Obama has suffered a little more incoming in a couple of key battleground states however. Biden & Palin Kicked Obama & McCain's Ratings Ass!
According to preliminary reports, the VP debates between Joe Biden and Sarah Palin were up 33% from last week's Prez debate between Barack Obama and John McCain. These are early reports and could change. Six major markets (including politically minded LA and Miami) weren't included in these early reports. The "power" of Palin! [Image via AP Photo.]

Palin, Biden both liars say Obama, McCain
It’s kind of like having to behave when your parents are around.  You’re fuming inside at your brother or sister and you’re waiting patiently for your parents to walk out of the room.  And the moment they do — BAM! Last night, the candidates behaved.  They were gracious.  From Sarah Palin’s handshake with Joe Biden where she asked, “Hey, can I call you Joe?” To Biden saying that he “loved” John McCain.  And the many heartfelt moments mixed in where th

Obama Spends $350K On Ads In Omaha, Versus McCain's Zero
It is an unlikely scenario, but one the Obama campaign has been prepping for. If the Democratic Senator wins every state won by John Kerry in the 2004 election, plus Iowa, New Mexico and Nevada, he and John McCain would be tied at 269 electoral votes. Obama, however, has an ace in the hole. His campaign...Full Article @ huffington post Comment Share Email Post Your Comment say something interesting

Palin/Biden Showdown!
Democrat Joe Biden and Republican Sarah Palin went head to head in their first and only vice presidential debate in St. Louis last night, clashing on the economy, energy issues and foreign policy. The candidates greet each other warmly at the start of the highly anticipated showdown. It was the first time both candidates had met. "Hey, can I call you Joe?" Palin asked as they were introduced. "Governor, it really was a pleasure getting to meet you," Biden said as the debate wrapped up. The debate format s

Sarah Palin is gosh-darn adorable a don'tcha know
Last night the Vice Presidential Debate took place between Republican Governor Sarah Palin and Democratic Senator Joe Biden. If you don't know who these people are, please engage in activities with a high risk of infertility. Anyway, consider this post an open thread/romper room to get your politics on and sound off about the debate. In the meantime, I'll be trying to salvage my eardrums which feel like they've been raped by Marge Gunderson from Fargo. Oh, and who do I think won? How about I answer a com

The New Yorker Endorses Fist Bumping Terrorist
Remember that New Yorker cover that portraying Barack and Michelle Obama as fist-bumping terrorists and everyone was like, "Racists!!" and The New Yorker was like, "You're all hella dumb?" Well, would real racists come out and officially support Obama with a 4,214 word editorial about why he is the best and our current government and John McCain are the worst? "Didn't think so (please god stop calling us racists):" It is perfectly legitimate to call attention, as

Montag vs. Montag: The Presidential Election
Heidi Montag’s love for John McCain is not a family affair. Montag's sister, Holly, says she's rooting for Barack Obama. "I'm totally for Obama," Holly said at last night's anniversary party for One Sunset restaurant in L.A. "Heidi's McCain, but I'm for Obama…I loved Obama before he was even running." The sisters do get into political face-offs. "I actually studied political science, so we definitely have a lot of conversations about it," Holly said. "But I'm always right." Spoken like a tru

THE RESURRECTION OF SARAH PALIN
Get this: Sarah Palin now claims that she didn’t have enough time to get “her ideas” across in last night’s debate — that the rules in this case worked against her. Wow. I’ll get to that in a minute. But, even more remarkably, she also blames Katie Couric for “clobbering” her during Palin’s embarrassing CBS interview which aired this week. Palin’s now spinning like it was Couric’s fault for the fact that she was unable to answer questio

Spinning St. Louis: McCain Supporters Loved Palin Performance, Debate Format
At the Republican National Convention in St. Paul, Rudy Giuliani set the tone for Governor Sarah Palin and the sharp, well-delivered attack speech that brought her to national prominence. Then, last night, after a poor stretch for Palin highlighted by embarrassing interview performances, Giuliani was back to confidently herald Palin’s return to form. “I mean, this was a fabulous performance,” said Giuliani, walking at a two-step-per-minute rate with his wife, Judith, in a frenzied scrum of reporters i

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY BAM & MICHELLE!!
“I’ve got this whole romantic dinner planned. I think it should go pretty well. That’s my hope any ways. I’ve got a gift all picked out.” Well, it had better be a good one! Bam recently misstated the number of years he and Michelle had been married.  At a rally this week Barack talked about the joys of being married for 15 years… An hour of so later Michelle’s spokesperson released a statement that said: “Sixteen.” One man. One woman. Married.

Obama Remains Top Candidate for Generation iPhone
Yikes, last week people were actually starting to believe John McCain was web-savvy, if indeed his campaign did buy the domain for VotefortheMilf.com. Concurrently, Barack Obama was losing ground with the web ads, and made an egregious decision to purchase an entire channel's worth of airtime for his campaign. But! Obama is back on track with being the #2 candidate for the Internet (behind Ron Paul) with this nifty iPhone application promoting his campaign: The free application will… organize

The Sarah Palin Show - Highest Rated Debate Since 1992
Thursday’s highly anticipated face-off between Alaska governor Sarah Palin and Delaware senator Joe Biden may be the most-watched debate in 16 years. Last night’s event totaled a 45.0 overnight meter-market household rating, according to Nielsen Media Research. That’s 42% higher than Friday’s presidential debate between top-of-the-ticket contenders John McCain and Barack Obama, which scored a collective 31.6 rating among broadcast and cable networks. It’s also a stunning 60%

Hillary Clinton: Palin "Composed, Effective" During Debate
Hillary Clinton is weighing in on Thursday's vice presidential debate. In a phone interview Friday on Ryan Seacrest's KIIS-FM radio show, she said, "[Democratic Sen.] Joe Biden was great. He put forward a flawless performance. I, like probably everybody else watching, was so moved by the authentic grief that caught in his throat when he talked about his own personal experience." (During the debate, Biden got choked up while recalling a car accident that killed his wife and daughter and injured his sons.)

My Husband almost cried over Sarah Palin
Trust me, it wasn't tears of joy! When he came back from dinner last night they replayed the debate. He screamed, yelled, and moaned at the tv. He didn't understand how anyone could listen to a woman who REFUSED to answer the questions and just babble on and on about the things she was brainwashed in the last few weeks and actually think she did a good job! "She is the second coming of Bush, Adrianne. We must leave this country if she gets in office" he told me. I completely agree! It floors me that people
