Led Zeppelin, Robert Plant:
Led Zep to Robert Plant: In or Out
Apparently Robert Plant's old bandmates are tired of cooling their heels while he dithers around with his Americana side project. The other members of the reconstituted Led Zeppelin (John Paul Jones, Jimmy Page, and John Bonham's son Jason) have warned the singer that they may go ahead on a reunion tour without him if he doesn't make up his mind soon about whether to join them or not.
In the meantime, the band has been rehearsing with stand-in singers, and have hinted that an unnamed American vocali
Led Zeppelin To Play Coachella And/Or Bonnaroo* [Stairway To Reunion?]
How do you get Robert Plant to agree to a full-scale Led Zeppelin reunion when he's reluctant to leave his project with Alison Krauss behind just so he can play decades-old music every night and rake in a lot of cash? Apparently, you tell him the band's moving on without him.
According to England's Sun newspaper, the band was auditioning singers (hopefully none named David Coverdale) to hit the road without Plant. Perhaps chilled by the thought of being the new Steve Perry (or Jon Anderson), Plant

The Sun is reporting today that Led Zeppelin frontman Robert Plant has agreed to join the other members of Led Zeppelin for a reunion tour that will kick off sometime in 2009. After the band (bassist John Paul Jones, guitarist Jimmy Page, and drummer Jason Bonham), warned Plant that they had found someone they could use as a lead singer, and planned to tour with or without Plant, Plant decided to agree to the tour.

Initially, it was believed that singer Plant was against a full tour with the band.
However, today's report claims that Plant is now ready to join guitarist Jimmy Page, bassis

I love the GQ "Man of the Year" awards cause it's like the "Sexiest Man Alive" but, like, Tony Bennett is in the running. And indeed, there he was (heart, presumably, in San Francisco) last night at British GQ's iteration at London's Royal Opera House, along with Gordon Ramsey, Robert Plant and a bunch of other Brits. And I know it was the gents' night, but man...the distaff side was appalling. I mean, we expect a jolly train wreck from Lily Allen, but Liz Hurley? Thandie Newton? Fasten your seatbelts, it's
