Patrick Wilson Ponders ‘Watchmen’ Sequel: ‘It’s Been Talked About’
These days, it isn’t a blockbuster unless there’s talk of a sequel — especially when it comes to films based on comic books. Jon Favreau’s “Iron Man” sequels are a pretty sure bet, but what about the talk of a sequel (or possibly prequel) to one-and-done stories like “300”? Heck, could “Watchmen” become a franchise?
MTV News recently spoke to actor Patrick Wilson, who plays Nite Owl in the much-anticipated adaptation of Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons
Patrick Wilson Likes To Be “Lost”
Watchmen actor talks about the characters he enjoys playing, almost being cast as Dr. Manhattan, and the possibilities of a sequel
When the Watchmen script was sent to actor Patrick Wilson, it included a note, possible from his agency, telling him to look at the Dr. Manhattan part. But months later, after producer Deborah Snyder had seen Wilson in Little Children, he was told to look at Dan Dreiberg. There was a sense of loss in Dan and a real sadness, that you sort of saw in 'Little Children. Ev
Review: ‘Lakeview Terrace’
Samuel L. Jackson is a natural bad-ass and he convinces me every time that he’s not some you’d want to mess with. Funny thing is, he’s probably a super nice guy in real life… who knows? He’s done some work that strays slightly from this typecast and some of it I’ve really enjoyed… ‘Red Violin’ and ‘Resurrecting the Champ’ come to mind. He always goes back to those roles that we love, and I think these are the roles he is best suited for. R
Watchmen 2: Wrath Of Electric Boogaloo [Watchmen]
It's not too soon to start talking about a possible sequel to Watchmen, Zack Snyder's movie version of Alan Moore's mega-graphic novel. Okay, sure, the graphic novel has a pretty definitive ending, and Moore never wrote a sequel. But the actors' contracts commit them to a possible sequel. Star Patrick Wilson says "we've talked about it," but nobody, including Snyder, has any clue how a sequel could work. "If Alan Moore writes it, I would love to read it," he adds. (Now that's likely.) What do you think a Wa

Box Office Predictions (September 19-21)
Lakeview Terrace is the thriller featuring Samuel L. Jackson and Patrick Wilson as rivaling neighbors who engage in some vicious acts to force each other out of the town. The trailer makes this film look interesting enough to attract a nice number of the mainstream audience… but I’m skipping this film simply because of its lack of depth. Of course, I could be dead wrong, but those are just my initial reaction.
My Best Friend’s Girl is the light-hearted comedy of the weekend, featuring

Lakeview Terrace REVIEWS!
Lakeview Terrace reviews are encouraging but not great. Samuel L. Jackson, Patrick Wilson, Kerry Washington lead Lakeview Terrace which gets good reviews but not great today.
Samuel L. Jackson plays a racist Los Angeles cop who lives next door to an interracial couple - Patrick Wilson, Kerry Washington.
The movie is less than 2 hours which is consistent with review of its plot - there is none, reportedly. The movie, described as thriller, is worth seeing if you are a big SLJ fan like LALATE certainly is

'Yeah. Not Sarah Palin. I Just Play Her On TV Sometimes.' [A Call To The Bullpen]
Boomp3.comOpting to go without her trademark glasses, Emmy nominee Tina Fey still had to fight off the Sarah Palin comparisons and questions while leaving LAX baggage claim. Even the limo driver assumed that she was the wildly popular vice presidential candidate. Fey explained that she just played the Alaskan air huntress in a sketch and that she was becoming a bit tired of the comparisons. “She hunts moose and doesn’t know a thing about password protection," Fey said. "I made Saturday Night Live watcha
Ellen Page ‘feels bad’ for young stars who “get into drugs”
Juno wonder Ellen Page says she “really feels bad” for other young stars who “get into drugs”.
The actress - who came from nowhere to becoming a favorite for the best actress Oscar - says she feels real “compassion” for celebrities who go off the rails. And she believes rather than criticizing the celebrities, people should instead be looking to help them by asking why they are turning to booze and drugs.
“I feel really bad for those individuals and a lot of compassion,” Page, 21, said
Margaret Cho on Sarah Palin... Literally ['Cho Enough]
Though financial doom has pushed superstar vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin off the front page of the news for now, celebrities (who regard the economy as little more than a cute diversion for the poor) are still as gripped with Palin-mania as ever. Now, hot on the heels of stars like Matt Damon, Lindsay Lohan, and Brooke Hogan, it's Margaret Cho's turn to opine on the veep Choice, and though she's spilled copious amount of e-ink on her Myspace blog to lobby against the Republican ticket, today found
Hacker From That Times Story On Palin Emails: "i wish they'd done it properly" [Hackers]
Perhaps yesterday's Sarah Palin email hack reminded you of that brilliant engrossing story the New York Times ran back in July about 4chan, the juvenile message board community of hackers, trolls and sundry internet misanthropes that pulled it off? The writer hung out with that molestation victim who wrote the nasty fake blog about that thirteen-year-old MySpace hoax suicide case and got his identity stolen by a hacker with a Rolls Royce named Weev. Well, we found the writer, Matt Schwartz*, on the internet
Review: ‘Smart People’ on DVD
‘Smart People’ is a movie that takes on the lives of some truly gifted and intelligent people who struggle with the skills of living daily life in the real world. Unlike other well-made but less realistic movies such as ‘Good Will Hunting’, this film from Noam Murrow, written by Mark Poirier, delves beneath the sharp-tongued exteriors of the family Wetherhold and exposes their most delicate weakness, which is how to deal with life as it truly is… imperfect. While college profes
