Director Sam Raimi (Spider-Man) is in talks with Paramount Pictures for a revival of the Jack Ryan franchise.
Ryan is the brainy CIA analyst turned action hero character created by novelist Tom Clancy that went on to launch four hit movies for the studio. The character was first portrayed by Alec Baldwin in 1990's The Hunt for Red October and then by Harrison Ford in 1992's Patriot Games and 1994's Clear and Present Danger. Ben Affleck last played Ryan in 2002's The Sum of All Fears.

Alison Lohman will replace Ellen Page in Sam Raimi's horror film "Drag Me to Hell" for Ghost House, Mandate Pictures and domestic distributor Universal.
