There were lots of plaids, chunky stripes, colors straight out at Wes Anderson film at September 8 Marc Jacobs Spring 2009 exhibition. Marc Jacobs played once more with 1940’s-style propered waists, pairing his tailored women’s dresses with heavy bangle bracelets. Dark metallic prints also appeared several times throughout the show, as did shoulder pads. The handbags, shoes and belts. Even the silly hats, tilted just so. Not only was Marc inspired by harem pants — he was into the colors, the cloths, the jewels and the accessories.
