Gambit: Cajun Thief By Day, 90s Go-Go Dancer By Night [X-Men Origins: Wolverine]
Why is Gambit dressed like a 90s stripper? Empire Magazine released a bunch of new X-Men Origins: Wolverine stills, and we got a closer look at Taylor Kitsch as the card dealing, explosion-causing, mutant Gambit. While I agree with this casting, I can't help but draw attention to the terrible wardrobe choice. Where does one even go to find a silky purple button-down shirt like that? Where is his trench coat? Someone give him a coat, and get him out of that velour vest thing. Yes, I know that Origins

First Look at Gambit in ‘Wolverine’
This is the first image of the much anticipated introduction of Gambit to the X-Men franchise played by Taylor Kitsch. This is taken from the upcoming film X-Men Origins: Wolverine.  Gambit first appeared in Uncanny X-Men #266 in August 1990. Created by writer Chris Claremont and artists Jim Lee and Mike Collins, Gambit is skilled in card throwing, hand-to-hand combat, the use of a b?, and possesses the ability to manipulate kinetic energy. A professional thief and self described ladies man, the characte

More Fresh Pictures From 'X-Men Origins: Wolverine'
Following the outing of Taylor Kitsch's Gambit photo earlier, a series of "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" stills has been found. Released by the 20th Century Fox, the photos focus on the film's two main characters, Hugh Jackman's Logan and Liev Schreiber's Victor Creed. Three of the images put both on a scene, while the rest highlight on the action Logan is facing. One of the pictures that display both Logan and Creed together gives out the time the two with a band of World War II soldier storming in on a beac

First Look: Taylor Kitsch As Gambit In “Wolverine”
Empire Magazine’s January issue has the first official look at Taylor Kitsch’s Gambit in the upcoming Wolverine origin flick. It’s not exactly action-packed, but a genuine production still of the card-tossing Cajun ought to tide you over until we finally get a trailer for the movie attached to The Day the Earth Stood Still in two weeks. Plus, it sure beats more pictures of Hugh Jackman as Wolverine that might as well have been recycled straight from the X-Men 3 press tour. Related Posts:

Hugh Jackman as ‘Wolverine’ on Empire Cover
Along with gracing the cover with claws and mutton chops, Jackman gives some insight as to what fans can expect from the X-Men prequel: “There’s a scene in the first X-Men movie, where Wolverine’s introduced in a bar, fighting in a cage, and you felt that he did this every night of his life. If this movie is successful, you should feel that this guy can walk straight off the end of this film and into that bar.”  Jackman isn’t the only one talking for the cover article. The magazine

FOX "Almost Fired" Wolverine Director
Earlier reports of friction between director Gavin Hood and the studio have now been backed up. Shocking news has come in that the X-Men Origins: Wolverine helmer nearly got the axe from FOX until Super-director Richard Donner smoothed things over. This from Variety... "Wolverine helmer Gavin Hood (pictured above) was nearly fired, according to sources, because of squabbles with the studio, and two backup directors were in place before Richard Donner - who is married to th

Empire’s New Cover Will Tear Your Damn Head Off
"I'm going to tear your goddamn head off." 'Wolverine' Shall Have a Vast Toy Line
20th Century Fox (best Fox century) has released four new production photos from Wolverine. There aren't any new looks at Gambit, Blob, or Deadpool, who are all in the movie for some reason, but there are some new shots of Wolverine and Sabretooth that reveal that the film is going to produce so many action figures. What kid isn't going to want their mom to buy them a Normandy Wolvie with Post-Traumatic Flashback Projector (above)! Or... Weapon X Transformation Wolvie with Bubble Tank and Sewer Swim

First Look at Gambit from X-Men Origins: Wolverine
Here’s your first look at the mutant character Gambit in the upcoming “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” played by Dane Cook — wait, that’s not Dane Cook! What the hell? Nope. That’s actually Taylor Kitsch, one of the stars of NBC’s football teen show Friday Night Lights. Yeah, Tim Riggins himself is Gambit, the card-throwing cajun from X-Men lore. Apparently when this image of Gambit showed up during a showing of the “Wolverine” trailer, audiences went batty. I

Piping Hot Wolverine Pics
I like the shot where Wolverine and Sabretooth are tied to posts awaiting execution. I certainly don’t like that Sabretooth has short hair. So far as I can remember he always had long hair and looked like he listened to Sepultura. I don’t know if he got a haircut in the comics - but I’m not pleased about his lid. The word on the street regarding this film has been getting better as of late. A while back it was nothing but bad, now some positive buzz seems to be bubbling forth. Of cou

Wolverine Empire Cover
On the front of January's Empire magazine cover we have a familiar face, in a familiar pose, wearing familiar clothes. Yep...it's Wolverine. Ideally we'd get a few shots of Liev Schreiber's Sabretooth or our first real look at Taylor Kitsch's Gambit, however it seems like we'll have to wait for the good stuff while they give us some new but not entirely unique shots of Wolverine… Continue reading Wolverine Empire Cover...

Fox killing another Superhero?
Fox don't have a great reputation of letting their talent develop their projects, and it looks like Wolverine is the next to be suffering from their interfering executives with an eye to produce a teenage friendly film. Word is that the director, Gavin Hood, who is trying to make a darker Wolverine film in keeping with the original story, was almost fired by Fox, probably because he stood his ground and wouldn't turn it into a kiddie film. Apparently it became so bad that t
