EXCLUSIVE: ‘W.’ Photo Reveals Bush’s Wild Side
By and large I love me some Oliver Stone. I will defend just about all of his work except for “Alexander”. But even I am not sure what to make of his take on the life and times of George W. Bush. “W.” opens in just over a month and each glimpse me leaves me simultaneously intrigued and skeptical. Will Oliver pull off something special? Your guess is as good as mine. In the meantime, here’s an exclusive image.
Josh Brolin in W: Josh Brolin as George W Bush
Josh Brolin looked good acting the role of George W. Bush. Brolin looked like he fitted in like a hand to a glove. Look at Josh Brolin as George W. Bush here. Doesn’t he look the part?

However, Oliver Stone said Josh Brolin was not his top choice to play the lead character in the movie, “W.” Stone said he had desired to sign on a big celebrity like Christian Bale because of the sake of the film and its financing. Stone met Bale and discussed at length but Bale tu

W trailer online
The full trailer for Oliver Stone's W is here. The life and times of George Bush are singled out for the film treatment. This film looks more light hearted than I was expecting from Stone.
Take a look inside and see what you think.
W stars Josh Brolin as George W Bush and Elizabeth Banks as Laura Bush. Other cast members include, Thandie Newton, James Cromwell and Richard Dreyfuss. The trailer is below courtesy of Rope of Silicon.
I reckon it looks a bit too lighthearted
New trailer for Oliver Stone’s ‘W’ …
Whatever your opinion of President Bush, or of Oliver Stone for that matter, this movie actually looks funny… if not sort of sad. It goes without saying that the film will be heavily biased, politically speaking, but all that aside… I can’t help but find myself a little intrigued having seen three distinctly different trailers for the film, leading me to actually look forward [out of curiosity] to an Oliver Stone film. This is an anomaly, trust me. I do not like Oliver Stone.

New 'W.' Spot Was One Fake Nose Away From Starring Christian Bale [Mister President]
newVideoPlayer("/wexclusive_def.flv", 506, 423,""); The W. news cycle is picking up again in advance of its Oct. 17 release date, and this time around no one even had to go to jail: A few days after Vanity Fair showcased a fresh family photo from the Shreveport set, a new, more irony-embracing TV spot is circulating online. View it after the jump, and tell us if Defamer's finely calibrated crystal ball didn't see the George W. Bush and Friends Variety Hour vibe coming a mile away. And if you still don't be
First Look: Photos Of Bush's White House Cabinet From Oliver Stone's 'W'
Vanity Fair has gotten their hands on the first look of Bush's entire cabinet circa 2003 from Oliver Stone's upcoming Presidential biopic, "W." From left to right we have Jeffrey Wright as former Secretary of State General Colin Powell, Toby Jones as snake in the grass Karl Rove, Dennis Boutsikaris as then-Deputy Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz, Richard Dreyfuss as VP Dick Cheney and, of course, Josh Brolin as the decider, George W. Bush.
After that we have Thandie Newton as then-Deputy Secretary of
Will W. Be The Funniest Movie Of The Season?
Even after the first W. trailer was released this summer, we weren't sure what to expect from Oliver Stone's film. Well, that's not exactly true. We expected that it would be totally bananas, but we didn't know how far it would take things and whether it would be any good.
From the looks of it, W. goes further than our imaginations even figured. One of our favorite movie blogs, In Contention, posted a new television spot (and linked to another over at Huffington Post) and well, consider us incredib
'W' Trailer Makes Commentary on Bush's Funny Face and Post-Punk Policies
Alright, Oliver Stone, if you want to make your W trailer into an abbreviated Talking Heads video, that's fine, but at least make Josh Brolin do the appropriate dance moves for it. As it stands, he's just doing a lot of funny faces and spitting pretzel out of his mouth, which doesn't make for that entertaining of a movie. Still though: take that, Bush!

W.: Trailer
Whether you love him or hate him, there is no question that George W. Bush is one of the most controversial public figures in recent memory. In an unprecedented undertaking, acclaimed director Oliver Stone is bringing the life of our 43rd President to the big screen as only he can. W. takes viewers through Bush's eventful life -- his struggles and triumphs, how he found both his wife and his faith, and of course the critical days leading up to Bush's decision to invade Iraq.

“The future? In the future we’ll all be dead” - Final W. trailer!
The final trailer for Oliver Stone’s W. is a beauty, the best cut of the lot and the one that really gets me jazzed up to see it the most.

Josh Brolin wasn’t Oliver Stone’s first choice to play Bush in ‘W’
New York, Sept 21 (ANI): Josh Brolin wasn’t Oliver Stone’s first choice to play George W. Bush in his upcoming Biopic, “W.” In fact, the filmmaker wanted to cast Christian Bale for the US President’s role. “I needed a star . . . and Josh Brolin was not a star. Originally I went for Christian […]

‘W.’ TV spot
Bad quality, but here it is. And a different one here. I’m starting to sense a Best Actor nod for Josh Brolin is more in the cards than initially expected. But that script. I don’t know, maybe it’ll all come out in the wash:

Josh Brolin, You Can Love Your Dad, Just Don't 'Love' Your Dad [Parental Affection]
When we wondered a few weeks ago whether Josh Brolin might be bringing too much sexual energy to his role as George W. Bush in the upcoming Oliver Stone-directed biopic W., little did we know how much extra erotic mojo the actor has to throw around. In fact, in an interview with (the very appropriately named) W magazine, a freshly unjailed Brolin revealed the recipient of his most unlikely sexual crush — his own father, James Brolin:
If Brolin comes off as a good ol’ boy, he’s actually a H

'W.' trailer: Can his expose of George W. Bush get Oliver Stone back in the Oscars derby?
Oliver Stone's newest film, "W.," about the life of the current U.S. commander in chief could well put the three-time Oscar winner back in the derby.
As you will see from the trailer, Josh Brolin eerily embodies George W. Bush, just as his father, James, bore a strong resemblance to President Ronald Reagan when he portrayed him in a 2003 TV miniseries. Oscar winners Richard Dreyfuss as Vice President Dick Cheney and Ellen Burstyn as Barbara Bush lend support as do Oscar nominee James Cromwell as Preside
Get Political With The Full “W” Trailer
The full trailer for Oliver Stone’s W has gone up over on Yahoo (watch it here), and I’ve got to give Josh Brolin credit, he does a solid impression of the President. But I’m still having a hard time getting over the cutesy nicknames and Stone calling George Sr. “Poppy Bush” - I thought he was called Pop-Pop… Wait, wrong wacky dysfunctional family.

George W. Bush: American Psycho?
Looks like all those theories about The Dark Knight being a metaphor for neo-conservative politics -- with Batman standing in for George W. Bush -- are about to get even more interesting thanks to this almost-casting revelation courtesy of W. director Oliver Stone.
In an interview with GQ Magazine, Stone reveals who his first choice was to play Bush in his forthcoming biopic. "We were turned down by everybody for money, including your Aunt Gertrude. It was humiliating. I make no bones about it. I think t

It will be interesting to see how both sides of the aisle react to this movie. If it’s seriously damaging to the President’s reputation (which is how the clips look), I can only imagine that the Republicans will be crying and the Democrats will be cheering. And vice versa.
And I just have to say how much I love this poster.
