The /Filmcast: After Dark - Ep. 27 (GUEST: Seth Gordon)
The /Filmcast: After Dark is a recording of what happens right after The /Filmcast is over, when the kids have gone to bed and the guys feel free to speak whatever is on their minds. In other words, it’s the leftover and disorganized ramblings, mindfarts, and brain diarrhea from The /Filmcast, all in one convenient audio file. In this episode, Dave, Peter, Devindra, and Adam are joined by special guest director Seth Gordon to chat about The King of Kong, Four Christmases, and the art of filmmaking. Thanks

Vince Vaughn, Nicole Kidman Share Their Turkey in Hollywood Charity Tradition [Defamer Attractions]
Welcome back to a special holiday edition of Defamer Attractions, your weekly guide to everything new, noteworthy and/or stillborn at the movies. And this Thanksgiving, we're grateful for a slate of Wednesday releases granting us a reprieve from another day of Twilight chatter. Not that any of them will surmount last week's blockbuster, but we have a quick and dirty forecast for long weekend's hits, sleepers and subplots, including a glimpse at the biggest disappointment and underdog to come. As always, our
Twilight beats Vince Vaughn & Reese Witherspoon in Four Christmases at b.o.
"It's too soon to call the weekend movie wise based just on Wednesday's grosses. But the expected frontrunner, Four Christmases, came in at #2 with $6 million. Twilight was #1 with $8 million. The surprise is that Australia was #7.

'Christmases' drains batteries
"Four Christmases" hurls towering Vince Vaughn at tiny Reese Witherspoon and a lot of Oscar winners at a lightweight farce. This comedy about a happy couple made miserable by having to visit four divorced parents begins with a bang but soon settles into maudlin sentiment.
Brad (Vaughn) and Kate (Witherspoon) are happy unmarrieds in San Francisco who fib to family every holiday season, making up stories about "inoculating babies in Burma" so that no one can gripe when they skip Christmas dinner
Review: Four Christmases
Last November, Warner Bros. released Fred Claus, a Christmas-set comedy pairing up lead Vince Vaughn with Rachel Weisz.
This November, New Line released Four Christmases, a Christmas-set comedy pairing up lead Vince Vaughn with Reese Witherspoon.
Mere coincidence, you might ask, despite the fact that New Line is owned by Warner Brothers, not to mention the shared initials of both the titles and the actresses playing the love interests? Perhaps, but happenstance loses my vote when the best one can say for

'Twilight' Beats Wednesday Opening of 'Four Christmases' To Lead Thanksgiving Box Office; 'Australia' Debuts Distant #7
THURSDAY EARLY AM: For this 5-day Thanksgiving holiday, it looks like Twilight and female tweens and teens will go together like turkey and pumpkin pie. It's too soon to call the weekend movie-wise based just on Wednesday's grosses. But the expected frontrunner, New Line/Warner Bros' sour Four Christmases, came in only No. 2 with $6M from 3,310 theaters behind $8M from 3,419 venues for Summit Entertainment's no-sex, no-violence, no-stars vampire romance that should spend another weekend No. 1. "All tho

In Theaters This Week: Nov. 26, 2008
I love the holidays, because we don’t have to wait until Friday for the new movies to be released. They’re usually in theaters on Wednesday, which is ultra-cool. Here’s what’s new this week:
Four Christmases. Grounded by bad weather, Reese Witherspoon and Vince Vaughn end up in their worst nightmare - spending the holidays with their families. I love both of these actors, so even though I’ve heard not-all-good reviews of this movie, I’ll definitely be seeing it. [Gecko
An Arbitrary Guide To This (Holiday) Weekend’s New Releases
It’s not quite as crowded as last year’s Thanksgiving weekend, but between four new releases and a strong slate of holdovers, there should be something for everyone on one of the biggest movie-going weekends this side of the summer.
For action fans, there’s Transporter 3 (assuming you’ve already seen Quantum of Solace), which should make for an entertaining if derivative shoot ‘em up. I’d probably be more excited to see this if it didn’t sound so much like Crank (s

Favreau, Vaughn reunite for 'Retreat'
LOS ANGELES, Sept. 22 (UPI) -- Hollywood actor and filmmaker Jon Favreau reportedly is reuniting with his "Swingers" co-star Vince Vaughn for the new big-screen comedy "Couples Retreat."
Fearless Forecast - Reese and Vince vs. The Vampires
As we always do on holiday weekends, we give you the
full four- or five-day estimate rather than one that covers Friday - Sunday and
then another one for the grand total. It's too many numbers. So, we've got five
days this week and really six movies that Will make a significant amount of
money over that time.
Before we get to the new releases, let us remind you of
the movies already in theaters;
Twilight,
Bolt, and
Quantum of Solace should all perform well over

Four Christmases On Thanksgiving
During this year of high profile celebrity divorces (e.g., Christie Brinkley, Madonna, and Paul McCartney), today’s release of Four Christmases is a fitting collision between pop culture and law. Starring Reese Witherspoon and Vince Vaughn, Four Christmases follows couple struggling to visit all four of their divorced parents on Christmas Day. Enjoy!

WANT TO FIND A PARTNER? DATE ANISTON FIRST
After she divorced Brad Pitt, he found eternal love with Angelina Jolie. Then when she parted ways with model Paul Sculfor, fellow actress Cameron Diaz was there to swoop him up and rumour has it they’re talking marriage.
Well, now Vince Vaughn is only the latest ex of the actess who has experienced the post-Aniston phenomenon. The 38-year-old star was seen making a grocery run with his own latest squeeze.

Box Office: Transporting Christmas to Australia
The vampire romance Twilight kicked serious butt with the fifth biggest November opening in history. Last week's other newbie, Bolt, took a somewhat disappointing third place with Quantam of Solace outselling the Disney feature by a mere half million. Here's the top five:
1. Twilight: $69.6 million
2. Quantum of Solace: $26.7 million
3. Bolt: $26.2 million
4. Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa: $15.6 million
5. Role Models: $7.3 million

Reese: Vince is a Child!
She’s Type A, and he’s old school — no wonder Reese Witherspoon and Vince Vaughn didn’t get along while filming their holiday comedy, Four Christmases.
According to a friend, Reese is dreading the movie’s promotional tour with Vince, whom she describes as “the biggest child I’ve ever met!”
“Promoting a movie involves long hours, and she’ll have to spend a lot of time with someone who gets under her skin,” the pal tells OK!.

Here's a madcap idea
Roger Ebert: So here's the pitch, boss. "Four Christmases." We star Reese Witherspoon and Vince Vaughn as a happily unmarried couple whose parents are divorced and remarried, and since nobody is talking to one another, they have to visit all four households on Christmas. Why don't they just invite everybody...

VIDEO: Reese Witherspoon Drops By the Late Show
Reese Witherspoon recently dropped by the ‘Late show’ with David Letterman to discuss her new movie “Four Christmases” which will be out in cinemas soon.
Reese also recently cleared up those rumors about some tension between her and fellow ‘Four Christmases’ co-star Vince Vaughn.
“Every co-star I ever work with I’m either having an affair with him, I’m about to get married with him, or having a baby or we absolutely cannot stand each other,” Reese explained to
Video: Reese Witherspoon on David Letterman
Reese Witherspoon donned a very cute little black dress for her appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman last night. With such delicate, pale make-up, she looks as young as she did when she did Election back in the day, nine years ago.
They chat Oscars, the sewers in Paris and what happens when a boy chicken and a girl chicken love each other very much…
They also finally mention her new film Four Christmases but even with a clip, it seems to be an aside.
