s stuck in mid-climax. Like, no one keeps their eyes fully open when they cum, and his eyes look halfway closed already, which means you can’t trust him. Never trust a man with a bad O-face. It’s a red flag that things will not end in your favor. Sarah Silverman isn’t ov

How I Met Your Mother Recap: Goats, Slaps, and Tramp Stamps
We've seen a lot of great preview clips for returning shows that will soon be back on the air to tie up last season's cliffhangers. But where's How I Met Your Mother? The CBS comedy finished strong last Spring, aided by a couple of guest appearances by Britney Spears, a great plotline involving Sarah Chalke as a candidate for "the mother," and a cliffhanger that's had me waiting all Summer for an answer. But though it premieres just a week from tonight, I still haven't seen much about what the new season h

Fashion Was All Over The Place At The Creative Arts Emmy Awards [The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly]
The Creative Arts Awards is one of those vague awards shows that no one really knows much about. The awards seem to be respectable — you get, like, Chloe Sevigny, Ira Glass and James Lipton — but also red-carpet fixtures like Kathy Griffin, various teen starlets and reality TV fixtures. The red carpet at LA's Nokia Live Theatre kind of mirrored this confusion — some people, like Jennifer Beals, looked Oscar-amazing; others were less than ready for Prime-Time, a few were just flat-out confusing — so

HBO Leads the Way at Creative Arts Emmys
HBO was the big winner at Saturday night’s Creative Arts Emmy Awards, claiming 16 statuettes, led by miniseries “John Adams,” which took eight. ABC and PBS tied for most wins among broadcasters with nine awards each. Tim Conway won for guest actor in a comedy series for his stint on NBC’s “30 Rock." He kept his acceptance speech short after an intimate experience with the Emmy’s pointy wings. He jokingly told reporters backstage he received a “flesh wound” after hugging his statue, bringing
