Hugh Jackman: Behold! Wolverine storming the beaches of Omaha or Normandy or one of those during World War II while chomping on a cigar and sporting some serious sideburns! Behold! Wolverine and his archnemesis Creed, who may or may not be his daddy or step-brother or doppelganger from another dimension, depending on what version of the Wolverine comic books you last read, engaging in the deadliest of the stare downs! Yup, it’s more images from the upcoming Fox movie “X-Men Origins: Wolverine”, detailing — well duh — the origins of everyone’s favorite feral mutant, played by Hugh Jackman, with Liev Schrieber playing Victor Creed, the man who would one day become Sabretooth. Let’s hope the movie explains why Sabretooth eventually becomes a growling, dimwitted lackey in the previous “X-Men” movies. One can only hope. Wolverine lives a mutant life, seeks revenge against Victor Creed (who will later become Sabertooth) for the death of his girlfriend, and ultimately ends up going through the mutant Weapon X program. Starring Hugh Jackman, Ryan Reynolds, Liev Schreiber, Dominic Monaghan, Lynn Collins, Danny Huston, Daniel Henney, Taylor Kitsch, Kevin Durand, Scott Adkins, Will i Am, and directed by Gavin Hood. The claws pop again Summer 2009. see the rest of the new images at our movie gallery

First Look at Gambit in ‘Wolverine’
This is the first image of the much anticipated introduction of Gambit to the X-Men franchise played by Taylor Kitsch. This is taken from the upcoming film X-Men Origins: Wolverine.  Gambit first appeared in Uncanny X-Men #266 in August 1990. Created by writer Chris Claremont and artists Jim Lee and Mike Collins, Gambit is skilled in card throwing, hand-to-hand combat, the use of a b?, and possesses the ability to manipulate kinetic energy. A professional thief and self described ladies man, the characte

Gambit: Cajun Thief By Day, 90s Go-Go Dancer By Night [X-Men Origins: Wolverine]
Why is Gambit dressed like a 90s stripper? Empire Magazine released a bunch of new X-Men Origins: Wolverine stills, and we got a closer look at Taylor Kitsch as the card dealing, explosion-causing, mutant Gambit. While I agree with this casting, I can't help but draw attention to the terrible wardrobe choice. Where does one even go to find a silky purple button-down shirt like that? Where is his trench coat? Someone give him a coat, and get him out of that velour vest thing. Yes, I know that Origins

First Look: Taylor Kitsch As Gambit In “Wolverine”
Empire Magazine’s January issue has the first official look at Taylor Kitsch’s Gambit in the upcoming Wolverine origin flick. It’s not exactly action-packed, but a genuine production still of the card-tossing Cajun ought to tide you over until we finally get a trailer for the movie attached to The Day the Earth Stood Still in two weeks. Plus, it sure beats more pictures of Hugh Jackman as Wolverine that might as well have been recycled straight from the X-Men 3 press tour. Related Posts:

Hugh Jackman as ‘Wolverine’ on Empire Cover
Along with gracing the cover with claws and mutton chops, Jackman gives some insight as to what fans can expect from the X-Men prequel: “There’s a scene in the first X-Men movie, where Wolverine’s introduced in a bar, fighting in a cage, and you felt that he did this every night of his life. If this movie is successful, you should feel that this guy can walk straight off the end of this film and into that bar.”  Jackman isn’t the only one talking for the cover article. The magazine

Empire’s New Cover Will Tear Your Damn Head Off
"I'm going to tear your goddamn head off." Wolverine Empire Cover
On the front of January's Empire magazine cover we have a familiar face, in a familiar pose, wearing familiar clothes. Yep...it's Wolverine. Ideally we'd get a few shots of Liev Schreiber's Sabretooth or our first real look at Taylor Kitsch's Gambit, however it seems like we'll have to wait for the good stuff while they give us some new but not entirely unique shots of Wolverine… Continue reading Wolverine Empire Cover...

'Wolverine' Shall Have a Vast Toy Line
20th Century Fox (best Fox century) has released four new production photos from Wolverine. There aren't any new looks at Gambit, Blob, or Deadpool, who are all in the movie for some reason, but there are some new shots of Wolverine and Sabretooth that reveal that the film is going to produce so many action figures. What kid isn't going to want their mom to buy them a Normandy Wolvie with Post-Traumatic Flashback Projector (above)! Or... Weapon X Transformation Wolvie with Bubble Tank and Sewer Swim

Wolvie strikes pose
Empire Online managed to get Hugh Jackman to strike a mancake pose as pissed off berserker Wolverine for their upcoming issue, which you can check out small sized to the right and can click through to check out berserker sized. They also have another picture of the adamantium clawed mutant inside, which you can check out courtesy of the IESB over HERE. The flick, of course, follows the origins of Wolvie, where he goes up against the likes of Sabertooth (Liev Schrieber), William Stryker (Danny Huston) and a

Lynn Collins On Being The Silver Fox To Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine In ‘X-Men: Origins’
Actress Lynn Collins recently told MTV News that playing Marvel mutant Silver Fox in the upcoming “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” not only allowed her to embrace her Native American roots, but also brought her very close to star Hugh Jackman. “We’re lovers,” said Collins of her character’s relationship to Wolverine. In Marvel Comics history, Silver Fox was a former love of Wolverine, and the pair lived together in the Canadian wilderness during the late-1900s before a series

Producer Lauren Shuler Donner Hypes ‘Wolverine’ And ‘Deadpool’
Much like his hyper-mysterious origin in the comics, news about 2009’s “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” has remained shrouded in secrecy. With the exception of co-star Lynn Collins explaining her character’s (The Silver Fox) love affair with the X-Men’s resident berzerker, and rumors regarding onset turmoil, details about “Wolverine” have been few and far between. Fortunately, the fine folks at ComingSoon.net have got your hook-up. Catching up with “Wolverine”
