Caroline Kennedy: Michael Moore has a VP Suggestion for Caroline Kennedy: Caroline Kennedy

Via his official blog, director Michael Moore just sent an open letter to Caroline Kennedy, the head of Barack Obama's VP search committee, offering up his suggestion for the right VP candidate. Turns out Michael is not interested in any of the current choices! As he puts it:

"The media is reporting that Senator Obama has narrowed his alternatives to three men: Joe Biden, Evan Bayh and Tim Kaine. They're all decent fellows, but they are far from the core of what the Obama campaign has been about: Change. Real change. Out with the old. And don't invade countries that pose no threat to us."

The outspoken film maker goes on to explain his rationale for his opinion, taking the two senators out of the mix due to their vote of support for the Iraq war. As Moore puts it:

"For Obama to place either of these senators on the ticket would be a huge blow to the millions that chose him in the primaries over Hillary. He will undercut one of the strongest advantages he has over the Hundred-Year War senator, Mr. McCain. "

And if you're wondering what's wrong with the governor from Virginia, well, Moore just doesn't know who he is, and doesn't think America will either!

"As for Governor Kaine of Virginia, his big problem is, well, Obama's big problem -- who is he? The toughest thing Barack has had to overcome -- and it will continue to be his biggest obstacle -- is that too many of the voters simply don't know him well enough to vote for him."

So who can fill out this ticket? Never without a controversial opinion, Moore has the perfect suggestion for Caroline: "Pull a Cheney" - and run for VP herself. He puts it rather eloquently:

"What Obama needs is a vice presidential candidate who is NOT a professional politician, but someone who is well-known and beloved by people across the political spectrum; someone who, like Obama, spoke out against the war; someone who has a good and generous heart, who will be cheered by the rest of the world; someone whom we've known and loved and admired all our lives and who has dedicated her life to public service and to the greater good for all.

That person, Caroline, is you.

I cannot think of a more winning ticket than one that reads: "Obama-Kennedy."

You know what? That's pretty catchy! Look at it again with your other choices:

Obama-Biden
Obama-Bayh
Obama-Kaine
Obama-Kennedy

Oh yeah - that does have a ring to it! So c'mon Caroline - what do you say - go for it - Pull a Cheney! (We mean run for VP, not shoot a friend in the face, in case there is any confusion.

"It’s the War," Says Iowa to Hillary -- And a "Happy Blue Year" To All! ...from Michael Moore
January 3, 2007Friends,There was no doubt about it. The message from Iowa tonight was simple, but deafening:If you're a candidate for President, and you voted for the war, you lose. And if you voted and voted and voted for the war -- and never once showed any remorse -- you really lose.In short, if you had something to do with keeping us in this war for four-plus years, you are not allowed to be the next president of the United States.Over 70% of Iowan Democrats voted for candidates who either never voted f

My Vote's for Obama (if I could vote) ...by Michael Moore
Friends, I don't get to vote for President this primary season. I live in Michigan. The party leaders (both here and in D.C.) couldn't get their act together, and thus our votes will not be counted. So, if you live in Pennsylvania, can you do me a favor? Will you please cast my vote -- and yours -- on Tuesday for Senator Barack Obama? I haven't spoken publicly 'til now as to who I would vote for, primarily for two reasons: 1) Who cares?; and 2) I (and most people I know) don't give a rat's ass w

"Sicko" Gets the Oscar High-Five ...a note from Michael Moore
Friday, January 25th, 2008Friends,I just wanted to drop you a note to let you know (if you didn't already) the good news that "Sicko" has been nominated for this year's Academy Award for Best Documentary. It was a pleasant surprise when we got the news on Tuesday.Of course, every reporter who's called me in the past few days wanted to know if I plan on giving an "anti-war" or "anti-Bush" speech, should "Sicko" win, as I did when we won the Oscar for "Bowling for Columbine" in 2003. (As you may recall, it wa

So? ... A Note from Michael Moore
Friends,It would have to happen on Easter Sunday, wouldn’t it, that the 4,000th American soldier would die in Iraq. Play me that crazy preacher again, will you, about how maybe God, in all his infinite wisdom, may not exactly be blessing America these days. Is anyone surprised?4,000 dead. Unofficial estimates are that there may be up to 100,000 wounded, injured, or mentally ruined by this war. And there could be up to a million Iraqi dead. We will pay the consequences of this for a long, long time. Go

What's Obama doing on his birthday?
Today is Barack Obama's birthday - he turns 47. Happy Birthday! But how is the presidential candidate celebrating his big day? Why, raising money, of course! Obama will be in Boston for a fundraiser, which is completely sold out. Obama hopes to raise over $4 million today, of which $700,000 is expected to come from Hillary Clinton supporters. If Obama meets his goal, it would make the event the biggest fundraiser ever in the state of Massachusetts.

Edwards Admits Sexual Affair; Lied as Presidential Candidate
