Happy Halloween From ‘The View’
The ladies on The View are giving us a sneak preview of tomorrow’s Halloween episode where they each dress up as one of our late former Presidents. Now, I’m not a huge fan of The View in general but I gotta say that I’m quite impressed with their Halloween ingenuity this year. Here [...]

It's a 'Red, White and 'View'' Halloween scene
How's this View? It's tomorrow's Halloween show featuring The Viewsters dressed as former Presidents of the United States. From the left: Whoopi Goldberg is Franklin D. Roosevelt or "Whoop-D-R;" Joy Behar is rough rider Theodore Roosevelt; Sherri Shepherd is Abraham Lincoln on a copper penny (Why the penny part? We don't know.); Elisabeth Hasselbeck is Ronald Reagan (holding a jar of jellybeans) and Barbara Walters is, of course, George Washington.
Tomorrow, we'll have Martha Stewart's costume,

The Passion of Elisabeth Hasselbeck: A Timeline
Who knew that one of our most impassioned political orators would come from daytime TV?
Love her or hate her (see comments section below), Elisabeth Hasselbeck, co-host of Barbara Walters' The View (ABC, check local listings), has used her daily airtime to speak at length about her support of Sen. John McCain for president. Her politico-wonk-talk has been so prevalent, it even started several rumors that she might ditch Walters & Co. for a job at the Fox News Channel. (Not true, she says.) At various tim
The View October 6th Hot Topics (Video)
ABC has posted some video clips of the hot topics from The View from today, October 6th. The first video discusses the Vice Presidential Debate and the second involves the latest attacks on Barack Obama and John McCain, where Whoopi Goldberg tells Elisabeth Hasselbeck that she is “spreading crap” about Obama.

ELISABETH HASSELBECK TRIES TO SMEAR OBAMA
While both John McCain and Barack Obama are seeing a resurgence of past scandals, resident Republican Elisabeth Hasselbeck tried to say that there was a difference between their controversies. She kept shouting that McCain had been completely cleared of any wrongdoing, while claiming that we still don’t know who Obama is, adding that his friendships are suspicious.
The rest of the gals called her out on it, saying that Obama’s left-wing radicalist cohort Bill Ayres hadn’t done anything d
The View October 9th Recap: Angela Bassett
Today on The View, it was the four main hosts and no Barbara Walters. Whoopi Goldberg is sick, so she gave each of the co-hosts some hand cleanser.
Elisabeth Hasselbeck said that election-itis is going around. Whoopi said that people are getting political fatigue. They showed a video of a man introducing Joe Biden at a rally and accidentally calling him “John McCain.” Elisabeth said that we can make it because we are “only one menstrual cycle away” from the election. Joy said
Elisabeth Takes Terrifying Political View
Elisabeth Hasselbeck absolutely, positively thinks Sarah Palin's right in bringing up Barack Obama's previous associations with William Ayers, a reformed member of "domestic terrorist" group Weather Underground.
Whoopi makes a great point - if Obama's guilty of "associating with terrorists," then so has the entire population of the University of Illinois at Chicago, where Ayers teaches.

The View Gets Presidential for Halloween
I can't imagine how boring "The View" is going to be in a week, when there's nothing more to say about politics. At least for another 6 months, when they start campaigning for 2012. I love watching the Hot Topics on The View. It's like political mud wrestling every day. This time next week it's gonna be Snore Central.
For Halloween on Friday, the girls at The View are dressing up as former Presidents of the United States. No, not the music group...actual presidents. Here's a pr

Elisabeth Hasselbeck Gets Most Death Threats on The View
WHO ME?
YES, YOU.
COULDN'T BE.
THEN WHO?
Elisabeth Hasselbeck gets more death threats than anyone else on "The View," Whoopi Goldberg revealed Monday night at Cooper Union. Whoopi - part of a panel discussion on Art and Educational Justice hosted by the Stella Adler Studio with Rosie Perez, Phylicia Rashad and Anna Deavere Smith - said of her conservative co-host: "Politically we could not be more opposite, but I respect her tr
We Didn't Start The View Fire
Does it strike anyone else as a bit odd that the most spirited political discussion these days is coming for those five overly percolated women on The View? Sure, Bab's show has always been fun to watch, in that "what would Sex and the City be like if they were all old and didn't like each other and not everyone was white" sort of way, but never before this election show actually contained something resembling a serious political discourse that is being as closely monitered in the papes
Brand New AUSTRALIA Poster
I’m in Ohio right now, and the only thing I don’t like being in the east coast is the time difference, my body is not adjusting very well. Cross your finger so that I won’t fall sick. While I’m trying to rest a bit, here’s the new poster, via traileraddict, of the upcoming epic drama AUSTRALIA (click on the image to enlarge) starring two Aussie pride and joy, Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman. Could this be in the same caliber as the classic film Casablanca?

Men Must Always Be Watchful
Newish one-sheets for a pair of major year-end releases came through yesterday -- the Australian-market poster for Baz Luhrman's Australia (which opens in Oz on Thursday, 11.13, according to the IMDB, preceding its Wednesday,11.26 U.S. release by 13 days) and a fresh image -- less communal, emphasis on Daniel Craig's studliness -- for Ed Zwick's Defiance (Paramount Vantage , 12.12). The latter was exclusively previewed late yesterday afternoon by Kris Tapley's In Contention.
