NBC Picks Up 'Office,' '30 Rock,' 'Biggest Loser'

Amy Poehler: NBC has given early pickups to "The Office," "30 Rock" and "The Biggest Loser." In addition, the network has scheduled the premiere of the new Amy Poehler comedy as well as its new cooking reality show "The Chopping Block." The Poehler project will bow Thursday, April 9, at 8:30 p.m., behind "My Name Is Earl." "Chopping Block" will air Wednesdays at 8 p.m. beginning March 11. As expected, NBC, having ordered three more episodes of "ER," has pushed the show's series finale to April 2 from 9-11 pm. It will be preceded by an hourlong retrospective. "Southland" from John Wells will inherit "ER's" 10 p.m. Thursday timeslot starting April 9. "Kings," which had been slated to bow on Thursdays, will air Sundays at 8 p.m., starting March 15 with a two-hour premiere.
