New Star Trek TV Spot!
Here I am trying to enjoy the KNICKS vs MAGIC baskeball game when my email pops open to say a new cool ass TV Spot for J.J. Abrams' "Star Trek" movie starring Chris Pine, Karl Urban, Zachary Quinto, Simon Pegg, and Eric Bana is online!
Still not a Trekkie but this is surely one of my most anticapatied films I really want to see.
The film is due out May 8th 2009, so that means bye bye Wolverine on your first week of opening. LOL
From director J.J. Abrams ("Mission: Impossible III,"...

Fan Created Star Trek Posters?
ScreenWeek has some cool, most likely fan created, posters for JJ Abrams ‘ Star Trek . The posters make use of some previously released character images and trailer shots, which is why I’m pretty sure they are fan created photoshops. The tagline “The Future Begins” was a previous working title for the film, and I haven’t seen it used on any of the marketing materials yet. I could be wrong.

Brand new onesheet for J.J. Abrams' "Star Trek" has hit the web.

Supposedly Fan-Made Star Trek Posters Actually Genuine
Recently there were three new posters released for J.J. Abrams’ upcoming Star Trek that were thought to be fan-made. Since they use previously seen imagery from other posters, images and trailers, it was assumed that they were Photoshop jobs, albeit from someone with skills. And looking at them myself that was my first thought, but something changed my mind.

OMG: J.J. Abrams’ Star Trek to be Influenced by Star Wars!
Ever since the new Star Trek movie was moved from Christmas 2008 to May 2009, we haven’t heard much about it outside of a few random comments from the Hollywood elite (ie. Kevin Smith) who were granted a top secret sneak peek. I guess that’s probably a good thing, since too much hype too early on can definitely hurt a movie. However, recently the writers of Star Trek, Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman, have been making the P.R. rounds in order to help promote their new TV series Fringe and the movi
Zachary Quinto To Record ‘Star Trek’ Audiobook
It's being reported that Spock himself, Zachary Quinto will lend his voice to the reading of the novelization of JJ Abrams upcoming reinvention of Star Trek for the recording of the audio book.
The book will be written by Alan Dean Foster, who isn't new to the novelization game, not in the least. Foster was a ghost writer on the adaptation of the Star Wars movie, and he wrote a Sequel to Star Wars called Splinter of a Mind's Eye. Other notable novelizations he's penned include The Thing,...

Star Trek: TNG Cast to Appear on Family Guy!!!!
Ohhhhhhhh this makes me SO HAPPY. You all know what a (not-so-closeted) Trekkie I am, and no series is closer to my heart than The Next Generation . Remember the time that Wil Wheaton signed my boobs? And then we BOTH Twittered about it? (Pics are here .) That was the happiest day of my life. (Apologies in advance to Wil’s wife.)

Which Summer Movies Did The Writers' Strike Hit Hardest? [Movies]
Last year, Hollywood's writers went on strike for 14 weeks, and genre television took tremendous damage as a result. But movies didn't emerge unscathed, either — we just won't see the fallout until this year. When the studios decided to wait out the striking writers, they put a lot of big genre TV shows in jeopardy. Some emerged almost unscathed — Lost was able to go back and finish its fourth season — but several others took major damage. For example, Heroes had to end its second season early, leaving
"Obama's Blackberry Is His Real Key to the X-Files Treasury" [Ufos]
While you're all waiting for news about Obama's stimulus plan, you're forgetting the most important thing the president should be doing. Formulating a UFO policy. Luckily, UFO experts have some advice for him.You may remember UFO expert Jeff Peckman from his lobbying efforts to get an Extraterrestrial Affairs Commission created in Denver. At the height of his campaign, he promised journalists he would reveal absolute proof of the existence of aliens - via a video (now much parodied online) of an alien sort

Venturing into the Star Trek Universe with Writers Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman
Looking ahead to next summer, there is an exciting line-up of geek-driven films, from Wolverine to Transformers to Terminator to Harry Potter to Star Trek. While I've been keeping my eye on all of them, Star Trek is one that I'm particularly interested in seeing. As a big fan of "The Next Generation" series and J.J. Abrams (separately), I've been tremendously excited to see what Abrams has done with such a beloved franchise. Although there are still quite a few more months left, and we still haven't even se
