Box Office Results: Xmas slays Twilight
Wow. Talk about a surprise this weekend. All of our predictions, plus the majority of others, had Twilight taking the box office for its second straight weekend, but the holiday comedy Four Christmases spread its joy by grossing a whopping $46.7 million. Twilight’s $39.5 wasn’t too shabby, but the star power of Reese Witherspoon and Vince Vaughn proved too much for the tweensters this time around.
Bolt had an incredible showing its second weekend, actually grossing $9 million more than it

Catherine Hardwicke Eager To Return For ‘Twilight’ Sequel - What Do You Think Of Her Plans?
Now that the smoke is finally beginning to clear on “Twilight,” its recently green-lit sequel, “New Moon” is slowly coming into view. We’ve just published a brand-new interview with director Catherine Hardwicke where she reveals the big plans she has in store, and our extensive talk with the filmmaker also yielded some additional info on her desire to shoot in Italy.
“My last movie [‘The Nativity Story’], we shot in Italy. We were just in Italy again three weeks ago for the film festival,
Craig hopes ‘Quantum of Solace’ will be beat Kidman’s
James Bond star Daniel Craig hopes that ‘Quantum of Solace’ will be a bigger box office hit than Aussie actress Nicole Kidman’s ‘Australia’.
He appeared quite positive when asked whether his new flick would turn out to be better than Kidman’s ‘Australia’, “God yes. What kind of stupid question is that?” News.com.au quoted him as saying.
But he also said that he just could not wait to see the movie, as he was a “big Baz Luhrmann fan”.
(Holiday) Weekend Box Office Estimates: Audiences Give “Christmas” Present
With Thanksgiving now in the rear view, the Christmas season officially got underway as the holiday-themed Four Christmases took the weekend crown. The Reese Witherspoon/Vince Vaughn romantic comedy earned $31.6 million (though not the respect of critics), more than enough to put it ahead of #2 Bolt - which narrowly took second over Twilight, even though the tween vampire flick has a $50+ million advantage over the Disney flick going into their third weeks, now well over the $100 million mark.
That didn
Weekend Box Office: ‘Christmases’ No. 1 Gift
Many people wanted to see Vince and Reese not enjoy the holidays.
So here’s the good news–the economy may suck, but people are apparently willing to take all that money they’re not spending on presents and use it for movie tickets. Box office was solid all-around as the big holiday movie season, with lots of star-laden movies, kicks into full swing.
Four Christmases, the Vince Vaughn/Reese Witherspoon comedy, came in at number one, surprising most people, especially me. I just thought i

New 'Twilight' Images a Snooze, Trailer Tonight (Here)
Seriously, what have a got myself into? I started covering Twilight before anyone else caught on and now I'm probably the one person regretting it more than anything. I love Catherine Hardwicke, and still have high hopes that she'll turn in a solid little thriller, but the trailer and stills released just make me gag. Today Summit released two more snoozers of pics, while also announcing that the new trailer will hit tonight via the widget inside. Let's hope for the best. TWILIGHT hits theaters November 21.

Twilight (2008) Movie Review
Okay, i have been reading these reviews and all i have been reading is negativity. I am apolled at how critical we all are of this movie. We must remember that a movie portraying a book is never as good as...but we have to at least give credit where credit is due.
Yes the scenes were rushed, Edward and Bella's love was not as descriptive as in the book but please everyone lets give credit where credit is due. Never walk into a movie that has been redone from a book and expect it t

Kristen Stewart Dotes Praise on Robert Pattinson
Doting praise on her co-star, Kristen Stewart is thankful that Robert Pattinson achieved the part of Edward in the hit movie “Twilight,” saying that she cannot imagine another actor in the role.
Kristen recently told press, “Not to put down any of the other actors who came in, because they were really good, but everyone came in playing Edward as this perfect, happy-go-lucky guy. But I got hardcore pain from Rob. It was purely just connection.”
Director's Return May Hinge on Bigger Budget for Twilight Sequel New Moon
A surprise appearance by Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke at a screening last weekend provoked squeals of excitement from fans of the movie. It was, Entertainment Weekly observes, "as if Zac Efron -- or Twilight's own Rob Pattinson, for that matter -- had just strode on stage and dropped his drawers." Yet whether or not she will be the director of New Moon remains up in the air. She has not yet officially signed on for the sequels and was reportedly sequestered with lawyers, agents and studio execut

What's Next For Twilight's Kristen Stewart?
Fans won't have to wait until Twilight sequel New Moon debuts to see Kristen Stewart on the big screen. Up next for the young star is Adventureland, a romantic comedy set in an amusement park in the 1980s, from writer/director Greg Mottola (Superbad). The movie stars Jesse Eisenberg as a college student who takes a job at Adventureland and falls for fellow co-worker Stewart. Sounds like a perfect match, considering Stewart seems to fall for men with dark secrets and Eisenberg certainly has one.

Monday Morning Box Office Report: Four Christmases Jingles All The Way
It was an all-around strong weekend at the box office, with the holiday comedy Four Christmases at the center of it all, earning an astounding $46 million, followed by another $39 mil for Twilight and $36 million for Bolt. Quantum of Solace was at #4 with $20 million, while Baz Luhrmann’s Australia debuted at a disappointing #5, although it still made a respectable $20 million. Transporter 3 was in 7th place on the charts, but it surpassed Transporter 2’s opening with an $18 million take, and Mi
Box Office: Four Christmases Wins the Holiday Weekend
I was surprised at how much I ended up enjoying Four Christmases starring Reese Witherspoon and Vince Vaughn, and maybe some of the early buzz from others who also liked it helped the holiday comedy win the Thanksgiving weekend box office this year with an estimated $46.7 million since opening Wednesday.
Meanwhile the highly anticipated Baz Luhrmann epic Australia opened at No. 5 after Quantum of Solace in fourth place, Twilight (which passed the $100 million mark this weekend) in third, and Bolt in second
“Max Payne” Director John Moore Upset Over R-Rating, Claims MPAA Gave WB a Blowjob For “Dark Knight”
A PG-13 rating can open a film up to a wider audience than an R-rating, making a big box office take just a tad more attainable. It’s not a huge mystery, then, why Max Payne director John Moore is none too pleased with the MPAA’s decision to give his upcoming film, Max Payne, an R. In a recent interview with Das Gamer, John Moore, who is apparently trying to cut the film down to qualify for a PG-13 (its original target rating) expressed some of his frustration, saying:

‘Twilight’ Stars Pay Rise For ‘New Moon’
There’s now no doubting the fact that Twilight has been a massive success. The book-to-film translation brought a wealth of fans out of the woodwork and managed to secure $70 million of takings at the box U.S. box office on its opening weekend. With releases around the world, and the obvious profits still to come from the likely DVD and Blu-ray sales, the future of the series is looking bright.
This bright future has had a few effects, already being felt throughout Hollywood. For starters, the next
‘Twilight’ Stars Get Major Pay Raise for ‘New Moon’
stars Robert Pattinson, 22, and Kristin Stewart, 18, will get huge salary boosts from the $2 million each earned for “Twilight” — reportedly $10 million more, per film, plus a nice percentage of the future movies’ box-office take.
$12 million each!? Obviously New Moon will have a much larger budget than Twilight’s relatively low $37 million budget.
