Maggie Gyllenhaal Takes It In Stride

Mendes swaps in Maggie Gyllenhaal
Maggie Gyllenhaal will replace Toni Collette in Sam Mendes' untitled relationship comedy for Focus Features.
Film, which stars John Krasinski and Maya Rudolph, is about a young couple who travel around the U.S. searching for a place to put down roots. Dave Eggers and wife Vendela Vida penned the original screenplay.
Gyllenhaal will play a bohemian college professor who is an old friend of the character played by Krasinski.
Collette dropped out of the film due to scheduling delays on the shoot, which
Maggie Gyllenhaal Doesn't Care About What Critics Say
Maggie Gyllenhaal says that she doesn’t care about what critics say about her on the red carpet anymore. While at the UK premiere of The Dark Knight she wore a backless dress (or pants suit) and said that after the amount of time that it took for her to get ready she was ready to rock that red carpet.
“To be honest it takes a while to get ready and a lot of thought. But the amount of scrutiny is sometimes unbearable. This time I’ve learned - I’m not looking at any pictures, I’m not paying a
Mega Maggie Gyllenhaal
Once the queen of quirky indie movies, The Dark Knight star Maggie Gyllenhaal braces for the highs — and surprising lows — of blockbuster-size fame.
Maggie Gyllenhaal: I don’t like fiance Peter Sarsgaard’s sex scenes
Maggie Gyllenhaal has revealed there are double-standards regarding nude scenes in her house: she hates it when fiance Peter Sarsgaard strips for the camera but he likes it when she does it.
The Dark Knight actress explained recently: “After Secretary, people knew that I’d get naked, but I won’t get naked for anything - only if it makes sense.
“I hate it when Peter does a love scene. He’s very understanding - it doesn’t seem to bother him [when I do one].
“I’d hate it [if I was him]
Maggie Gyllenhaal: Hit or Miss?
Maggie Gyllenhaal attended the premiere of Batman: The Dark Knight tonight in London. But I am not so sure about her outfit?! She does have the most wanted accessory, Christian Bale!

Can't wait to see Christopher Nolan's Batman sequel? We've pieced together the clips released so far so you don't have to!
"The night is darkest just before the dawn," says new Gotham City district attorney Harvey Dent in the Dark Knight. Which is all very well unless, like me, you haven't actually seen the film yet and are in danger of eating your own face off with the anticipation.
But never fear, because in this brave new world of multimedia, one hardly needs to go to the cinema at all in order to
Just Say No!
Celebrities have kibble for brains, so they will wear whatever some insane gay stylist tells them to wear. Some of these pictures below are proof of that. You are smarter than this. Just say no!
Naomi Campbell wasn't the only foolio to wear genie/MC Hammer pants to the CFDA Awards last night. Maggie GyllenHAG did too and the results have given me a headache. She looks like Rhoda and Hammer's bastard child.
Hammer pants will never be cute! They should be banished for eternity along with diaper shorts,

Eric Stoltz Heads to 'Fort McCoy'
One man to not truly break through the 1980s stigma and revamp his career is Eric Stoltz. James Spader did a heck of a job with it, now being smarmy fun on Boston Legal, as did the likes of Jon Cryer, Kiefer Sutherland, Charlie Sheen, and more. But then again, even Stoltz's '80s classics, Mask and Some Kind of Wonderful, were drowned by the likes of Molly Ringwald and her swarm of teen romances, so it's not like he ever had a bit spotlight.
Stoltz remains a bit on the outside, but still working as hard as

Walking away with it
I remember slipping into a small theater in 1987 to see something called “Street Smart,” the new Christopher Reeve film that I had no particular interest in, to be quite honest. Two hours later I emerged knowing two things: Morgan Freeman was a brilliant actor, and he would be nominated for an Academy Award.
In a rather lacking movie, Freeman was terrifying as Fast Black, a vicious pimp who sees in a young reporter the chance to get off of a murder rap. At one point in the film he holds a pair

He allowed attorneys to file an amended complaint that could restore some of the claims.

Aaron Eckhart on the future of Two-Face in Batman
Of course Heath Ledger aka “the Joker” is never coming back to the Batman movie franchise. But now I read that Two-Face is totally, definitely, no-coming-back DEAD.
Aaron Eckhart, the surprise star behind Harvey Dent/Two-Face, talked to ComingSoon.net/ Superhero Hype! and straightened the facts out.
CS/SHH!: Is Harvey Dent alive?
Aaron Eckhart: No. He is dead as a door nail.
Now in case we’re still thinking resurrection happens in the movies all the time, Eckhart confesses that Chri

'DARK KNIGHT' BREAKS 8 RECORDS; $155.3M Weekend Will Beat 'Spidey 3'; But Rival Studios Questioning Numbers
SUNDAY AM: Warner Bros is reporting The Dark Knight will finish with a total North American weekend take of $155.3M. Here's the surprising studio breakdown: $67.8 million Friday, including those record-setting opening day midnight shows; $48 million Saturday (-29%), and projected $39.4 million Sunday (-18%). So if Sunday holds up, that FSS (Fri-Sat-Sun) non-holiday figure will be enough to snag the record from Spider-Man 3's $151.1 million. But it'll be close. The latest Batman installment did not set a rec
