Barack Obama doesn’t want Lindsay’s help
After Lindsay Lohan spoke out against Sarah Palin, and for Barack Obama, word has it that she wanted to pitch in to help Obama make it to the White House. That she offered to host a series of events to appeal to young voters.
Sounds great, right? I mean, go Lindsay!! But apparently the Obama-Biden campaign wasn’t keen on the idea. An inside source says Lindsay ”is not exactly the kind of high-profile star who would be a positive for us.”
They gave Lindsay a “thanks, but no thanks&
Barack Obama Graciously Turns Down Lindsay Lohan's Offer of Support [Politics]
Actress Lindsay Lohan, so politically outspoken these days, recently lobbied some criticism, once again on her MySpace page, against Sarah Palin—the Alaskan warrior poet who, just in the nick of time, stopped a confused John McCain from wandering into a cave full of bears and was named his Vice Presidential running mate as thanks. She said that Palin hates gays ("media-obsessed homophobe!") and that that is bad. And now she wants to join the cause and drum up support for Barack Obama! Trouble is, O

Barack Obama Turns Down Lindsay Lohan, McCain Says Why
Earlier today the Chicago Sun Times reported that Lindsay Lohan offered to host a series of events to appeal to young voters for Obama and his camp turned her down.
Now, the McCain camp is slamming Obama for doing so.
“So let me get this straight,” said Tucker Bounds, a spokesman for the McCain campaign. “They turned away Lindsay Lohan, but Barack Obama has friends like unrepentant terrorist Bill Ayers and convicted felon Tony Rezko? Maybe LiLo is just too upstanding for Barack Obama.&

Obama Moments: Hip-Hop Artists & Political Figures Reflect
On a nippy February morning in Springfield, Illinois, a man named Barack Obama announced his candidacy for the presidency of the United States. The country collectively yawned, the media snickered, conservatives cracked jokes, liberals worried that he was just overcrowding an already packed field primary field, and Black America smiled, but rolled back over in the bed, back into the covers, believing that nothing substantial would ever come of it.Because that's the way it's always been, and that's the way i

Obama, McCain: Polls show a true battle
Forgot those national polls that portray a dead heat in the contest between Democrat Barack Obama and Republican John McCain. Polls in some of the most heavily contested states are showing the same thing.
CNN and Opinion Research are out with a new poll in five hot states which mirrors what a bipartisan George Washington University Poll of several battleground states showed this week: A race within the margins of error.
In Florida: 48 percent of registered voters surveyed favoring Obama, 48 percent Mc

A Daily Show Addition- Rob Corddry's Wife Is Expecting
Rob Corddry, political correspondent for the Daily Show, isn't just waiting to see the outcome of the election in November. He is expecting changes in his own house. He and his wife are expecting their second daughter in November, and they are letting their two year old name her. Just kidding, could you imagine what she would want to name her? Rob said she is pretty set on either Freeka or Laurie Berkner. At least that's better than what he wanted to name her. He said that they may go wit

Lindsay Lohan's Offer To Help Barack Obama Campaign Reportedly Turned Down
With the daily sniping and backstabbing, the presidential campaign is starting to look like a remake of "Mean Girls." And, wouldn't you know it, that movie's star, Lindsay Lohan, is in the middle of the latest catfight.
According to Chicago Sun-Times gossip columnist Bill Zwecker, Lohan was interested in becoming "very involved" in the campaign of Democratic presidential candidate Senator Barack Obama and his running mate, Senator Joe Biden.
In addition to recently blogging about her distaste for Republic
Obama Camp Says Go Away to Lindsay Lohan
After going off on Sarah Palin and Republicans, Lindsay Lohan offered to host some events for young Democratic voters. And since Barack Obama actually wants to win, he quickly put a stop to that.
Chicago Sun-Times says:
A top source in the Barack Obama team tells me the actress ''is not exactly the kind of high-profile star who would be a positive for us.''
Given Lohan's past problems, plus ongoing brushes with controversy, I've learned the campaign quietly told the actress ''thanks, but no thank

Obama campaign loves Hollywood, but Lindsay Lohan
Barack Obama is happy to hob-nob with Hollywood elite such as Barbra Streisand, Steven Spielberg and Leonardo DiCaprio. But he apparently draws the line with gossip-page fodder such as Lindsay Lohan, according to the Chicago-Sun Times.Columnist Bill Zwecker wrote Wednesday that a source in Obama's campaign told him that Lohan, whose career took a tumble - then a stumble - last year after a DUI arrest and numerous unflattering paparazzi pictures, was looking to help the Democratic nominee for President's camp

Is Palin Falling Into the Obama Trap?
It wasn’t long ago that all sorts of voices on the right, not to mention from John McCain’s campaign itself, were shrieking about the media’s disproportionate coverage of the two major presidential candidates.
It was an utterly disingenuous ploy. Yes, the press was devoting vastly more ink and air-time to Barack Obama than John McCain, but they were merely feeding the public’s appetite: The guy with the fresh face attracts curiosity, which translates into big audiences and newsstand sales. Some of

The Unveiling of “Michelle Obama’s Makeover For America”
Just when I was wondering where is Michelle Obama when Barack needs her the most, a controversial bust designed in the likeness of Michelle Obama was unveiled yesterday in NYC.
On his website, the artist, Daniel Edwards, described his artwork as
an accessorized mannequin bust of Obama that foregoes the conventional pearl necklace, and provides for her a “signature look” to take to Washington. “The goal is to create a look for Michelle Obama that eliminates excessive comparisons to Jackie
