Supreme Court rejects Pickton bid for new trial
Ottawa -- The Supreme Court of Canada has rejected serial killer Robert Pickton's quest for a new trial in a unanimous ruling Friday that upheld the pig farmer's convictions for murdering six missing Vancouver women. The nine justices said that despite flaws in the trial judge's instructions to the jury, there was no miscarriage of justice that would warrant retrying the 60-year-old Pickton, who is serving a life sentence with no chance of Parole for 25 years. "Certainly, this was a long...

Thu. Jul. 29 2010 11:26 PM ET Canada's highest Court will decide Friday if Robert Pickton's six second-degree Murder convictions will stand, or if the case will have to be tried again. SL Letter of the Afternoon: Bi Enough
I've been reading your column for years. Until recently, I never really thought I would ever need to specifically ask for your advice, since I liked to think I'd absorbed enough "Savage Love" to have a decent intuition on how to run my Sex Life. But here I am. I'm a 27-year-old single Gay woman. I spent the last two weeks doing a backcountry hike with a guy I had met a few months ago. He was doing it for work (freelance travel writer), and since he didn't set off my sketch-alarm, and as I'm...

How many lovely Gay ladies have you left swooning in the wake of your new and politely charming seductive strategies? I've been waiting patiently to hear all your success stories of hot, well-mannered lovin' and contemplating how best to proceed from here. Maybe it's time for first date etiquette? Morning after etiquette, perhaps? But then I realised how long it's been...

Obama Expands FMLA to Same-Sex Parents
I may be on a bit of a roll today, but it seems like those who want to criticize the Obama Administration for not doing enough, fast enough for the LGBT community seem to conveniently overlook that this Administration has done more for the LGBT community in short time it’s existed than all prior Administrations combined. What are they doing now?
