Obama camp suggests Palin has distorted record
AP - The question of whether Sarah Palin has ever been to Iraq pushed Obama aides Saturday to accuse the McCain campaign of outright lies, distortions and distractions to the American people.
Since Republican presidential nominee John McCain tapped the Alaska governor to be his running mate on Aug. 29, questions about her experience have been fueled by her relatively brief tenure in office, as well as a dearth of foreign travel.
Palin made a well-documented trip to Kuwait and Germany last year to visit U.

According to the New York Times, McCain has found himself under particularly heavy fire for a pair of headline-grabbing attacks.

Republican presidential nominee John McCain has criticized British Prime Minister Gordon Brown for endorsing Barack Obama in a magazine article. According to The Telegraph, the McCain Campaign has questioned Brown’s lavish praise of Obama’s economic policies.
The paper predicts that this endorsement could open a serious rift between the Republicans and the British Government, should the former enter the White House after November 4, 2008. According to the article, Brown’s endorsement was

Add Pamela Anderson to the growing list of celebrities who hate Sarah Palin. The star of E!’s Pam: Girl on the Loose criticised the Republican vice-presidential candidate during a red carpet interview at a Toronto rally to raise awareness for animal cruelty earlier this week.
“I can’t stand her. She can suck it!” Pamela retorted when asked her about her views on the conservative Alaska governor, known for her abortion, same-sex marriage, and capital punishment.

Saturday Night Live: Season Premiere with Michael Phelps, Live Thoughts
Tonight Saturday Night Live returns for yet another season. The long-running sketch comedy series is starting with a risky choice for host, Olympian Michael Phelps. While he certainly is one of the most recognizable faces of the summer, athletes rarely make great hosts for the sake of comedy. But with the presidential election heating up, Saturday Night Live has more than enough material some hilarious entertainment. Sarah Palin alone should provide fodder for several sketches.

Can We Stop With the 'AP In the Tank For McCain' Thing? [Bias]
Ron Fournier, the new Associated Press Washington Bureau Chief? Definitely a tool, possibly a Republican. Some of the AP campaign coverage this season? Annoying at best, misleading at worst. But recently liberals (led by the usually serious Talking Points Memo) have all but declared the Associated Press an arm of the John McCain communications office. Well we can seek out and link to only the AP dispatches that fit our preferred spin too, guys!
