Nights at Rodanthe Movie Review
Movie review of Nights at Rodanthe a movie based on the novel by Nicholas Sparks
EUR FILM REVIEW: Nights in Rodanthe
*Besides J.K. Rowling, Nicholas Sparks is the only contemporary novelist to have a book remain on the New York Times best seller lists for longer than a year.
While Ms. Rowling has been publishing her phenomenally-successful series of fanciful Harry Potter childrenâs tales, Sparks made his fortune by cranking out over a dozen romantic tearjerkers, set mostly in the South, each punctuated with rabbit-out-of-the-hat plot twists designed to tug on his readersâ heartstrings.
Nights in Rodanthe: Film Review

Weekend Box Office: 'Eagle Eye' Relieves the Boredom
Not a lot of people liked Eagle Eye (I thought it wasn't bad, myself), but at least it broke up the box office monotony a bit. Its $29.2 million finish is the highest weekend gross for any movie since the first weekend in August (The Dark Knight's third week at the top). A combination of strong marketing and Shia LaBeouf's draw probably did the trick for the film, which had a slew of bad reviews to overcome.
The Nicholas Sparks weeper Nights in Rodanthe took in $13.6 million for second place. That is actu

When Sparks Fly - FilmStew.com
With a fourth Hollywood adaptation hitting screens this past weekend and
a fifth on the way in 2009, author Nicholas Sparks appears set to add two
more critically panned and commercially successful films to his name.

Some books are difficult to adapt for the screen because they have too
great a scope; others use neo-postmodern and experimental techniques that
simply cannot be done justice; and others still rely on a narrative that is

Screenwriter Ann Peacock will pen the big-screen adaptation of John Grishamâs novel âThe Partner,â according to the Hollywood Reporter.
The trade says the film centers on a disillusioned lawyer who steals $90 million from his law firm, stages his own death and successfully disappears for several years. What at first seems to be a brilliant white-collar crime is further complicated by a murder charge.
The project will be produced by Robert Chartoff, whose credits include all the âRockyâ flicks,
