Watchmen Movie Was Almost About The War On Terror [Watchmen]
Last night, it was finally New York's turn to see the 25 minutes of Watchmen and get a chance to hear from director Zack Snyder and Watchmen's artist, Dave Gibbons, about the heavy undertaking that is bringing the classic graphic novel to life on the big screen. But more importantly, Snyder shared with us a bombshell — Hollywood wanted to change the graphic novel's alternate 1985 to the George W. Bush era, and turn Watchmen into a movie about the War on Terror. After a quick viewing of a few clips Snyder
No Watchmen 2, But Plenty Of Dr. Manhattan's Blue Junk To Go Round [Watchmen]
So when making a movie when one of the characters is half naked for most of the film, when do the discussions about "just how big is too big" start? Movie Web had a chance to ask the director Zack Snyder all about Dr. Manhattan's man-parts along with a lot of other pressing Watchmen questions. Plus a few details on the 25 minutes of Watchmen that were screened for journalists in LA last night. Spoilers below!
So how does one get down to the business that is Dr. Manhattan's business? Snyder explained
Zack Snyder Speaks on Dr. Manhattan's Junk
As Movie Web reports, when Jon Osterman is transformed into Dr. Manhattan in this March's Watchmen movie, well, parents may wanna cover their children's eyes.Director Zack Snyder and company have made this graphic novel character spring to life in every area possible, including the crotch area. Here's what Snyder had to say about making Dr. Manhattan so well-endowed:It was a weird process. We made a wedge. That’s a visual effects term. It was done in quick time. We would scroll the length up and down.
What's New With Watchmen
On Wednesday, October 1, Zack Snyder screened footage from his forthcoming adaptation of Watchmen and addressed questions about the future of the film. In addition to showing more than 25 minutes of unfinished scenes, he revealed the current running time of the film and announced that he would not participate in any sequels.
Snyder, whose previous film was an adaptation of Frank Miller's 300, told journalists that while the running time is not final the film runs in excess of two hours. "The runtime righ

Zack Snyder Reveals '300' Will Be Sequelized
I know, I know -- "sequelized" isn't a word, but it's the most fitting label I can come up with. Ever since 300 hit theaters in March 2007, there has been talk of creating some kind of spin off. Would it be a prequel? Would it be a sequel? Would it be some demented fever dream invented by one Cinematical blogger on a late Colorado night?
Well, someone finally asked a 300 alumni other than poor Gerard Butler. IESB.net caught up with director Zack Snyder, who revealed that 300 would receive the sequel treatm
Zack Snyder Spills On Possible ‘300’ Sequel, New Graphic Novel
Judging from the chatter about “Iron Man 2,” the follow-up to “The Dark Knight,” and even talk about a possible sequel to “Watchmen,” it’s become clear that just getting a movie made featuring a favorite comic book character or series simply isn’t enough these days — fans wanna see franchises.
Need proof? According to a post on IESB reporting on last night’s press screening of new “Watchmen” footage hosted by director Zack Snyder, afte

Watchmen Director, Illustrator Dish On Game
We don't know much about the Watchmen game but one thing is clear: unlike some films-turned-games, people seem to actually give a crap about it. Important people, like Zack Snyder, director of the upcoming Watchmen film, and Dave Gibbons, illustrator of the original graphic novel.
Here's what Snyder and Gibbons had to say about the game at a special Watchmen event in New York City:
Snyder: "We had talked about how we were going to make a video game. I call myself a gamer, I don't know if I am. I wa

Zach Snyder wants Watchmen to be Great
I saw about 20 minutes of footage from the “unfilmable” film on Wednesday and I’m very happy to report that Zack Snyder has a found a way to make “Watchmen” truly watchable.
The most pressing question in all of the fanboy universe right now is whether Snyder’s adaptation of the landmark 1986 comics epic “Watchmen” will deliver a classic finally realized or a merely bad idea pursued too long. Alan Moore, who wrote the original graphic novel, has been steadfast

A Prequel/Sequel To 300!
After the huge success of 300, there was much talk of a potential prequel or sequel to the hit phenomenon. Well, it turns out there will be another 300 film and it will be a bit of both.
After the Warner Brothers’ Watchmen presentation on Wednesday, Robert Sanchez from IESB had a chance to throw a few questions at Zack Snyder during the cocktail reception. Simply asked when the second 300 film would be based, Snyder responded saying it would take place
