Hollywood bible Variety magazine said the pair were developing a project with US studio DreamWorks, which made films like Transformers and Sweeney Todd.
The other film would be made with UK studio Working Title, the home of Hot Fuzz and Atonement, Variety said.
The pair are already filming a US version of Little Britain for cable TV network HBO.
