David Letterman: Wow, don't screw with David Letterman. John McCain, GOP Presidential candidate was supposed to appear on David Letterman last night but backed out at the very last minute because of his "suspended" campaign. I don't give a damn what's happening - short of a heart attack or a death in the family, you don't leave someone in a lurch like that. Letterman: McCain made me feel like 'an ugly date'
"Late Show" host David Letterman kept up a verbal assault on John McCain Thursday, saying he felt like an "ugly date" because the GOP presidential candidate backed out of a scheduled appearance on his talk show. The night before, Letterman had said McCain's decision to suspend his campaign to deal with the economic crisis "didn't smell right." David Letterman Is Unhappy With John McCain
One heartbeat away from death (hey, Tina Fey said it, I didn't) presidential candidate John McCain was supposed to have been on David Letterman's show last night. He bailed in a phone call at the last second claiming he was halting his campaign and rushing off to the airport to look after America's economic crisis. Except he didn't, and actually went to go be interviewed by Katie Couric. Letterman wasn't jazzed by this maneuver. He had Keith Olbermann on instead and spent a good portion of the program mo
