Thandie Newton Talks About Playing Condoleezza Rice
Thandie Newton, who will portray Condoleezza Rice in Oliver Stone's biopic of George W. Bush, seems as conflicted about the controversial Secretary of State as the rest of us. It is actually quite humorous to listen to her describe the process of getting under the elusive Condi's skin. She talks to Laura Barton in The Guardian: At present she is knee-deep in preparation to play Condoleezza Rice in Oliver Stone's film, W, about the Bush administration. "I've been very grumpy all day," she laughs, "doing my w
Coming attractions: Sherlock Holmes? Ritchie's on the case
Guy Ritchie's latest gangster yarn, RocknRolla, won't even be in theaters for another six weeks, but he already has turned his attentions to his next project, a version of Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes for contemporary tastes.
"It will be a very big production, visceral and intellectual," Ritchie says. "His brilliance will percolate into the action."
The expected 2010 Warner release will be set in the olden days, he says, but the emphasis will be as much on Holmes' physical prowess as it is on
Guy Ritchie Talks Sherlock Holmes

Ritchie finds Madonna "interesting"
So, Guy Ritchie, what is it that still attracts you to the muscular multi-millionaire superstar Madonna, with whom you have made a family and bought several homes and a pub?
Well, says Guy, it's her amazing mind:
I believe my wife to be very creative. I'm interested in how she thinks and there seems to be no end to the desire to be creative; I find that invigorating and interesting.
"Creative" is, perhaps, a fair description. But this wobbling around finding her "interesting" just doesn't cut it. Watch out
Madonna at 50
A glowing Madonna and hubby Guy Ritchie were seen just as they made their way out of the Queen of Pop’s 50th birthday celebration last weekend in London. The singer and her man partied it up at hotspot Volstead. Guy is said to have hired top graffiti artist Bansky to create a $900,000 portrait of Madonna to Mark her milestone birthday. That’s one very hefty payment for the art that usually gets someone arrested. There. She’s 50 years old. Now, let the tour begin! The party doesn’t stop until everyon
Guy Ritchie hits the pub with sons Rocco & David while Madonna is away
I guess Madonna allowed her husband, Guy Ritchie, to re-attach his testicles to his body while she is away on her tour. Guy was spotted leaving a pub at 10 p.m., smiling. The couple’s sons Rocco and David were with him along with their nanny. But before you go jumping to conclusions- keep in mind that Madonna and Guy co-own the pub, and it’s a short distance from their home.
While Madonna’s away, it appears that Guy Ritchie is keen to make the most of his free time.
But does his famous p
Celeb Quote Of The Day: Guy Ritchie
“I like to think I’m an objective Guy. I have sympathies with many philosophies, and I think it’d be a mistake to be a follower of anything, really. I just think any intelligent human being has to remain, if you can, objective.”
Guy Ritchie speaking about Kabbalah, which is, of course, his wife Madonna’s religion of choice.
It's a Guy thing
He gave her flat caps, shooting and pints. She gave him Kabbalah, adoption and a starring role in the tabloids. As his new gangster movie opens, Guy Ritchie talks to Craig McLean about his films, Madonna's fame, and the brother-in-law's book.
Guy Ritchie Buys Madonna Two Hermes Drawings For Her 50th Birthday
Guy Ritchie bought Madonna two Hermes drawings for her 50th birthday. The "RocknRolla" director has revealed that, although the pictures were expensive, they cost nothing compared to the lavish party he threw for his wife at exclusive London nightspot Volstead to celebrate her special day earlier this month.

Radiohead's In Rainbows Album a Failure, Says U2 Manager
Was Radiohead's pay-what-you-want scheme for In Rainbows a failure? U2's manager Paul McGuinness - who knows a thing or two about making successful albums - thinks so. He told BBC NEWS that "sixty to 70% of the people who downloaded the record stole it anyway, even though it was available for free." And, furthermore, "internet monitoring company Comscore found only 38% of downloaders willingly paid, while the others who accessed Radiohead's website gave nothing."

Guy Ritchie Won't Renew Vows With Madonna
Guy Ritchie recently said the he does not plan on renewing wedding vows with wife Madonna unlike previously reported. The couple's relationship is reportedly strained after rumors of Madonna's affair with Alex Rodriquez and her true love, Kabbalah.
It probably doesn't help either that Guy has reportedly been taking his sons to the pub with him. Rocco is just 8 and David Banda
only 2, but Guy was photographed leaving a pub with Rocco at 11:00pm
and spent the next day there with the boys and their nanny.

Guy Ritchie says he and Madonna won’t renew their marriage vows
I swear it still seems like Guy Ritchie is slowly creeping his way out of his marriage. Every so often he’ll make these little Katie Holmes-like gestures of independence and you’ll think “Hey maybe he’s not totally brainwashed/doomed to die in some fiery volcano.” Okay a bit more of that example was Katie Holmes related, but you get my point.
Guy has said he and Madge won’t be renewing their wedding vows anytime soon. Apparently there was some gossip going around about that – though cons

Guy Ritchie Takes His Kids To The Pub
So Madonna is out and about on her tour and hubby Guy Ritchie has wasted no time hitting the pub - with his sons! Ritchie was spotted leaving the Punchbowl pub in Mayfair London around 10 pm with sons David and Rocco in tow. Madonna and Guy co-own the pub, which is frequented by stars such as DeNiro and Pacino.
I’m surprised Guy didn’t go straight for the Everclear to do the trick. Putting up with her fake accents is enough to drive a man to drink!

Guy Says Madonna’s Brother Is Desperate
Guy Ritchie has hit out at Madonna’s brother for writing a ‘tell-all’ book, which claims the director is homophobic. The Snatch director insists he isn’t bothered by Christopher Ciccone’s book, Life With My Sister Madonna, which made a series of allegations about the Material Girl’s private life.
But Guy denies Mr. Ciccone’s claim he is homophobic [...]
Guy Ritchie: no vow renewal, Madonna’s birthday was expensive enough
Guy Ritchie has denied rumours that he and wife Madonna have renewed their wedding vows, or are planning to in the near future - because they’ve already spent enough on celebrations this summer.
Speaking to the Mirror recently, he branded the rumours “rubbish”: think once was enough. And I’ve just paid out on a big party for her birthday.
“I bought her two original Hermes drawings of equestrian thingies - but trust me, the party was infinitely more expensive than the paintin

Madonna’s Backstage Rituals
So how does Madge get prepped to put on an amazing show? According to her rep, before the show in Cardiff, Wales, Madge enjoyed a massage and a facial.
Some other pre-show rituals?
Madonna spends an hour in hair and makeup, does vocal exercises and works out either with free weights or in some other form.
And of course, Guy Ritchie is also on hand. Madonna’s rep Liz Rosenberg tells People, “Guy understood who he was marrying and they have a whole separate life [away from the spotli
